Oh yea, they were undefeated.  Thats what happens when you play a soft non-district schedule and your district is weak.  You'll were not battle tested.  We didn't even win our district that year. 7. On the flat plains of Texas, with no trees to be seen, Bulldogs take a wiz on rising Ant Mound. Newton Eagles Soar again! Lions roar again.  The soundwaves alone turnes the War Eagles into the Peacful Canarys Obviously, these were some ill-prepared Rangers as they were unable to rustle up the Wildcats Jags get the 'Ball' rolling finally as the 'Tors' gets TORn appart. Broncos stumble and fall while a pack of wildcats pounce for the kill. Pirates unable to make Kirbyville walk the plank because they are already dead. Texas City pulls an exact replication of 'Steve Irwin' on the Indians
 8.
5 straight then a two game win streak to go into the playoffs
Hmmm.  that  means your saying we'll beat Ball and Ozen, then lose to Livingston, and then turn the tables to beat LC-M, Nederland, Vidor, Lumberton, and PN-G.  Also interesting!  8) 8)
I highly doubt that Central wins 8 straight.  IMO, that district is too competitive for that to happen.
Why is that? We wone 7 straight last year to get 'crowned as the Kings of 20-4a. I can happen, but it won't be easy..  I can assure you that!
I never said it wasn't possible.  It's just not likely...
Hmmm..  Interesting.  If a team gets hot, you never can tell.  Last year's PN-G team got hot when it counted.  Teams get hot and get on a streak all the time.

 11. The winner will be how many teams our district sends to the 2nd round of the playoffs.  That's a place that we (20-4a) is very accustomed to.  ;D
 12.
Its all speculation.  It's clear cut that Dayton is at the top followed by Barbers Hill and Crosby in no particular order.  Has been that way for a while in 19.  Everyone is stating that PN-G, Nederland and Livingston are the top teams in 20.  Despite an 0-2 start just like last year,  Central is still the kings of 20 and will be till dethroned.  I don't have all the stats in front of me but besides when Dayton was in our district, Central hasn't loss to a 19 team in the playoffs in a good while.  We don't play you'll in non-district cause we are usually playing the big boys.  We will see the weekend of November 11 and 12...
So true about everything you have said.  And for the record, we have NEVER lost to a 19-4a team. Over there, Dayton is the cream of the crop untill proven otherwise.  After that, you have 2 medeocre teams and the rest of them would get ran off the field by ANY of the 20-4a teams.
 13.
Great game Titans; now its on to the next one. Im gonna have to refrain from the trash talk this year. The Titans have to prove they can beat the top tier teams in 21- 5A . I have faith they can but history is like a hovering dark cloud at this point. This team seems to be a very special group and expectations are high. The kids are focused and KRH seems to have their trust. Im hoping that they dont start believing their own press and get complacent. One game at a time. WB game is circled on the schedule but its circled cuz they have been able to have their way with the Titans. A certain level of respect has to be there for WB. That game has been a statement game for both teams and the Titans have come up short. Jaw jacking with their fans only makes us look stupid, so I say Good luck WB may the best team win. Go Titans!!!!
Great post, big D.  Karma for you.
 14. ::) ::) @ this thread popping up after only 2 games in the books.
 15. I would sing the Mighty Migty Titans song, but I'm still sour from last week and not to thrilled that you spanked Ozen like that.  Beaumont love, man...  Beaumont love...  ;D ;D ;D

Smith #4 at all.  Did he play or even suit out?
I really don't know Soulja.  Seems like we have a bigger team.
Size of players or amount of players?  If you mean amount of players, I saw it too.  I counted about 53 players..  Vs the 49 that I counted in the LaMarque scrimmage.
 17.
Soulja, your post regarding the game was dead on. :) You have a great way of putting things into perspective without stepping on peoples toes. I couldn't have said it better, myself. Very well said.
i just call it like I see it.  8) 8)  Thanks.

I think our play calling was suspect in the 4th quarter when we were down 2 scores with time ticking away.  All in all, I left this game feeling that we will do fine in district.  We stayed healthy, and we did get light years better from last week.  I look forward to seeing us improve a lot more in our game vs. Ball next week. West Brook will need to get a lot better if they want to compete with the LaPortes, Memorials, and the North Shores.  Lil Stump will need to present himself as more of a passing threat to take the pressure off the run game.  They are one dementional.  I look for them to find more ways to get Malone more involved in the offense.  Defensively, Brook at one point or another will need to blitz on big downs.  (ive been saying this for years now).  There are still a lot of games left as Brook seems to get it together right when it matters...  In district.  They will have some growing pains in that Katy game.  I think they'll be fine overall.  ps.
The Carter/Collier tandem have the potential to be a 2009 O'Neal/Daw similar combo.  If our lines can continue to block like they did last night, I think we'll be fine.
