Yes, Gulley  have been putting up great numbers since he's been there.  Yes, he, IMO, was one of the best scorers to come though Central.  Pretty good to say the least especially since he wasn't the most athletic kid you've seen.  He found a way to put the ball in the basket.

Panamamyers (sp) had a post that is on 'Dayton's' sigature that I think hands down takes the cake.  Something about a player trying a baseball slide tackle on another player on the first play from scrimmage.

Can someone please keep this updated?  I probably will be missing the Memorial/Central matchup.  Thanks in advance.

[/quote]Very questionable game was the Memorial/Central game Turesday night.  Questionable officiating and the two ladies that ran the scoreboard shaved a few points off the board that the officials never corrected even though she was heckled by 'us' and even made aware of this by our coach. 

This has nothing to do with winning or losing.  So in other words, has nothing to do with the players.

AAW, i was talking about the Village team with the big man.  I question if his teammates are any good.

There may be a few things to work on, but a 20+ win is nothing but positive.  From what I hear, LC-M had it clogged inthe middle, but you have players like the young gun Bosha and other players that can hit it from downtown.  Prudhomme also seems to have a nice midrange game.  and from what I gather, you pressure D gave the Bears fits, as it will with a lot of teams you face this year.  Realize that you won't always beat medeocre or bad teams by30 or 40+.  Take these wins, get better, and get ready for a deep playoff push, as I pretty much expect...

I saw the video clip of him last year and th is year.  He does have a lot of upside.  However, I question the playing ability of the rest of his teamates.  what is this team's record up to this point anyway?

Started the game off in control.  At that point, Coach Williams from Memorial called plays that got #1 for Memorial open for a lot of catch and shoot 'Reggie Miller' type off screen 3's.  he brought them back in the game and Memorial actually built a 10 point lead.  We made adjustments to fight back but the little point guard shot a 3 from 2 feet behind the 3 point line.  With 10 seconds left, Kriston Smith, instead of taking it to the cup, elected to shoot an nba range 3 of his own that went short.  In Overtime, there were several defensive stands.  There wasn't a lot of points scored.  We then went to stall and relied on a 3 from one of out underclassmen bench players (the kid with the Scottie Pippin afro, don't know his name yet.  lol).  He drained the 3 with time running out to escape with this one.  What this game did show me was that we do have other good 'shooters' on this team.  We have kids that have a really nice midrange game that should be utilized when district rolls around. I've also seen that #24, the 6'6" freshman post player can shoot the 3 ball as well.  I like the way it's comming along.  Can't wait to see them mix it up at the Nederland tournament starting with the rematch with Memorial.  Let's get it, Jags!

This has nothing to do with the 'school board' or 'higher ups' like some of you are trying to imply.  This have to do with a few punk kids that got caught doing stupid stuff.  They were dismissed and taken care of accordingly.  They have been weeded out and the team have won their ensuing game.  So, obviously, the Ozen basketball team (the good ones left) will be fine and have moved forward.

I'm assuming that the 4 players that were dissmissed fromt he team are significant players...  either that or the players still are down after the YMBL. 

Central - 54 Memorial - 51 Overtime-Final Memorial hit a 3 to send it to ot...  We hit a 3 to win the game in ot.
