1.
This certainly doesn't apply to the Ozen today....it's sad that there are maybe 50 people in attendance until they play Central. I can't seem to understand why there isn't at least 1 person from the family there for each child participating including the cheerleaders. As unhappy as I am with the way things are going, I can't see not supporting my child (hurry up June 2013).
It was the oposite effect durring the boutte days.  Ozen would come to a gym near you.  You KNEW they would win and it would be ugly.  Not as many people would show up due to the lopsided victories, unless it's playoff games or vs. Central.
 2. It's Griffin that we're talking about.  THROW IT DOWN, BIG FELLA! (in my Bill Walton voice)  ;D
 3. It wasn't even a blasted dunk.  He didn't touch the rim.  he threw it down, therefore, it's NOT 'Billboard' worthy.
 4.
I am taking the Dogs!!!!!
Of course.. As expected.
 5.
That pre-district schedule sucks!  LCM and Lumberton......REALLY?  What the heck does that do for you?  Geeze!!!!!! Why not just play Central?  Let's really play a bad team if that's all we can get.  :o :o
::) ::) ::) ::)
 6. It actually is the coaching.  That 2007 Ozen squad had mediocre talent on it, but they still marched to state.  THAT made a believer out of me.
 7.
Is there a possibility that Ozen simply isnt as good as they have been in the past?  It happens to everyone at one time or another.
I don't know.  Ozen beat Livingston by double digits in the first district meeting.
 8.
I would have gone to game but BMTSOULJA talked me out of it. His theory on driving 2-hours to Livingston to watch a 32 minute basketball made $ents to me.
See there?  ;D

Not that Nederland should not be COMPETITIVE, but the way they have owned 20-4A over the last two years is just not acceptable.
Just a little clarification: WHEN Nederland wins Friday night and next Tuesday, it will be 3 years. ;)
Confident that you'll beat Ozen I see.  ;)
As a loyal fan, I have to be confident that we will win, but I know that Ozen has the ability to win. I wonder if Ozen will come out mad Friday night or demoralized? They prob had all kinds of confidence after beating Central. Just wondering if they have the leadership to bounce back against Nederland after a surprising loss to the Lions last night? Either way, Ned needs to treat this game as a playoff game.
I'm really don't know how to take Ozen now. I've seen them play several times this year.  They've gotten a lot better than they were at the beginning of the year.  Just when you get big on them, they lose to Livingston.  Not a close lose, but a blowout loss.  Yes, you can say that it was a trap game.  But how do you think Nederland will come into this game? They sure in the heck won't be rolling over for them or feeling sorry for Ozen.  Ozen will need to find a way to get that mini-swagger back they had after beating us and incorperated it into Friday night's matchup against Nederland.  I'm just not really sure what Ozen team will show up.
 10. Also, take into account what Ozen has comming back.  They were YOUNG last year.

 12. If Nederland wins district, they'll more than likely face Dayton or one of those other teams trying to get that 4th spot.  Nederland will mop the floor with them.  Now  it gets interesting If something happens if they get #2 seed.  Wouldn't they be looking eye to eye with North Forest?
 13. Allow Crosby to dunk the ball so it can ignite a big 38-0 run.

 16.
I would go THIS FAR: 1. Hardin Jefferson 2. Silsbee 3. Nederland 4. Central 5. Ozen 6. LCM 7. Livingston 8. PNG *replacing Lumberton and Vidor with Silsbee and HJ Tragic... :(...true, but tragic, considering the talent pools, history, and school sizes. You add two 3A programs to this district and Ozen MISSES the playoffs....just sad. :o
:o :o  :-X :-X (bursting at the seams)
 17. Well, West Brook have been content to mediocrity for over 10 years now.  Ozen lost a Coach Boutte and now you see what have happened, and Central..  well, whatever.  I think a breath of fresh air for all 3 schools would be nice.  A basketball mind added to the already evident talent would be very nice indeed.
Special note to Soulja-  Last night, Prudhomme stole the ball at half court and there was no defender between him and the basket.  As he made his way toward the goal, I stood up and screamed to NOT dunk it and to pull up for the SMRJ but I guess he didnt hear me.  He went ahead and made a thunderous dunk.  Things turned out ok, though as that dunk failed to ignite a 33-8 WOS run.
It's only a 'sweet' midranged jumper when you have a defender in front of you.  If you have a clear path the basket, lay it up.  That's right, 'LAY' it up.  ;D ;D  Didn't ignite a big run?  :o :o :D :D
 22.
He moves pretty well for being that big and he's only a jr.  Soulja, did you get a dunk count on that video?  ;D [Hidden Content]
He missed (they call that getting 'hung' ) a dunk at the 2:17 mark, so seeing that, I felt it neccessary to stop the dunk count.  He's 7'5" for goodness sake.  And I only saw a sweet midrange jumper in warmups and not in the game.  Free throws were not good.  ;) ;)
