It's the SETXsports.com Big School Game of the Week for crying out loud!!! ;D Like I told you last night Soulja, you got to go to a game where some of the football players take off their pads and pick up their horns to march with the band at halftime. That's small school for ya!! ;)
Well, IMO, small school is 4a and smaller.  ;D ;D Yes, when the coach drives the school bus to the games, works at the ticket booth, and is the band director at halftime.  Ok.  I gocha!
But see, Soulja, it is not your standards that govern, IT IS MY STANDARDS!
With all due respect, Barbers Hill is a middle of the road team at best.  Beating Lumberton this year is no great feat.  Haven't gotten to see Big Ned play yet, but I don't thimk they are bringing the pain this year either.  Get you some of the boys from Central and tell me what you think.  BH can make the playoffs, but they are not the best team in any district...theirs or 20-4a.
Ask them what happened the last time they faced the Jaguars from Beaumont.
Jags won by 3 points and we were on the 20 yard line when our ex coach decided to go for an endzone shot over a field goal ;D Also beating a predicted last place team(Galveston Ball) in there district by 17 isn't much to brag about. If we are middle of the road then you guys are sharing the center lane with us ;D
How do you know how that district will finish?  Those guys have not played one district game yet.  Besides, there were several TD's left on the field by Central Last friday night Vs. By the way the site poll has BH at 7 and Central at 14  ;D
So what?  What does that mean?  When we played, The Ant Mound was undefeated district champs and lost to a 3rd place Jag team in the playoffs.  Just food for thought. 8) 8)
It means that through the collective minds off the smartest moderators in southeast Texas the conclusion is that Central is half as good as BH ;D ;D 8) You know you voted for us just admit it ;D
I actually did pick yall higher than my Jags, and deserving of it.  Y'all are playing lights out.  I can't hate on that.  My Jags have been playing sub-par.  It's about how you finish.  Just watch us around season's end.  We'll be in the upper tier of the polls!  8)
Much respect to you for giving BH a little credit ;D They are playing pretty good, if we can just limit our mistakes we can make an impact on the playoffs this year. impact = getting the heck out of round 1 ;D
Yea, I know that first round have been brutal for you guys as of lately.

 5.
Ok seriously.. in order for it to be a high scoring game Central will need to be able to pass. They couldnt get a passing game going against Brook and we all saw they couldnt pass against Memorial and they were behind the entire game. If Green goes out throwing the deep ball like he proved he can do last yr. and like you said he should be even better this yr., Central will have to pass in order to order to keep it close. Question for all, would Ozens' first two games have been a little different if Green would have played, I mean West Brook was shut down for the last 3 quarters, could Green have made a difference?
Green's numbers will be great, no doubt, but factor this in.  Since the Memorial game, Jag's running game have been very effective.  We dominated West Brook in the trenches and moved the ball effective on the ground.  So, you will have to stop us as well.  Collier, Carter, and Mitchell can go at any point.  I feel good about our pass defense.  We've gotten light years better since week 0.  I hope we can play solid next week.  I do wish Ozen the best of luck after the Soul Bowl.  I hope they make the playoffs.
 6.
You have all of last year too know what Green is capale of duh!!! Oh and just look at the what the enterprise had to say about last weekenn 66-6. 4 T.D.'s ENOUGH said
Can't base it off of last year.  This year, there are probably different plays ran.  Ozen probably have different tendencies.  And most importantly, Green is probably a whole lot better than he was last year.  Same as Mitchell.  He's a year more advanced.  This could be interesting.  I still say we win by a score in a high scoring one.

 10. It's going to be hard to gage.  The film that we probably have is with Green not in the linup, while Ozen's footage will have all of our players.

They are 0-3 and coming off a 1-8 season from last year.
He's talking about 5a Memorial and 5a West Brook win week 0 and 1 respectively.

 19. That's just what we expect.  When district rolls around and we do 'what we do' you'll see.  We'll do that with 'no hype' or with little or no good showings on the polls.  Don't you know we thrive off of being overlooked?

 22. I was actually waiting untill next week to post on this matter since we all have bye weeks, but since you guys have brought it up, here we go: First of all, the name of the thread should be Central vs. Ozen (since Ozen is the Home team this time, for whatever that's worth).  This could be a classic Soul Bowl matchup here.  Ozen gets their kid dynamite back in Green with other players that should be healthy.  Central have proved that their running attack have picked up with the 2 headed RB combo of Collier/Carter showing promise to take the pressure off of Mitchell.  Ozen will try to attack our young secondary early and often.  Central will try and get their passing attack going as they are due for a breakout game in the air.I think the ex factor will be line play.  Central's D and O lines have clearly dominated the opposition since the memorial game, and I expect them to do the same in this game.  it will be a shootout. Central - 41 Ozen - 37
