Also mix the starters with 2nd and 3rd teamers to keep some continuity
This would be the logical think for Big Ned to do in this situation, IMO.
 2. Ozen rooting for PN-G...  Funny stuff there!
 3. I meant that Ozen did progressively get better while we became worse.  Ozen took down Livingston and put up the highest point total on your 20 4a Kings.  At this point, Ozen is light yeats better than us.  They have a great player in Green and arguably the best RB in district in Jones.
 4. Outanup, I saw it on the previews.  Yall go and give the rest of the state heck! BD, Now, I know you're making some playoff games, man!
 5.

Ozen 41-14
Yes Ozen did almost beat Nederland the other night an they are in the hunt for the playoffs, but Lumberton was also picked to lose agaisnt Central and they beat them 27 to 0. It'll be a hard fought game just like every other game lumberton has played, and you can bet that they will be workin their butts off this comin up week in practice preparin for a win on Saturday afternoon
The Central win has absolutely nothing to do with this matchup.  Two teams headed in different dirrections.  Ozen is light years better than Central. Ozen will win 28-7.
 6. Congrads to the 2011 Kings of 20-4a.  You did it the way a good team, does.  Great defense, great coaching, and old school field position football.  Go and make us proud and make some noice.  This is a Nederland team that is built for playoff football.  Hopefully, I'll be catching a few local playoff games.  Best of luck from Jaguar Country.

These are kids that learned only under him!
Good point, Also i dont know but i dont think stowers wanted to leave. I think he left becaues of some situations going on with the school administration..Now idk how true that is but its been going around central since he left, and I for one hated to see him go, we had some of our best teams under him, and his defensive schemes where pin point accurate evey game.. Washington was not a bad coach by the way even though that was stowers coached kids the 1st 2seasons he still won district and went 2+ rounds in the playoffs in his first 2yrs..so give him credit
Well I was good friends with one of Stowers former assistants who lived right next door to him.  What you stated was the truth.  Lambert was new to the school and had to be in total control of everything.  Stowers has a no back down and no kissing your a** attitude which was great for handling those boys who needed that kind of structure and guidance but she didn't like it.  There was a lot of friction so he used his playoff runs to get the Little Elm job which he has turned from a door mat to a playoff team. Suggested and Stowers were 2 that I thought were good that got away. Like I've been saying, my Jaguars don't need coaches that are buddy buddy with them and want to be cool.  The need military style,  hard nosed,  take no sh**, structured,  I'm the boss coaches.  Those kids shouldn't and wouldn't have just quite once they were eliminated from the playoffs.

All All I have to say is this pretty much solidified that a COMPLETE housecleaning will be in order before next year.  When I seen us get Embarrassed against Vidor, I knew that it was a done deal, which is why I could no longer stomach another Central game this year.
There will be some housecleaning after this season is over!
I'm gonna go fill out an application!!! ;D
Ok.  Let me be on the staff.  8) 8)
 8. Not only a COMPLETE house cleaning, our skill position players (WR and QB's) need to be sent to a camp of somw sort.  It makes no sense that players can be great one year and a year older and a year more experience leads to more horrible results.  IMO, we will need someone from here, so that when they win and do good, they won't use us for a springboard for another job.  The only negative of hiring someone local or in house, you probably are going to keep the ol' buddy buddy with the kids situation and that hardheaded ol' school mentality.  You know, if it don't work, we'll keep trying it until it works instead of trying something else. You say keep the HC?  I say not.  He went on an interview last year after the Humble playoff loss and didn't blame his incompentent coaching for giving up 24 unanswered points after being up 14-0, but blamed the kids and said that 'we were "outmanned"'.  I remember the year before after the Friendswood loose after getting outcoached in every single way possible, he was in the newspaper smiling and grinning while there are kids collapsed in tears.  All in all, as I've said before, I can understand competitive losses or a competitive losing season. But a lossing season with multiple shutouts and the look of give up on both the staff and our kids are unacceptable. Last time it happened was in 2004 .  The year after that, Stowers came in and won an outright district title.  I look for something along these lines to happen.
 9. one thing for sure... The game will begin at 7:30.  It will end at 8:45.  ;D ;D Honestly, Livingston -28 Vidor - 35 Only because Vidor's Punter actually plays another position on the football field.  ;D

If you face PN-G, You'll lose by 2 scores.  Then the ant mound will disapear into the cold winter...
soulja i really respect you opinions on football...tell me what you thought about the PNG team last night and whats your thoughts on their playoff run this year?
Thanks. Check the PN-G/Vidor thread.
 11. I was in attendance and this games was a great one.  Started off with PN-G looking as if they were going to run away with this early.  This was highligted by 2 plays both made by PN-G. One was the pass breakup by by the PN-G defender as he closed in on the ball to bat the pass down from the Vidor receiver which was a for sure TD.  Somebody please tell me this kid's name.  The other is the catch on double coverage by #4 from PN-G.  He made the Vidor Defenders look ridiculous.  He then almost got away from their Tackle as well!  This kid is a talent.  Second half, PN-G still had some success, but it seem that the playcalling started becoming suspect, along with stupid penalties.  This eas capped off when the play was dead and the ref walked by the PN-G d-linemen and threw a flag...  I don't know what it was for, but it did keep the Vidor drive alive.  PN-G got away from the passing game and went to the run. Vidor came alive in the 4th , just like bandkid said' by canging QB's and moved the ball through the air.  Their defense came alive as well. Vidor had a chance to win the game in the end.  It was unfortunate that their comeback fell short. Both teams left it on the field and from what I've seen, Neither team will not lose in the first round of the playoffs.  Thanks for the PN-G nation and Biaplayer for showing this lone Jag some love.
 12. This really shouldn't be a thread.  PN-G could just show up and go through the motions and beat us.  We have no pride.  The coaches are content with were we are, and it have been passed down to the kids.  I knew that we were not a good football team, but not 3 district shutout 'not good'. If this is a point in Central football history where we cannot score on an 0-8 Lumberton team, then we truly are pathetic.  PN-G - 42 Central - 7 Faircloth is a classy man and will not run the score higher than it needs to be and will allow us to get a 'vanity' late TD.  THIS is the state of Central football.

Weisbrod started a few games last year, and English started about 10-12 games. Another good match up will be the Monday before Thanksgiving at HJ.
Ok.  That answered my question about English.  I  already know that Weisbrod will be a force.
I honestly believe that Weisbrod is likely to be the best post player in the area this year, regardless of classification
;D  Here you go with that.  Maybe so.  I don't think there will be many good post players in the district this year.  It may be ran by guards.  He may be the best by default, and that's no disrespect to this young man.

Really though, Central, Nederland, and Ozen are the best teams in the district. Cant argue any other way unless you dont know enough about them to properly judge. Central is the favorite because they have the best player. Nederland will surprise alot of people expecting a down year losing all those seniors, lots of talent there. Ozen has young players too, and will be even better if Green can become the player he was before the injury, that's a tough thing to come back from in basketball.. Very competitive district race this year
Very good analysis!  applause from me.  I want to add that Green is a tough customer and will be the same player as before, IMO.  also, Central will be good as well as Mitchell was playing very good last year.  Nederland probaly have the best coaching in district.  And even though those seniors from last year are gone, English will have his young team in the mix.
