They realize that if central can do it they can too. But they want to put all doubts aside about who the best is Ozen wants to prove a point whipping Nederland down.
Wait a minute Pete092775, pump your brakes just a little lol...I love my PANTHERS all the same but still want to take on Livingston 1st
LOL!  He must be a player!  ;D
 2.
dont back out now soulja the weakest link always breaks first under pressure. 8)
It was the weakest link Friday, but as a whole, I would say that Nederland's coaching staff is superior than Central and Ozen's anyday.  Had Nederland's staff made an adjustment and it worked, Central's staff wouldn't have made a good in game adjustment.  MAYBE they would have made one at halftime or something like that.  I've seen it too many times this year.  Ozen's?  I don't know.  They made decent coaching moves from what I've seen.
 3.
ching ching ching ching Soulja you got the million dollar question right. The weakest link is exactly that Mr.E cant adjust on the fly. ;)
I wouldn't say that he CAN'T make adjustments (I've seen him make in game adjustments plenty of times), but he didn't make any adjustments inthe Central game Friday for some reason.
 4. Brooks Ybarra - Barbers Hill R. Donahoe - H-J Noah Cole - Vidor Ashton Hall - Kountze
 5.
Aggies sounds like Central just studied the first game and learn there weak link that i have been talking about. Guess Central just out coached the Nederland coach cant run the same offense for ever got to learn to adjust. 8)
It really would have been interesting to see IF Nederland would have made an adjustment.  We're not good at in game adjustments.
 6. Mario Riley - Central '07 (he won that slam dunk tourney they had at the Montagne Center in 2005.  That's the one where all the area kids participated in the 3 point shootout and stuff. )
 7.
Fact, I have seen enough of Nederland this year to know that they are a great "spot" shooting team. Pass the ball to shooter, spots up and hits three pointer or just inside line. What is their weakness is having to create their own shots. Nederland really only has two guys that can do that consistently. What Central did was defend the spot shot and forced Nederland to put the ball on the floor and shoot off the dribble. Central forced them into their weakness. Why Central did not do this the first game in district (I was there) is beyond me. Central defended much better this time around.
Preach, AAW! 2+ karma for you, Sir!
 8.
Why didnt Central's defense MAKE Nedrland shoot that low of  percentage the first time they played?
We (Central) BEAT Nederland the 'first time'.  The second time (I think this is what you are talking about), Nederland turned it up a notch in the 4th period and WE couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Also, our Staff brains were not placed on the charger before the game as well.  ;D
 9. Man, Livingston only mustered 30 points against Lumberton.  I'm not being a comedian, but have you seen Lumberton?
 10. Remember, guys, Nederland didn't just shoot 22% from the field.  They were FORCED into that percentage.  Nederland was bothered by Centrals fans close outs and length. Nederland also for some reason, wasn't as trigger happy as they normally are.  They were chased off of their spots all night.  All this being said and Central didn't use a full or half court press the entire game.  Credit should be given to Central for the great game plan.  Now free throw?  Central was horrible. THAT falls on the team (Central).
 11.
Ya two years is a good streak but after that blow out by central. Ozen realized the weak links in Nederland and plan on showing the rest of the district just how bad nederland can be beat. And I do stand corrected I was advised that it isnt point difference that they will play to break the three way tie. Not only once will central an ozen blow out nederland but get to humilate them again in those games too. 8)
I'll take the W over the humiliation.  Get the W is all it's about.
It took two years to find a way to beat Nederland?
I guess it did.  And it took 2 years to put a team on the court that beat them twice in one year with a team that starts 3 freshmen.  I'd say it have been long overdue and worth the wait.
Game plans are great but they still must be executed by the players.  The coaches can only do so much.
True.  So very true.  And also, Ozen don't have a player like Smith, so it may be a little difficult for them to successfully pull off the identical game plan as Central did.

 15. The 3 way tie senerio?  If that were to happen, I'm sure they'll flip to see who gets the 3 seeds.  But it would be nice to some action on the court to settle it.  Wishful thinking.  ;)
 16.
Wow Pete I see you know how to do simple math.  Looks like you learned something in school.  Im so proud of you.  That being said them guys from Ozen better watch out.  We are gunning for you.  They ain't got a snowballs chance
:o :o
 17.
After Ozen seen that smack down Central put on Nederland. They are planning on a worse blow out than the Central game was 49 to 34 is like 98 to 68 now thats a blow out. They are so ready for Nederland that they are planning on a 100 to 0 game. They are so mad Steve they want to make the public mad at them for humilating Nederland on the court. Im not trying to start anything looks like Central already finished it. ;)
:o :o :o :o
If they don't miss that kid, the Cavs don't miss Lebron..... ::) ::).....Central does not have a kid BETTER than him, including Kristian Smith...They may have one or two as good as, but not better...
I was willing to roll with you on we don't have anyone better than him, but you threw Smith in there.  You trippin now, man!  ;D ;D
Those guys I left out (Garriet and Moten) were 3 point shooters...Skip was the BEST mid range jump shooter I have seen at Central since probably Damon Sweet...I didnt forget about them though!  ;)
You are right about Dubie, but not with Moton.  I've seen too many times on a fast break, he pulled up for the a little past the free throw line Jumper.  It was ice water.  That 3 point shot?  Not too much.
Moton who finished in 2005, not 95, by the way, could really shoot it..He shot 3's as well as any Central player to come through there...But as far as 15 foot and in (mid range) Skip, Damon Sweet, and Marshall Scott were tops in THAT category..
Yea, I meant 05, but put 95 instead.  Lol
