Thanks for clearing this up  8)
Good deal as for Jacko still being a Wildcat.  As for you Jaguar Lover ( Mr. Buddy Garrity as you call yourself) be thankful that we are not getting one of those country boys to lay the wood to your pretty boys from PA... 8)
:D :D
 5.
That's sad about the coach passing. I know my lens couldn't take it the first day. It stopped working halfway thru the second practice. I have been taking pictures for years and I have never seen that happen. I took it home and put it in front of a fan, it works fine now, but it didn't like the heat.
Your camera said forget that, HELP ME!
 6. You're right.  It is an opinion.  No matter what, that kid will only get better being that he is only a Sophmore getting valuable playing time as a Freshmen, pretty much how much better Smith got being a 4 year starter.
 7. It's a possibility.  Isn't that kid a baseball kid?  You never know if he will ever persue basketball fully so that he can reach his potential.  Saying that he will be better than Smith is right now may be a bit jumping the gun a little bit.
 8. 2008 Central vs. Barbers Hill first round of playoffs 2011 & 2010 Central Vs. Ozen (forgot what year) Kountze (Ashton Hall and company) vs. Houston Milby.  (forgot what year) H-J (Donahoe and co. ) vs. Houston Yates 2003 (i believe) Ozen (K. Perkins  and co. ) Vs. Dallas Lincoln (Chris Bosh and co.)

 10. I will have to watch a few games this year to make an accurate ranking but I Know these kids will be in the top 5 in no particular order. David Green III Ozen Sr. Swing Man Kriston Smith Central Sr. Guard Shawn Prudhomme  Hardin-Jeff Sr. Post(?) Colton Weisbrod Nederland Sophomore Post
 11.
If Hussey , Hanna , and Beard come back.....they just might make the playoffs  ;D
;D ;D
 12. I remember there was a rivalry like that in Beaumont when I was a kid (before Ozen).  When Central and West Brook plays at the old LU Stadium (which seated 17K +) there was standing room only with a bunch of screaming fans.  Even the area around the Montagne center and the hill area was packed.  There was the guy that parachuted in the stadium before the game.  I considered that a rivalry that's the be reconed with.
 13.

I like the Vidor/Central rivalry.  Those guys play us tough all the time.  No bad blood either...  Just a field of kids giving their all... Just for laughs...  Can we mention a Dayton / L-Train rivalry?
or a Brenham / Kingwood Park............  ;D ;D ;D
Ouch!
 14. My first football game was the last  year of Lamar football.  I was a little kid and I didn't know what was going on.  All I remember was rolling down the hills at LU Stadium.  The game that I actually do remember was '92 or '93 I believe.  Central Vs. West Brook.  Beaumont bowl.  I remember seeing Leeland McElroy whipping some booty.

 16. Barbers Hill fans.  Why don't you submit a good looking picture to TexasBob and his website at [Hidden Content] ?  That way, your stadium picture and information can get updated.  There is an e-mail that you submit the information to.
Heard from an unreliable source that R. Mitchell will be transferring to Ozen. Look-out 20-4A  ;) ;D
Now, that is pure-D balogna!    :D :D

 19. Furthermore, I wouldn't want my state runner-up team playing in the same stadium that the Cowgals play in.  ;D ;D

 21. I love Aldine's Stadium (W. W. Thorne Stadium) as well!
 22.
From a homer point of view, nothing beats the Reservation. The concessions, however, are poor. The Butch is my favorite local stadium for away games. The stadium is awesome! Plus, the smoked turkey legs and popcorn balls make for the best Friday night game food anywhere!
I love those smoked turkey legs!
 23.
When I think of the D1 players hype, I cant help but think about Dominic Merka at Crosby. This young man is a very gifted and highly recruited athlete. He had limited success at the high school level because he didnt have enough help. Football is a team sport. Remember Ivory Williams at Central? A wide reciever with world-class speed, but they couldnt get the ball to him. Football is a team sport. Brenham Fan, you are right though. It does take good coaching AND talent.
For your information, Ivory Williams had limited success at Central on the football team because he was held back from his potiention by his parents.  They wanted him to be a track star.  As a sophmore, he played RB and was an absolute man among boys.  After that, they wanted him on limited usage.  They wanted him in maybe twice a drive.  So, IMO, 'Chopper' may be a bad example.
 24. I think they were more into a gradual incline.  You'll get that from a hill vs. Bleachers.  That's just my 2 cents anyway...
