1. Ouch!!!  Man, Ouch twice!  Well, at least Ozen is still in the playoffs. And at least Livingston still have a little fight in them.  They want a playoff spotLooks like all they need is a slip up from LC-M.  We need a slip up from Nederland on friday...  Or a dynamite game from Ozen.  Either one would make me happy.  Lol
 2. Couldn't post updates due to little to no signal in Vidor's gym.  But amen to the dunk count!  Daddy23 had that covered!  8) 8)

How many coaches at every level, in every sport, would be looking for work If your researching then hurry up and get to the part about what was violated.  He was helping kids!  If helping kids out is his biggest fault then he's still the guy for WB 2012 Soulja your not giving the kids enough credit. Did they not adjust to Stump.
You're missing my point.

He was the best shooter i've seen come through Vidor in a while.
Yes, Cole was a starting underclassmen on that senior laden Vidor team that Beat Ozen 3 times in 1 year.  After all of those seniors left, Cole came into his own as a clutch player.  Although that team really wasn't as good as the year before, Cole commanded attention close to the end of games.
Noah did not start on the team who beat Ozen 3 times in 2004, but he did come off the bench for quality minutes. George did not even start on that team as a Junior until later that season. Vidor made the playoffs in Noah's Soph and JR seasons but fell one game short of the playoffs his senior year. He did not have a lot of help his Senior year.
MUST you put emphasis on "the team that beat Ozen 3 times in 2004"? ::) ::) ::) 8)
You have to.  That's what that team will be remembered for.  Back then, Ozen will still OZEN.  8)
You paint the picture as though they have so many liabilities.  If so, how is their record what it is?  Furthermore, I think you are over enamored with "creating your own shot".  THere are a lot more "creators" out there than there are scorers.  When we played your team, I can promise you that one of the largest problems you had was one player trying to "create" too often.  As for the spot up shooters, if they are good ones, they have the ability to remove the defenders from helping out at all.  Didn't Bobby KNight pretty well document the fact that you dont need a lot of one on one expertise to have a good team?
We lost to your team, H-J because we couldn't/didn't have a consistant 3 point shooting game, which we do have now.  Even you made that observation I believe.
I remember making the comment about poor three point shooting but I am pretty confident I did not list it as the reason you lost the game.  You lost the game because a better team beat you and there is no way you can re-write history.  If you can, then I want to claim that we shouldnt have lost our first game at Silsbee.  Your very own comments about that game included a criticism of the coaching staff and mine included a comment about your top player doing too much 1 on 1.  Whatever shortcomings Central has corrected by now would indicate that whatever shortcomings HJ had has been corrected by now.
I can roll with that.
I will be sending your new dunk-o-meter to you today.
Well, tonight, I'll need more than one since the one that will be there will probably short circuit due to accessive numbers.  It would appear the same thing will happen when the Hawks soar in as well.  8)
 9.
If the program were headed in the right direction, do you think Stump would be in Atascosita?  Why have a Stump guy,  when you could have had Stump himself? If it were only local guys in the mix, then choose the best one and let's go to work. Reality is you have a better choice now in the deck. It's the experiance
Leave it up to 'some', it is still 'uncertain' why Stump left, even though there were articles stating why.  I just think that if Stump have been grooming these guys, I don't see why it would be a hard transition for the kids.  They will run the same system.  The kids have familiarity.  I think it's a win/win situation for the kids, which is what is important.
 10.
Central's inconsistency lies with their defensive play. If they play defense like they did against Nederland the last time, they are a very good team. It takes the pressure off of their offense and not having to force the issue as much on that end. IMO, it's all about their defensive play that makes the Jags good. BTW, I too think Nederland is a very good team and extremely well coached. But, my observation I think is a very clear one on what their weakness is and every team has some sort of weakness no matter how good they are.
Karma +2 once again.

 23. Mario Riley - Central '07 (he won that slam dunk tourney they had at the Montagne Center in 2005.  That's the one where all the area kids participated in the 3 point shootout and stuff. )
 24.
Fact, I have seen enough of Nederland this year to know that they are a great "spot" shooting team. Pass the ball to shooter, spots up and hits three pointer or just inside line. What is their weakness is having to create their own shots. Nederland really only has two guys that can do that consistently. What Central did was defend the spot shot and forced Nederland to put the ball on the floor and shoot off the dribble. Central forced them into their weakness. Why Central did not do this the first game in district (I was there) is beyond me. Central defended much better this time around.
Preach, AAW! 2+ karma for you, Sir!
