I commend Nederland and some of their fans. I have much respect for Coach English but some of his fans and my personal encounters with them have made it hard for me to support the Bulldogs and that's a shame but at the same time why would such a fan base need my approval or support....Good luck to our 20-4A teams still in the battle! [/quote]I wasn't talking about you personally, but the Big Ned fans that have been going back and forth with DV as a whole.  The man showed up to talk sports in your back yard and with all the back and forth that was going on, I just know that the bulldogs would show up to the show.  dogs1218, I know your situation, so I know you couldn't make it. 

And just to think...  All this dislike and things to say to DV.  The man announced that he would be in your back yard, (Hamburger Depot) to talk sports and to meet the man behind the screen name.  I was there as well.  Absolutely NONE of the Bulldog faithfull showed up.  The man was there to meet and greet and talk up some sports.  So, to Play 'devil's advocate', the man was there and you (Nederland fans) were a no show.  Why was that?

[/quote]Actually, those are the more dangerous teams in the playoffs.  Those teams that are well rounded are very hard to stop.  You can't key in on just one or 2 things.  They do a lot of things well from different spots whereas teams with your K. Smiths and your S. Prudhommes, you know where the damage will come from.  Don't let your guard down.  Consider ALL of these teams dangerous.  At the same time, Nederland has it's strength.  Coaching and great roll players and a couple of big gamers in Weisbrod and English.  (English showed a playoff flare/swagger that I like in the game vs. Dayton).

I've just left the doubleheader with Ozen and Central playoff games.  Actually, there was a  doubleheader last year as well.  VERY nice venue.  Lots of room and space and in comfortable confines.  The only thing is that parking can be brutal.  I don't know about this weekend or if the college kids will be hanging around, but I know that I parked accross the street and had to walk maybe 3 or 4 blocks to get to the gym.  That's nothign to yall die hard fans.  I know  you can handle a little walking.  8) 8)

I love articles that show love to the seniors.  Each one of these kids are undisputed leaders on their team.  I hope they do well this year and beyond!

[/quote]He have the freshman PG, but he was not ready for a big playoff game like this one with turnovers off the bat, so he was removed and we inserted a Sr. PG, which was a good move.  The box and 1, I agree, should have been called off.  I would like to know how many UNCONTESTED 3 pointers we gave up.  It was like warmups for King.  You can't do that and expect to advance in these playoffs.  I'm glad that the golf ball I threw at the staff's head jogged him brain back to regular human being thoughts or we would have lost this one.
