1.
Soulja, why was a Senior starter missing?  Or are you saying he was there but just didn't play well?
I have no idea.  Fruge wasn't there...
 2. Congrads, Titans.  I won't sing the Mighty Mighty Titans song untill they're in the regionals...  ;D ;D
 3. And also for the record, K. Smith went all out in this game.  I'm sure he was the game high scorer and had several assists and key block shots for the Jags. he put it all on the line and put on a clinic. Can't wait to see him back next year...
 4. Ozen came out and played super agressive defense in this game.  I think that North Forest was overwelmed by Ozen athleticism.  Green didn't miss a beat in his return game.  This kid is awesome to watch.  Ozen got very careless close to the end and almost let them come back.  But Senior players stepped in and made plays late.  Congrads to Ozen on the W!
 5. Us #3 seed losing to King #2 seed in 19-4a shouldn't really be a suprise.  We played them well, I thought.  Things changed later in the game when we went to a very weak zone (the one we were in when we lost to LC-M early in district).  King's strength was the 3 ball.  Their entire offense was weaving to the three point line.  We did good against it in man. King creeped back into it and took the momentum in the 4th.  I mean, we stayed stuck on that same 57 points forever.  And another question.  Why is it that any team that we play NEVER seem to be in foul trouble at any point but we always are early in halfs of games?  Also, how can a ref that is past half court call a blocking foul and there is a ref not even 2 feet from the action?  And at the end of the game, how many times do a Jag player have to foul a King player in order to get them to blow the whistle to stop the clock?   Overall, good season.  Last year's team was young so I was expecting some good things from this year's squad.  Maybe I'll have to see it next year.   P.S.  There was a player (a senior) that was missing from last night's game (a starter).  We could have used him last night...
 6. Congradss to the Panthers for advancing!
 7. No comment until tomorrow. Too much in disbelief  right now...
 8. We need to come out and jump on this team fast and take care of business early.  Get Fruge going early.  Let Smith set the tempo early.  I don't want him shooting those threes.  He needs to shoot that midrange jumper or drive to the cup.    I expect Allen to work hard down low and control the boards.  I need Frelow to penetrate every chance he gets.  Its now time to peaking.  All of these teams are good and we will have to be ready...
 9.
i thought ants went away in the winter time?  :D
I was thinking the same thing!  If they keep comming out, we will have to get some gasoline and matches...  AKA any 20-4a team...  ;D ;D
 10.
19-4A 3 wins 20-4A 1 win BH Crosby GCM Dayton Livingston PNG Nederland Central (dragging up the rear)  ;D Sewart will likely be able to recruit farther out of the area since the UIL forced him out, so Dayton could advance to the #4 spot. ;) ;)  All that will depend on the new city restrictions placed on film crews at the local Sonic, of course.  ;D
And the Ant Mound will be steam rolled to a pancake at season's end by whomever they face first round of the playoffs... ;D ;D
 11. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.  Ozen have been playing exceptionaly well to say that their #1 scorer and fellow starter was out.  We've also seen other players step it up like Joseph.  I wonder if the players return will mess up the chemistry?  On the other hand, the players returning may come in and give Ozen the firepower needed to make a great playoff run!
 12. So does Green and Blackmon (sp) come back in this game?
 13. Never mind.  I see he poured in 26 as the game high.  Good to see him end his season on a high note.  Star football player and star basketball player and pretty darn good at both.
 14. Way to hang tough with a good team like Crosby.  By the way, does anyone have a box score for this one?  Want to know how many Doty dropped...
 15. I'll make sure I give you a shout out, AAW.  Hope those Jags pull it out...

