1.
Why didnt Central's defense MAKE Nedrland shoot that low of  percentage the first time they played?
We (Central) BEAT Nederland the 'first time'.  The second time (I think this is what you are talking about), Nederland turned it up a notch in the 4th period and WE couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Also, our Staff brains were not placed on the charger before the game as well.  ;D
 2. Man, Livingston only mustered 30 points against Lumberton.  I'm not being a comedian, but have you seen Lumberton?
 3. Remember, guys, Nederland didn't just shoot 22% from the field.  They were FORCED into that percentage.  Nederland was bothered by Centrals fans close outs and length. Nederland also for some reason, wasn't as trigger happy as they normally are.  They were chased off of their spots all night.  All this being said and Central didn't use a full or half court press the entire game.  Credit should be given to Central for the great game plan.  Now free throw?  Central was horrible. THAT falls on the team (Central).

Ozen realized the weak links in Nederland and plan on showing the rest of the district just how bad nederland can be beat. And I do stand corrected I was advised that it isnt point difference that they will play to break the three way tie. Not only once will central an ozen blow out nederland but get to humilate them again in those games too. 8)
I'll take the W over the humiliation.  Get the W is all it's about.
 5.

I sat next to the Ozen Coaches/scouts that were watching Nederland.  Let's just say that the things that I saw that we did good as far as beating Nederland, they saw way more than I saw and they will be ready.  Now the Scouts had a game plan.  Now if the coach will actually follow through is another thing.
It took two years to find a way to beat Nederland?
I guess it did.  And it took 2 years to put a team on the court that beat them twice in one year with a team that starts 3 freshmen.  I'd say it have been long overdue and worth the wait.
Game plans are great but they still must be executed by the players.  The coaches can only do so much.
True.  So very true.  And also, Ozen don't have a player like Smith, so it may be a little difficult for them to successfully pull off the identical game plan as Central did.

 8. The 3 way tie senerio?  If that were to happen, I'm sure they'll flip to see who gets the 3 seeds.  But it would be nice to some action on the court to settle it.  Wishful thinking.  ;)
 9.
Wow Pete I see you know how to do simple math.  Looks like you learned something in school.  Im so proud of you.  That being said them guys from Ozen better watch out.  We are gunning for you.  They ain't got a snowballs chance
:o :o
 10.
After Ozen seen that smack down Central put on Nederland. They are planning on a worse blow out than the Central game was 49 to 34 is like 98 to 68 now thats a blow out. They are so ready for Nederland that they are planning on a 100 to 0 game. They are so mad Steve they want to make the public mad at them for humilating Nederland on the court. Im not trying to start anything looks like Central already finished it. ;)
:o :o :o :o

 13.
Kristian Smith is a heck of a talent...in my estimation, the Johnson kid could do what Smith does if they switched places...I DON'T think he is better than Smith, but I think he can make the same impact on that team as a JUNIOR.. ;)
Ok...  I gocha.  8) 8)
If they don't miss that kid, the Cavs don't miss Lebron..... ::) ::).....Central does not have a kid BETTER than him, including Kristian Smith...They may have one or two as good as, but not better...
I was willing to roll with you on we don't have anyone better than him, but you threw Smith in there.  You trippin now, man!  ;D ;D
Those guys I left out (Garriet and Moten) were 3 point shooters...Skip was the BEST mid range jump shooter I have seen at Central since probably Damon Sweet...I didnt forget about them though!  ;)
You are right about Dubie, but not with Moton.  I've seen too many times on a fast break, he pulled up for the a little past the free throw line Jumper.  It was ice water.  That 3 point shot?  Not too much.
Moton who finished in 2005, not 95, by the way, could really shoot it..He shot 3's as well as any Central player to come through there...But as far as 15 foot and in (mid range) Skip, Damon Sweet, and Marshall Scott were tops in THAT category..
Yea, I meant 05, but put 95 instead.  Lol

 19. David Dixon - '02 Clarence Matthews -  '03 Kristain Smith - '12 Phillip Jefferson - '09 My mind went blank now.  I'm thinking of the big post player that graduated a year before Matthews.
 20.
Beaumont Central should of did everything they could to keep Devante Johnson there. He wouldve been a great asset to the team. But best of wished to him at H-J
Water under the bridge now. He's doing great for H-J, and we're (Central)are doing fine as well.  We would have been fine with or without that kid.  :) :)
 21. Tied for first...  (cough, cough).  What an I say.  With 2 weeks left, winning this will be a breeze!  8) 8) 8) Can't you just see that swagger?  ;D ;D
 22.
Soulja,  I was hoping Central would have dropped Memorial and picked up another 4A school from somewhere.  I like them picking back up WO-S.
I don't have a problem with Memorial.  Never did.  I would have hoped that we would keep them on the schedule. I'm glad that we got rid of Ball.  They have not been a chalenge the last 4 years that we've played them.  WO-S is a good one.  Those games go back and forth, and are close games.
 23.
They are not playing in Cowboys...some folks jumped the gun...hearing the game will either be at Kincade Stadium or DeSoto
There is a Beaumont Enterprise article confirming that it is true that they'll play at Cowboys stadium.
 24.
Speaking of FB, would you (Soulja) rather see the Central FB or BB team win? Obviously you want both, just curious which sport you have more passion (or care about more)? How about Central fans in general? I would rather see our bball team be more successful, but the entire town of Nederland is (obviously) more passionate about FB.
Actually, it's a little more with the football team.  Basketball?  We expect to be good in basketball.  It's the only thing that we know that we'll consistently make the playoffs in.  The way we think, it's pretty much a given.  It always have been since I was a kid.  Now football is the reason I'm on these forums.  The disrespect aspect from the local media constantly picking against Central is what drives me to be the fan I am.  We have the talent every year, but other teams are always picked  above us.  So I'd have to say Football is an A+ and Basketball is just an A.  Not that much differece, just a little.
