[/quote]In '86, I was a snotty nosed elementary school kid, so you're right.  I didn't see it.  Well, I didn't see it as in my adult eyes.  But I did do research not based off of what the media or someone who is already opinionated. Reye is a friend who I've sat with at games and have talked on the phone before, but he basically gave  you the answer that you wanted to hear.  That was an 'HR appropriate' statement.  As far as being great and ahead, one can perform that task at any school in Southeast texas. Coaches that have came into BISD know the cards they are dealt when they come in.  The West Brook Ex-Coach knew this and now acts as if it is an issue NOW.  Place the blame on the field house when the thing was getting built but was stopped by the same people that are critics of his P.O.E.  SMH

[/quote]Let's see.  You don't take my opinion or comment serious as shown by the rolling eyes.  You then you bring mention that I'm from Central.  To me, that would mean that you are saying that I'm not compentent enought to get any credibility.  Also, it may mean that since I'm a Central guy, us (Central people) as a whole as far as intellect or just flat out common sense are lacking and that you, a Vidorian, is in a great position to pass judgement on a 'Central guy'.  Now, I may be off base here, but Is THIS accurate?  If not, I would like to hear YOUR explaination as I origiinally asked.

Sgt. Reye only gave the political answer.  There is always 2 sides to this.  Schools on the other side of I-10?  Please.  I believe Regina Howell and Amilia were the first to get brand new facilities.  Jeolouse of the West Brook Program?  For what?  Is there a state championship banner from the last 20 years?  No.  The facilities are horrible?  They are that way because the hater electrical contractor get mad and prompted a stop work order.  Central's field  house project almost met the same faith as well.  The only thing I see is that the old WB coach make a bunch of excuses.  Knew they will not be that good for a few years.  His son will be graduating.  Blah, blah, blah.  I still say good riddance.

[/quote] I don't doubt that we were losing talent, but that's no excuse for how bad WB was.  There was SOME talent there. There were tons of good atheletes that chose to play other sports because of the lack of a program he had. Football was a joke in the early 2000s.  Shannon Boatman was a man child, played at FSU.  Quinn Pinson was an absolute stud before he got hurt.  But when he runs it EVERY STINKING TIME, it gets predictable. What Stump can be credited for is changing the culture at that school. He created a disciplined program that expected to win, and great athletes from WB and from Beaumont and general wanted to be a part of it. [/quote]You get more appause for that!
