1. I thought he was pretty good on the block last year complimenting Nederland's senior bigs.  I agree.  The kid is 6'4" ish with size.  He should remain on the block untill he proves he can consistantanly be a threat to hit the mid range jumper or the 3 ball.
2.
I don't know where you get your stats but Angleton had the third best defense in the district and led the district with 35 forced turnovers on the season. Vidor better be ready to try and tackle a track team because that's what they're facing and I doubt they have 4.3-4.5 40 yard dash guys on that team.  Speed kills and Vidor is about to be flatlining!  And don't bring up Ozen,  they're only fast based on east Texas standards.
I knew it would be a matter of time untill someone brings up the speed thing.  Speed does not intimidate this Pirate team.  They've seen it plenty of times this year, and not just from Ozen (although Ozen does have a kid with a legitimate 4.3 time and is an overall fast team).  You can throw this out the window.  Vidor tackles well in space.  They close in fast, and their speed is deceptive.  it will come down to if you can stop them on defense.  As said before, your defensive stats for the year are not good at all.  In order to beat Vidor, you will need to have success stoping them early on  in downs and hope your defense have the stamina to discipline to make big stops.  The pressure here is on Angleton.  this is the farthest this Vidor team have ever gone, and I believe that Vidor will be the best team overall that you've faced.  YOU will have your work cut out for you.
3. I've seen H-F last week vs. my team.  They need better ball handlers.  The guards that they have can't handle the press.  They have some athletes that can go.  I would assume they need good shooters to be able to stretch the floor as well.  But, IMO, they will be right in the thick of things in their district.
4. I believe it goes without saying that the team that's hosting the event gets the play the last game or in some cases, at the best time (not too late and not too early).
5. This have to be a good team.  I know that our defending district champions have lost a lot to graduation with 2 6'5" players in Forney and Smith, but I did expect a more difficult struggle.  to come in and beat the defending champs by 20+ says a lot.  I know it's early in the season, but still.  We beat H-J last year and those young guns Prudohm (sp) and Bosh were a scrappy bunch.  With an extra year under their belt and the experience with that deep playoff run, I would imagin that sky is the limit for this team.  I want to see their size.  I guess I'll see that first hand Friday.
6. Congrads on the win, H-J.  I'm glad i'll get to see you first hand vs my Jags Friday.  8)
7. Ok.  My bad.  Step forward, Women and Men (noticed what I put first).
8. This Angleton team can go.  But this Vidor team always seem to be 'stuborn' and keep winning when they are picked against every week.  They always 'rebelliously' rise to the challenge and their 'Lack of' quit in them helps them win these tough games.  Vidor is like an old chuck wagon (with a v8 engine).  It's looks like an old beat up transportation source, but they can go and hang with the best of them.  If it's not broke, don't fix it.  Vidor gets it by 10 points. Sail on, Pirates.  Sail on.
Honest question...do you think LP's d will be the best on the field Saturday? Why or Why not?
If they come in and not buy into all the hype of playing this mighty Katy team, LaPorte's D can and will do what they've been to opposing offenses all year.  So the answer is yes, from a talent standpoint.
10. OMG.  I know i'm late on this but this big laugh just made my day.  lol
Blue is rooting for NS I have always pull for the BS Wildcats.
I guess.  I think you jumped ship the year that BS sucked and stated that you lived by North Shore or had a relative  that coached there so you were rooting for NS.  Either way, when do you think that BS will want to play one of the BISD's crappy schools?
14. H-J by 10 If Nederland's athletes were not playing football...  H-J by 6.

Souja your not real bright.... Good win ozen was impressed with your team.
OMFG = ohh my freakin God.  Looks like you're reaching.  Maybe you need to quit reading so much into what I say.  Read the content for what it is.  A Congradulation to Ozen.  Geeesh!

18. I say let them do it.  They are excited for this team.  They're good.  Real good.  They're playing for Matt Thomas.  This team have changed people's opinion in the community.  They believe this team is good enough to compete with anyone..  Me personally, I wouldn't post that many threads, but the Vidorians are excited.  Let them show it, I say, for whatever that's worth.
19. You guys my be right on it.  Due to the face that Vidor's QB plays both sides of the ball and both sides of the ball, he starts and is the leader may push him over the top. This kid is a player.  And to think that the district will have to see him again next year is scary.
