well, with that logic, West Brook is NOW 3-7 on the season.  Their 3 wins are against PN-G, Nederland, and Silsbee...  I think Silsbee and nederland have had bigger wins Vs This Actually being a bigger win for West  Brook. I do adit that it'll be VERY interesting to see where West Brok goes on the ranking..

Interesting.  I bet West Brook is ready for their rematch with us at their place this time.  The first matchup was at our place and we won.

The 6'7" sophomore is legit for them.  Also, #20 is a flat out gamer.  He has a soft stroke.  Also the tall kid that's 6'10" showed me that he can shoot the 3 ball while running off of screens.  Like I've said in the other thread, this turned into a highlight reel.  All of that could have been prevented if we would have sent the pressure defense in...  I don't know why our staff elects not to do this in these kind of games. 

Congrads to West Brook in an excellent showing  in this  tourney. Central played good in this tourney...  The loss to Memorial will still leave a bad taste in my mouth.  We took down 2 district foes as a preview for things to come when it counts...  8) 8).  I'll be content with a MC sweep in the tourney.  The loss in the Consolation Champion game. No excusses.  Our staff chose not to give any pressure defense whatsoever and the other team turned it into a highlight real on us.  It never dawned to our staff that Silsbee beat this team in the first round by pressure defense...    But whatever...  Time to focus on getting everyone healthlthy for the start of district vs. Ozen...  Great tourney, Nederland.  This is my first time going to the Bulldog classic and I'll be making the event from now on...

Jags, not telling you to stop going on the inside... But.. Uhhh... Stop going to the inside!  The 6'10" kid have blocked the last 3 attempts down low!

If I'm not mistaken, didn't silsbee lose to that SAME West Brook team?  No shame in it.  Nederland may have very well been OUTPLAYED.  So to say they got Lucky in the YMBL Tourney is a ridiculouse of a statemebt that's I've heard all day.

[/quote]Not just those 2 matchups..Also, the PN-G/Sterling and the winner of that other first round game (i forgot the teams) could have played 4 games to the championship.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm willing to bet that all contestants in the H-J tourney are playing those same 5 games.  I'm willing to bet there was a bracket setup that would have allowed all teams the same number of games.

Yep...  The Viliage and West Brook.  Not to take the meaning out of this game, but West Brook and The Villiage...  Were they not the 2 teams that got first day byes?  3 games to the championship instead of 4 games I 3 days for every other team in this tourney.  They'll need to fixt this in next year's event.

I know one thing. After watching the PN-G / Central game, Cetral have GOT to put together a full 32 minutes, especially with Big Ned looming... There is NO WAY you don't put PN_G away early. Get it together for tomorrow Jags..  And staff..

It is real Basketball. As a team, you have to divise a defensive game plan to be able to go and get them when they pay keep away. Either that, or send them to the free throw line and force them to miss. There are several ways to stop a team from doing this.

Coach Boutte rode that game plan all the way to state with Ozen quite a few times!
