1. Yes, I know, but I'm sure good teams like Montgomery thought it was funny going into the game untill Vidor wiped their smiles off their face.  I have no idea if they return their defense, but they do return that Ironman QB of theirs.
 2.
Home team wins
Yes, that's what I meant.  The first game is in Silsbee, so the Tigers take it.  The game in the Hawk's Nest will be H-J.
 3.
What year was it dc gave yall the army strong team of the year
2008. We lost to Friendswood by 1 point and would have been playing Lake Travis the next week.
 4. Man, bump that!  What will be the dunk count?  ;D ;D I think that this series will be split at home.  Tigers take this one 75-72.
 5.
This was a down year dayton we had a very young team but still dont think vidor would have beat us. Last I checked png beat vidor so no reason to think it wouldnt have been the same outcome against dayton. Im looking for central to get back into its rightful place this year I still cant imagine central not in the playoffs.
Well, the norm for Central is that we have 2 or 3 strong years then a down year where we miss the playoffs.  Check out since we've been 4a: 2002 - Playoffs 1 round 2003 - Playoffs 3 rounds 2004 - Missed playoffs with 1-9 record didn't score a point untill week 4 and only win was against Lumberton 2005 - Outright district champs 2 round playoff run 2006 - Playoffs 2 rounds 2007 - Missed playoffs with 4-6 record 2008 - Playoffs 4 rounds deep 2009 - Playoffs 3 rounds deep 2010 - Outright District Champs 2 rounds deep 2011 - Need I even say?  ;D 2012 - Well, you get my drift.  ;)
 6.
Just have to say one more thing for vp32. Last time we played vidor in district games over 2 years we beat them 40-0 and 42-7.
I know what Vidor team that you're in reference to.  But in defense of Vidor, trust me, Bronco, you would not have wanted to see 2011's version of the Pirates.  I'm just sayin'.
 7.

Livingston make the playoffs???  I think not.  I said that LCM would make it, and I still firmly believe that they will!!!!
Ya Zeek, looks like you know your basketball!  8) You've said it a few times now (about LCM). They must have had a really bad game when they played Central last week.
LC-M's guard play is suspect.  If they get it down low, it's over.  We denied their bigs.  Also, their guards were hesetant to fire up the 3 ball.  The court was never spreaded.  We just sat in their big's front pocket all night.
 8. When a team is facing the 2 time district Champions, teams flock to the gyms to hopefully see their team dethrone the Champs.  It was like that when Ozen was always winning district.  You wanted to be there to see your team knock off the champs.
 9. You have to box out and you have to be able to make shots in the 4th.  Call a time out and work a play to get an easy basket.  If nothing, drive in and draw a foul.  I guess that was a moot point since we were horrible from the free throw line as well.  >:(
 10.
From what I saw on the Carl Padilla site, we will be 21-4A with seven teams in district instead of eight. Livingston is moving to where they belong. No Dayton (and I'm one of the people who DON'T want them in our district). One purple team is enough.
I  hope that's true so there can be 4 nondistrict games instead of 3 to prepare.
 11. I'm not buying the racial stuff either.  I'm sure the real reason will come to light soon.
 12. There's another game to be played....  this time at Central.  So, It may not happen...  8)
 13. The major thing that ive seen was no good box outs and way too many putback attempts by Weisbrod and co. It'll be straightened out.
 14.

Im confident that we have it in us to beat Nederland since we've done it already this year.  We'll regroup and get it together for the next meeting.  8) 8)
Home court advantage always plays a big role in games like this. I'm guessing the next meeting will be intense!
It will be.  We should be on another big winning streak when we play again.  I cant wait.

I also dont know why we called off the pressure.  We used this to get back in the game.  I also dont know why we dont have set plays out of timouts or set plays at all.  We have to be able to get buckets or get open looks for buckets.  I would say we were outcoached, but this is not the case.  We forgot how to make baskets in the 4th and Nederland played their best ball and executed their game plan in this period.  Props to them.  We look forward to paying them back in the next meeting at Central.  The officiating was trash, but i cant complain because it was trash on bpth ends. Dunk count was at 0, but there were some key plays on dunk attempts.  K Smith got his dunk attempt blocked from behind and #21 for Nederland got his dunk blocked by our shortest man, a 5'6" freshmen on a breakaway dunk.  Lets rebound Friday, Jags, get better and get those bulldogs next time.
I'm guessing he stopped the pressure, because it wasn't effective, and it led to some easy buckets for Ned.
It was effective.  It lead to some consecutive turnovers.
 16. It looked like Gullery (sp) was the only one back for Central.  I didnt see Smith.

 19. How do you figure I'm jealous?  I'm happy for the Nederland program.
 20.
I guess "use him" implied that the offensive player could do whatever he wanted with the defender on him.  Got it straight off the streets in Orange many many years ago.
Oh.  Ok.  Gotcha.  8)
;D ;D ;D ;D a two nanded chest pass count?  ;D ;D  You know, I've just thought about something.  'Those' fans probably get a kick out of 'crossing over' someone and making their 'ankle break' and cause the defender to fall only to miss the layup or turn the ball over. Since it got the fans excited, maybe we should keep a count of that as well, right?
Not necessary.  I have been seeing about 200 games per year for many years and there has never been a crossover that caused a broken ankle.  But since you bring that up, how about this?  I would like to see somebody keep an "airball" shot count in spite of the fact that the airball is no more detrimental to the teams score than a missed mid range jumper.
The 'ankle break' is the basketball term when you slip and fall after being 'shaken' with a 'crossover'.  Come on, Stevenash.  Have you not heard of those 'basketball' terms before?  LOL @ an airball shot count.  ;D
New term for me.  Familiar with cross over and shaken but never heard of ankle break.  There was a time when "use him" was the term reflecting the cross over that caused an ankle break.
'Use him'?  I've heard of 'abuse him' meaning that the defender cannot keep the offensive player from doing what he wanted to do.
