Smith went all out in this game. I'm sure he was the game high scorer and had several assists and key block shots for the Jags. he put it all on the line and put on a clinic. Can't wait to see him back next year...
Smith did lead Central in scoring, but he also led them in turnovers and putting up wild shots at the end when they should have been working the ball for a better shot. Smith played really well in the 3rd, scoring 11 of his 17, but he failed miserably in the 4th in crunch time.
Yes, Kinda figured that. Turnovers in key parts of the game is unacceptable, especially in the 4th. Have to make those free throws...

Ozen came out and played super agressive defense in this game. I think that North Forest was overwelmed by Ozen athleticism. Green didn't miss a beat in his return game. This kid is awesome to watch. Ozen got very careless close to the end and almost let them come back. But Senior players stepped in and made plays late. Congrads to Ozen on the W!

Us #3 seed losing to King #2 seed in 19-4a shouldn't really be a suprise. We played them well, I thought. Things changed later in the game when we went to a very weak zone (the one we were in when we lost to LC-M early in district). King's strength was the 3 ball. Their entire offense was weaving to the three point line. We did good against it in man. King creeped back into it and took the momentum in the 4th. I mean, we stayed stuck on that same 57 points forever. And another question. Why is it that any team that we play NEVER seem to be in foul trouble at any point but we always are early in halfs of games? Also, how can a ref that is past half court call a blocking foul and there is a ref not even 2 feet from the action? And at the end of the game, how many times do a Jag player have to foul a King player in order to get them to blow the whistle to stop the clock? Overall, good season. Last year's team was young so I was expecting some good things from this year's squad. Maybe I'll have to see it next year. P.S. There was a player (a senior) that was missing from last night's game (a starter). We could have used him last night...

We need to come out and jump on this team fast and take care of business early. Get Fruge going early. Let Smith set the tempo early. I don't want him shooting those threes. He needs to shoot that midrange jumper or drive to the cup. I expect Allen to work hard down low and control the boards. I need Frelow to penetrate every chance he gets. Its now time to peaking. All of these teams are good and we will have to be ready...
19-4A 3 wins 20-4A 1 win BH Crosby GCM Dayton Livingston PNG Nederland Central (dragging up the rear) ;D Sewart will likely be able to recruit farther out of the area since the UIL forced him out, so Dayton could advance to the #4 spot. ;) ;) All that will depend on the new city restrictions placed on film crews at the local Sonic, of course. ;D
And the Ant Mound will be steam rolled to a pancake at season's end by whomever they face first round of the playoffs... ;D ;D

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Ozen have been playing exceptionaly well to say that their #1 scorer and fellow starter was out. We've also seen other players step it up like Joseph. I wonder if the players return will mess up the chemistry? On the other hand, the players returning may come in and give Ozen the firepower needed to make a great playoff run!

H-J is pretty good. I thought PN-G could have made this more of a game if Doty and #12 went all out from the opening tipoff. They both were passive in the first quarter and let the Hawks dictate that tempo. PN-G also had their chances late in the game but did things like get a key turnover and then turn the ball right back over to the Hawks or miss layups. You will need to correct this against Crosby. H-J have some special players. The coach's son wouldn't miss a shot if you would have paid him to. This kid have a good looking stroke. The PG from H-J may have been the best PG I've seen thus far this year. Great dribbles... Great vision... Smart with the basketball... and can score. PS... I love the lob alley-oop at the end to Pruddhome (sp).
Buna has a light pole in front of the stands at the 50 yard line and the visitors have to walk maybe 150 yards to their locker rooms at the jr high but it beats the old small building they had to use before. Silsbee = Best stadium but worst turf!!!
Buna sounds like Livingston's stadium. Silsbee have grass, not turf...
Forgive me for calling grass turf, I have always called it that. Scotts sells turf builder for grass lawns so this is where it comes from. So shot at trying to make me look like a retard denied
No, I really wasn't. I just thought that you wasn't aware. I've liked your posts. Your good! 8) 8)
Only Neg I see on the Butch is the announcer and the scoreboard operator!! The one guy who did the announcing is awful and I like music, but dang turn it down a couple notches during pre-game!!!!! Other than that it is a very nice stadium. I wouldn't want to share my home turf with anyone, but you can't build 3 20 million dollar stadiums. So i give the edge to PNG.
That old man have been screwing up anouncements for several years now. I think they should let me get on the mic! ;D ;D
