1.
I think that dunk pissed Silsbee off. If Prudhomme would have just did a layup maybe the out come would have been different. Don't dunk on the Tigers and expect to win.  ;D
Ha haaa!  I love it!!!! 8)  8)
 2. I'm tied for 3rd!!!!  Wooooo!  ;D
 3.

Was just going through the game broadcast from last night. At the 3:51 mark of the 2nd quarter, HJ's Shawn Prudhomme got a break away 2 hand slam(only dunk of the game for either team) to up the Hawks lead to 25-14, largest of the game for HJ. From that point on till 3 seconds left in the 3rd quarter (game time total of 11:48) Silsbee out scored HJ 35-6, to give them their largest lead (and the largest lead for either team) at 49-31. This 35-6 run is a pretty good reason among others as to why Silsbee won the game. ;)
BTW, for those "dunk enthusiasts", that dunk for HJ didn't do them much good but it sent Silsbee on a 35-6 run. ;)
Whoot, there it is!  8) 8)
 4. I wasn't trying to be a smart butt, I thougt maybe the two guys named Saveat confused you.  But to answer your original question, you're correct.  They both could do better.
 5. Very good explanation.  I understand it perfectly.  Senerios fit the situation.  Just one thing...  Your own teamates will not be laughing at you if you get dunked on...  Well, at least not in THAT game.  Now, the next practice....  That's another story.  You may be the butt of some jokes.  ;D ;D

While I'm thinking about it, if you read the article, He, himself confirmed that we will remeain at Central  I don't trust the words of the excuse master.  I want to hear this from his boss, Mr. Saveat since he will be the one making the decision.
Don't have a dog in this fight, but in my opinion, when it comes to boys basketball coaching in BISD, Central could do better and for that matter, Ozen could do better.  Now, I'll stay home and tend to my own business. 8)
Im talking about Rodney Saveat, the BISD athletic director, not Marquis Seveat, Ozen boys basetball head coach.  Rodney Seveat is the Central's Football Head coach's Boss.
 7. Central vs. Ozen
 8. my point exactly! Lol
 9.
Maybe a dumb question here but isn't this the same coach that brought em 3 rounds deep a few years ago?
Yes.  That team was Donald Stower's leftover talent.  They were bound to be good no matter what.

 11. Here goes the point the blame game once again.  NOW the excuse is the field house wasn't finished.  That's the reason we didn't have spring training and that's why we didn't do good.  West Brook didn't have a field house the entire season and they found a way to hold spring training and make the playoffs.  The excuse for losing to Humble last year in the playoffs was because he was quoted as saying we were 'outmanned'. The reason for the big losses in district was because of the loss of Robert Mitchell. Excuses were even made before the season was made saying it will be hard since we'll be so young, but I don't see that holding our basketball team back that START 3 freshmen.  Just once, I would like to see the blame themselves.  I've attended 90% of these games so I know where the blame should lie.  10 men on defense for 5 minutes in a shutout loss was just the cherry on the cake for me.

Unbelievable...  Well, it is balievable since i did pick the Tigers to win because they were at home.  By the way, is there a final dunk count for this one?
1
I assume that's the key to slowing down the Haws.. Hold them to 1 dunk....  All joking aside, I'm sure the Hawks played an excellent game.  It was just lie what I discussed at the preview show.  When you are riding high like that, you'll encounter one of these games where the other team is not intimidated by you and battle with you.  Silsbee did so and was fortunate enough to hit that buzzer beater.  Fortunate for H-J, they will have a chance to redeim (sp) themselves. Good thing for Silsbee is that knowing they can beat them, it will be another good game looming.
 13. Great win, Dogs.  Somerimes, these are ugly.  Just like a poster said, no one will give you these wins.

 15. Thanks.  We have a task at hand.  We've got to get better for the rematch with Nederland!
 16. Vidor - 2 Central - 16 end of the first period
 17. Interesting turn of events...  Starting linup tonight...  3 freshmen, 1 sophomore, and 1 senior for Central.
