Offensive line is huge. QB Pounds can throw the pill. Play action is well executed after they pound it up the middle. Defense flies to the football. Give em some credit HUM398. I know your boys in Humble have had it rough couple of games, actually shocking to me! K Park aint terrible Dawg. Channelview is going to upset some folk in that district. Aint no pushover!
Their terrible.  I could go into why that exactly is, but no one really cares.  all im going to  say is, that if they can't generate a passing game...They will no make the playoffs.    Summer Creek, Huntsville, and Kpark are going to be fighting for 3rd and 4th place. To say we have a had a rough couple games (Humble) is an understatement.  But i am confident that the mistake prone offense wills settle down in time for the meat of the schedule.  Humble has lost their two games because we can't seem to avoid putting the rock on the turf, or making silly mental errors....But like i said before the season started, this is a very green offense, a lot of Offensive linemen that didn't play last year...a QB that was playing WR....and a RB who only saw mop up duty.  It will take them a while to gel, but when it happens they are going to be dangerous.  Teams can't generally win or even stay in games close with an average of 6 fumbles a game, and averaging around 7-8 total turnovers a game.  But we have lost to two worthy 5a opponents, and ultimately could of won either of them.  Humble eliminates the offensive mistakes, and we will roll through district.  We have three tune-up games before going into Huntsville.  i imagine we will get it all worked out by week 7
IF you watched them play the first game of the season, they did not have Pounds at QB. He can throw the pill and most of the pass plays are on PA. K Park sets up the pass with the run. I loved watching them play and impressed. HUM you are absolutely correct, IFFFFFFFFF you eliminate mistakes. IMO thats discipline and covering up the dang football. If it's a problem now, not sure they wake up in the morning and fumble-itis fixes itself. Man you supposed to be on the 5A forum. Whatcha doing over here? lol
Why is that? Humble is playing 4a ball, not 5a.
 2.
While I wasn't at this game, I was getting text updates from both WB fans, and Katy fans. The outcome of this game should come as no surprise. This just confirms that WB is just not ready to compete with the elite of 5A. I will stay supportive of my Bruins the rest of the way, but we're gonna have to address the run defense, or lack of it, if we're gonna do anything in the playoffs. We were exposed by a good O-line and 2 average RB's tonight. "That dog wont hunt", in the playoffs.Katy and WB, were both, who we thought they were. Let's pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off, and get ready to take on Tyler Lee next week.
Great post!  8)
 3. I've been saying stuff about Channelview sine thw week they beat Humble on the Tuesday Preview show.  They will shake some things up in that district for sure. One of the 'expected' teams will be missing the playoffs this year.
 4. 1) Dayton @ Barbers Hill 2) Central vs. Ozen 3) PN-G @ Livingston
 5. I predicted a 49-14  score...
 6. People that sit by me and there is an incomplete pass.  They ask, "why did he drop that catch?  What was he thinking?". I want to say," I don't know.  Be quiet and let me attempt to read his mind...  Mmmm....  Nothing....  Just like the inside of your skull".
 7. Long run by Huntsville...  TD Hornets.  FG good.  22-7 Lions.  Second Quarter.
 8. Another long TD pass by Collins on first play of possession after a Hornet fumble.  This one may be over early...  I guess it's safe to say that the Lions will be passing a lot more this year, making them extra deadly.
 9. Wide open man for TD!  The route is on.  15-0 Lions in the second quarter.

 11. That long run by Collins hurt.  You were going toe to toe with Livingston for a while.  That may be the momentum there.
 12. They lost to West Brook in overtime last week.
 13. Ok, Tenative schedule for Kountze @ W. Hardin.

C'mon, make the effort.
Newton is 2a.  and Silsbee is...  well, it's 'small'....  with a big stadium.  ;D
But you do know it's the SETXsports.com BIG School Game of the Week? ::)
I know that.  So if I go to this game, it'll be on record that I have truely NOT attended a Small School game, right?
Big Ford, do you think that Carter and Collier have the capability to be as good or better than the O'Neal/Daw tandem from 2009?
I don't see them at that level yet.  But we have a better QB in the backfield now then when O'Neal and Daw where in the backfield for a better 1-2-3 punch!
I like that!  1-2-3 punch...

 20. Lumberton is not playing bad ball.  This may be Lumberton's game to take.  I think LC-M prevails thought.  Bears - 23 L-Train - 21

 22. You see, the Mrs. figured out that Central is off this week, so I'm in the works now to try and wiggle away for some small school action.  Lets see how that goes.  lol
