Ball is in his hands for every crucial play
What else does Central have? Did they lose much to graduation? I remember they were quick last year, but don't remember any 'Bigs'. I know their JV team was good last year too. K. Smith has been talked about, wondering what other talent they have? Obviously he can't do it all himself. Anyone have a roster or an idea who will start for them? Maybe some names, position, height?
That was my question.  When I talked to AAW, that is what I asked.  I have not seen the Basketball boys this summer, but he have.  he states that he have ok size.
AAW? Basketball?  ;D :-X
LOL! ;D ;D
 2.
I've seen your team. OOPS Central seemed to play better after Central Coach ?? brought up some players from JV (Souljah correct me if I'm mis-stating). I do expect those same players to continue to improve as I'm sure Nederland will. It will be a fun season to watch.
You are looking waaaay too deep into this one, Dove. The topic is Central Jaguar Basketball, right? There has been talk about Kristian Smith and that's it, so I did a bit of research-not that hard to do-and provided some names. The reason you do not have to look up anyone from 'my team' is because 5on5, dogs1218, #1 manager, EZDAWG, and myself have provided you (and others) with players names, etc. from 'my team' for the past 5-6 months. I'm trying to stay on topic here, and I don't see what is wrong with that! Anyway, this Central Jaguar team was up and down last year. They lost to WB early by a lot, then a few weeks later, they returned the favor. Ozen beat them in the 1st game of district, then Central beat them at home. Central also lost two district games to Nederland, and one more to LCM. Signs of a young team with their inconsistency. I see this team finishing anywhere from 1st-3rd in district and winning two playoff games (depending on their bracket).

Yes, that's correct.  They brought Robert Mitchell up and his first game in scored 20+ points as a post player.  There was another player that was brought up with Mitchell.  I believe it was his little Brother, Garrison Mitchell.  If this is the case, this kid played as a freshmen as he is a sophmore this year.

Central got some some top area Freshmen to enroll this year. Will be competitive for years to come. Nederland? I've seen your JV. Hopefully those 8th graders will help yall out in a couple of years. ;)
Really...  Interesting.  Can't wait to check this kid out.

Smith, and I'm not 'nervous' about ONE player unless his initials are MJ! Other players from last year's team are: Robert Mitchell (Junior) Malec Fruge Joseph Allen (graduated) Craig Ferguson Cody Bertrand Markel Frelow (graduated) Dorasheo Thorton

By the way Central play, they will go as far as K.Smith takes them.. The pressure is getting to him :D

Fruge, Allen, and Ferguson are all gone (graduated).  Frelow have not graduated.  He'll be coming in as a Senior along with Smith.
It was actually 2004 and Galena Park came in w/ an identical record as the 2011 BH Eagles.. I could be mistaken but, but I do have one question BH Fans, what type of offense does Crosby run?  ;) ;)
Ok.  I was a year off.  My bad.  Well, I've just found out that BH lost to Crosby, so they are 9-1.  The 2004 Galena Park team was 10-0 heading into the playoffs.
 7. (sigh) My Jags let me down over a bet I made this summer.  I have to wear this for a year.  lol

 9. Most West Brook fans don't like their chances in this one.  This is why there is little chatter. Making the playoffs is a good thing.  they should make the most of it.  West Brook can beat Deer Park with the talent that they have.  LaPorte was a good team that beat Memorial and North Shore.  Don't let that take the wind out of  your sails.
 10. I dont' know.  It's hard to judge his height.  Maybe he's grown.  I thought he was 6' or 6'1" ish.

Ball is in his hands for every crucial play
True.  Very true.  I'm anxious to see in what areas Smith have improved on.  We all know he can hit to 3 ball and he's a high flyer finishing above the rim.  I want to know about that midrange game and defense.
I have a question. If he's playing football, I wonder if he has had the time to really work on his game and improve?
Well, It's bee a few weeks since I've seen him.  I'm thinking he probably quit after he realized that we were not going to the playoffs vs. Vidor, which was 2 weeks ago.  If this is the case, he should have had ample time to practice and get ready for the season.
Soulja1, has he gotten any interest from any colleges or JUCO's as far as you know?
I'm sure he have.  I can't confirm it either.  I don't see why not.  He  has good speed, good height for a guard (6'1") explosive at the rim.  what may hold him back is his dribbles.  He tends to go back to the right hand, but he finishes with either hand.

 14. Great show of support from the people across town from the Pear Orchard.  At the same time, this is the norm these days.  When you're team is not playing, you should be rooting someone from the area on.  I wish I would have been there.  I would have rooted them on in my Maroon and Gray attire.

 18.
Ozen is a bit of a jeckyl and Hyde team, but make no mistake, they are very dangerous offensively...best offensive team Nederland faced by far...they seem to be figuring things out at the right time...this could be an upset...If BH can control the clock and keep that offense off of the field, they will win...if not, big trouble...I will take the upset special and go Ozen 35, BH 28
i love that description of them.  Dr.Jeckyl/ Mr  Hyde.  Their either really good or relly bad. At the same time, when theyre playing bad, at the drop of a hat, they are back to playing really good football.
 19. wooa, wait a minute now!  You mean to tell me that the ant mound was beat by Crosby?  Were starters rested?
 20. Cha Ching!  Your playoff ticket have been punched. Congrads! You're in there!  Now go an punch the Ant Mound's lights out!
 21. Thump thump thump...  Wow, very creative.  Different Beaumont team, different year, same result. You can continue to take our warnings as a grain of salt.  8)
 22. Bears are omnivorous for most of the year.  As the climate gets colder headed toward winter and to save up enoug fat for the winter, they turn to red meat.  That means DEAR is on the menu.  Use their antlers as a toothpic.
 23. 2006...  Beaumont Central.  Very athletic team featuring athletes Brandon Williams, Derrick Hall, and a 1,000 yard back that made the playoffs as a lower seed (3rd seesed team) vs. 2006 Barbers Hill.  Sporting a pretty undefeated record and district champs. result. An 'L' for the Hill. This year? 2011 Ozen team.  Most Athletic team  in the district featuring David Green, Jakobi Jones, Nelson, and Michael.  Lower seeded team, barely made the playoffs. vs. The Ant Mound undefeated record, District champs. (do you see the common denominator?)  Well, the same arrogant BH fans have emerged once again.  And again, most of 20-4a fans (including fans of the 20-4a Kings) tried to give a fair warning. Hmmmm.  Well, let the Barbers Hill fans tell you wrong, just like in 2006.
