Ball is not 5A.
Ball WAS 5a when he arrived...  This is their first athletic season as a 4a school...
But it is not their first season with 4A numbers. It's a "one school town" but Texas City and Lamarque get their fair share of Galveston athletes.
Ball did make the playoffs as a 5a team (with 4a numbers).
 3. Ok.  Just pretty much name any player off of the team that you follow and say HE'S in the top 25.  Just because...  :D :D
 4. I know.  We're (Rockets)  3 games back from the 8th spot, which is currently occupied by the Suns.  That's why I mentioned them...
 5. The SUNS did not play last night and are currently on a 4 game winning streak...

I still say----->why leave Aldine Nimitz for Ball High?  ???
Ball wasnt always like they are now..They use to be a Texas power house, plus all the talent their in the Galveston area..Maybe he thought he could get people out to play football, but Its really bad out their right now..
I've heard that most of the talent left Galveston for LaMarque and other nearby schools after the Hurricanes...

 8. They'll make the playoffs.  They are the hottest lower tier team in the West right now.  We just need to hope the Suns lose a couple as they are currently 8 seed and are on a 4 game winning streak...
 9. Wow!  Spray painting the stands?  Yes, Burnett did the right thing.  Lock it up after school hours.  Only open it up when there is staff there to monitor.  It's sad when grown people have to be chaperoned...

Dionte Forney
I like this list as well, but I prefer Cunningham over Smith. I truely believe Cunningham is Ned's best player. Prudhomme is the better player than Gus, but I really like Garrett's leadership on the floor.
You may have an argument there!
 12.
I can't put out a list of twenty five, but I can throw out a 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team scenario.  I'll do it with five on a team the way it should be done, rather than an all-district team of 30 guys. 1st Team SETX: PG Earl Bray, Port Arthur Memorial SG Brennan Doty, PNG SF Chris Cunningham, Nederland PF DC Stallworth, Silsbee C Kelvin Smith, Nederland Everyone in this group is not necessarily in position, but I think these are the best five in the area. Second Team: PG Garrett Gustaffson, HJ SG David Green, Ozen SF Hunter Gonzales, LCM PF Shawn Prudhomme, HJ C Dionte Forney, Nederland Third Team: PG Kelton Gaines, Silsbee SG #2 Livingston.  I want to say Jacory Thomas, but that could be way off. SF Kristin Smith, Central PF Prentice Lane, Silsbee C Jeffrey Ieans, Ozen There should probably be one or two from West Brook on this list and maybe another from PA, but I just haven't seen much 5A basketball this season.  Sorry in advance.  A few guys are a bit out of position, but I tried to take what I thought were the best five and put them together and then do the same with the second and third teams.  HJ guys, I know you will say Prudhomme will be higher, but I don't think he's there yet.  With that said, everyone ahead of him is a senior.  Flame away!
Nice try, but no cigar...  ;D

Brennan Doty-PNG 11. George Whittacre-Spurger 12. Hunter Gonzales-LCM Is all I can come up with lol
Kelvin Smith and Chris Cunningham are the best on Nederland's Team followed by Forney.  They all are better than half of who you listed.
I completely agree!

But other than that the list is very good!!!  I disagree with the order of some, but nonetheless good names!!!!
No. The best player in SE TX is Kelvin Smith from Nederland.
You're trippin!
 15.
We could give suggestions on this thread, then a moderator compile it all and give a list? Just a thought since we dont have a list yet.. 3 kids from Nederland that could start for any team in SETX 1) Kelvin Smith 2) Chris Cunningham 3) Dionte Forney
This kid impressed me the most out of all the Bulldog players this year.
 16.

Its hard for our area to be that well represented in the regional tourney.. Region 3 is LOADED with those dang Houston schools.. And they tend to be pretty freakin great ;) Piece of cake though 8)
Good luck to you guys! That would be cool to see a Nederland / Ozen Regional Final.  I don't think anyone would have seen that coming.
You're darn right!
 17. I have honestly not seen them play this year.  But I do have a contact that have seen them play on multiple occasions and say they are good enough to rival G-Ball in this region.  States that they are very good.
 18. Ozen vs. Kingwood Park Nederland vs. Humble Hardin-Jefferson vs Cleveland East Chambers vs. New Waverly Kountze vs. Crockett Evadale vs. Milano West Sabine vs. Tenaha Spurger vs. Laneville LaMarque vs. Rosenburg Terry Galveston Ball vs. Houston Jones Mexia vs. Lufkin Hudson Navasota vs. Sealy Tatum vs. Daingerfield Cayuga vs. LaPoyner Miller Grove vs. Dodd City
 19. Yes.  Ozen and Nederland could meet in the regional finals, i believe.
 20. I'm rooting for Big Ned, but I'm afraid the great season will come to an end.  Wildcats - 85 Bulldogs - 71
 21. Congrads, Bulldogs!  Sometimes, you need a little magic to go far in the playoffs.  This Nederland team sure is something!
