2.
I wonder how the brackets were made.  All the top state ranked teams were in the top brackets and local schools except for one are in the bottom.
Yes, we got Hightower featuring #23 Mr. House right off the bat.  But hey, you have to play teams like this at one point or another.  This only can make you better, IMO.
 3. It would appear that the really good talent in north Hardin Co. is going to Silsbee and not Kountze these days.  Do you see the trend?  Silsbee basketball have been very good consistantly for a few years now and Kountze...  well, they are kountze, but not 'Hancock', 'Hall', or 'Coffey' good.
 4. I would like to say that #23 for Hightower is the truth!  He displayed a shooting clinic .  He also displayed good decision making out on the perimeter and constanthich resulted in a dunk.  one to the hoopone of which resulted in a dunk.  I see why this kid is one of the top players in Texas. My Jags, My Jags. I was wondering at what point did we realize that all they had for Hightower was #23.  We allhot.  im to get going early with the klong range shot.  We adjusted somewhat, but then forgot how to box out and we refuse to draw up one play to free up our best offensive players.  We need go to plays when we need quick buckets.  We also sucked on free throws as usual and we have yet to find consistant long range shooting, which will spread the floor.  Do we have any shooters?  If we don't, we need to find more ways to get consistancy from the paint.  I sound like a broken record, but when will we get it together?  Hopefully tomorrow when we play tomorrow.
 5. So, H-J is on the second leg of a back to back game with no rest?  Am I missing something?
 6.
Preston Armstrong made tough layup and was fouled made ft
8) 8)
 7. Nothing but the bottom of the net!  (Just for the record...  A game willing three is light years better than an emphatic in game dunk.  )
 8. Wow!  LC-M Hit the last shot.  Was it  a shot?  Layup?  Putback? or a 'Dunk' ( ::) )
i thought you was from Euless Trinty area!!! :o-sfa85
You got jokes.  I pull for the Hood in most cases.  PAM, Central, and Ozen here.  Teams like Yates and Madison and in the DFW, Carter and ET.......
My bad i should have noticed ya SFA jacket, you gotto be from the PA area!!! ;D
'85' is from SFA, but he has ties with Ozen and Central, therefore, follows them as well.  He's ok in my book.  8)

 12. Memorial is in major need of their football boys.  I mean, seriously.

 14.
Dallas SOC can drain the 3's!!! They didn't really impress that much for playing PNG, but maybe it was because they had to play early in the morning. They will get knocked off in this tournament unless they play better then what they did against PNG.
What do you think SOC needs to improve on?
 15. They have a little something...  I'm afraid that West Brook's talent will not be brought to the forfront in this game. Silsbee will be too much for the Bruins.
 16. Ok.  Well, its a good thing it was cancelled then.  Small school.. smh...  ;D

Stand your ground against Nash!! Don't let him bully you. ;)
Not backing down.    ;D ;D Just agreeing to disagree.  He made some good points and so did I.  He and I know that both teams will be fine the rest of the way.
 18.
Ok- we are both entitled to our opinions.  A lot of mine is based upon seeing him perform against Nederland and Central.  Kristian Smith is very athletic as well but it did not impair Prudhommes effort.
I was talking about Kelvin Smith from Nederland last year, not Kristian Smith from  Central.
 19.

I know Prudhomme is a great player and everything, this kid has done amazing things against 3A schools and some 4A but when he played Nederland as a Jr. the kid scored like 4pts. on a tough Nederland team. Locked down by Kelvin Smith(and scored on Prudhomme many times) who aint even playing college ball and didnt even get to play for Lamar!  Prudhomme might have gotten better but  from an inside stand point at Lamar, with Coach Knight here it has gotten harder for local kids to be recruited.  Prudhomme will probably go prove me wrong and just start going off every game, but Im just stating it is harder than u think to play for Lamar.  Best of Luck to Prudhomme on a great senior season and for his future basketball career!
What does his junior season have to do anything.  Why don't you ask coach English how "locked down" he would be if Mr. Smith were guarding him right now?
Nash, you are aware that K. Smith from last year's Nederland team was the district Defensive player of the year, correct?
I am absolutely aware of that and I am suggesting to you that if you could "freeze" Mr. Smith in time from last year and put him on the floor with the Shawn Prudhomme of today, there would be NO lockdown.  Prudhomme is going to get 10 points a game on putbacks and few if any have much to say about that.  Of course, that's just my opinion and if someone really wants a good answer, Coach English could give an educated opinion that might or might not validate my opinion.
I don't know, man.  :) :) .  I know Prudhomme is good, but K. Smith was an animal on the defensive end and IMO, was just as athletic as Prudhomme is this year.
