If I'm not mistaken, in the offseason, isn't there a huge tarp-like cover that can be placed on the turf to avoid weathering?  Isn't that what the NFL does?

I read this article.  This is really odd.  That turf is built to withstand any weather.  Memorial's turf and I believe that Beaumont ISD's turf was made from the same company and nothing is wrong with their stuff.  I hope it's not vandalism.

But no offense to Ozen, they dont have the talent like they used to when he was coaching [/quote] Thats not entirely true...the 2007 team that he took to the state championship game was about like this team this year...They were not that big, they had a really good scoring guard in Kris Richards, and a servicable PG alongside him...a 6'4 post in Stephen Moten....nothing spectacular..District Champs, Region III champs..State Finalist...I will say this....THERE IS NO WAY THIS STREAK IS ANYWHERE NEAR 7 GAMES LET ALONE 27 IF BOUTTE WAS STILL AT OZEN...Not saying that Nederland would not have had success still, because I believe that they would have...playoff runs and all...but winning district like they have? NO WAY... [/quote]Very great point.  I've seen that team with my very eyes.  That team was not that big and not that talented. Probably the least talented team that Boutte ever put together.  That team evolved in the playoffs and marched to state.  i can remember saying to a friend, there is no way THAT team made it to the tournement.  I was in utter disbelief.  From that day forward, I had a new found respect for Coach Boutte.

MY OH MY!!! :o :o [/quote]Actually, DV, that #21 had leg cramps most of the game, so she played most of the game very gingerly.  You should see her go on a regular day.  She have the best handles of any player on the court last night and she have wheels, and the no look passing?  All I could say when I first saw her last  year was 'cut it out!'.  lol The score showed what happened.  Central clawed and scrapped to get back in the game when it looked like Ozen would run away with it.  Ozen could not stop #1  Washington for Central.  She went bazzerk in the second half and almost led the Lady Jags to a victory. 

There was no question at all that with that amount of time left (and with the previous continueation 3 point shot that was waived off by officials) that Kristain was going to shoot that 3.  Ozen should have just played good defense and lived with the outcome of a contested 3.