 17. H-J is pretty good.  I thought PN-G could have made this more of a game if Doty and #12 went all out from the opening tipoff.  They both were passive in the first quarter and let the Hawks dictate that tempo.  PN-G also had their chances late in the game but did things like get a key turnover and then turn the ball right back over to the Hawks or miss layups.  You will need to correct this against Crosby.  H-J have some special players.  The coach's son wouldn't miss a shot if  you would have paid him to.  This kid have a good looking stroke.  The PG from H-J may have been the best PG I've seen thus far this year.  Great dribbles...  Great vision...  Smart with the basketball...  and can score.  PS...  I love the lob alley-oop at the end to Pruddhome (sp).
Buna sounds like Livingston's stadium.  Silsbee have grass, not turf...
Forgive me for calling grass turf, I have always called it that.  Scotts sells turf builder for grass lawns so this is where it comes from.  So shot at trying to make me look like a retard denied
No, I really wasn't.  I just thought that you wasn't aware.  I've liked your posts.  Your good!  8) 8)
 19. Again, Whoever Trey Green's favorate reciever is...  ;) ;)
 20.
Only Neg I see on the Butch is the announcer and the scoreboard operator!! The one guy who did the announcing is awful and I like music, but dang turn it down a couple notches during pre-game!!!!! Other than that it is a very nice stadium. I wouldn't want to share my home turf with anyone, but you can't build 3 20 million dollar stadiums. So i give the edge to PNG.
That old man have been screwing up anouncements for several years now.  I think they should let me get on the mic!  ;D ;D
 21.
I know Waller is out of the southeast Texas area.So I'm just responding to bmtsoulja1 question.Wallers stadium was part of a 50 million dollar bond passed in 2007.Thanks for the good words we are very happy and proud of our new stadium.  8)
I've seen pictures of it.  You should be proud of it!  Looks good!

The system is in place, success will continue.
that's kinda my thought. I don't know jack, but I know one thing that won't change, and that's the focus on defense.
Dayton will continue their dominance...
Dang Soulja! I left this board because every comment made always leads to someone getting pissed! Then, I finally make a post and you apparently took it the wrong way. If you notice, I put Da Butch at the TOP of the list. I don't have to cover a game there to know it's the best stadium in the area. I see it everytime I pass by on I-10. It's a great stadium. It's a stupid name and, I'm sorry, but BISD has issues. The current electrical scandal should make that abundantly obvious. However, I found it odd that so many people failed to mention the new stadium and felt it was probably because of their feelings towards BISD so I was trying to make the point that just because you don't like BISD doesn't mean you belittle what is, by far, the best stadium in the area! Last post from me! Take care everybody!
dang.... leaving over that???
I know, right?
 24.

I think most stadiums have their pros/cons. PN-G is, hands down, the best press box I have ever been in (from hospitality to convenience and professionalism). Also best scoreboard and probably among the best environments for High School football I've experienced. However, I like Silsbee's sunken bowl and its layout (although it's smaller than PN-G). Combine the best of both Silsbee and PN-G and I think you would have a great environment...ha! Haven't covered a game at Da Butch but I have to place it atop the list, despite any misgivings I may have about the name or BISD in general. It looks great! As for worse -- There have been a lot of improvements over the past few years at almost all local stadiums but I think the worst I have ever experienced (past encounters - prior to any updates) was HJ in the late 90's. I had to get a broom from the maintenance folks to clean it out before going in. It was covered with spiders and about an inch of dust and I couldn't get the windows to open. I finally gave up and just sat in the bleachers in the second half and told myself "oh yeah..this is a basketball school"...ha. Also found Deweyville to be an odd place (hope they've updated since then). The worse part there was that the game kept being halted so the refs could chase the stray dogs off the field. There were a half dozen or so hounds that kept getting in the way. Talk about a Dawg Pound! HA! And there were broken rows (I think wooden) and I almost slipped through one of them. But, fans were great and very hospitable! Love Dayton's stadium but the press box needs updating. They've had too much success to not make some improvements (May have since my last visit in 09). First on my list would be a RESTROOM. That's a long walk down for an out of shape sports writer...ha! Last post from me! Take care everybody!
Read the papers.  There IS a scandal in Lumberton ISD.  But that's another story.  ::) I'm glad that you admited you like our stadium.  I don't like the name if it, but that wasn't the topic of this thread, now is it?  You're last post?  Hey, that's completely up to you.  We encourage you to stay, but if you don't post any more, I won't lose any sleep over it...
