Gave you an answer 77
No, my question was where have the great running backs of the last few yrs gone?
Cook went DII and had a decent career from what I recall...Someone help me on the numbers. Hemmings played Safety at McNeese. Harmon is a Freshman at Lamar. Bertrand won't be heavily recruited next year because he ain't big (he'll play at 5'9" and around 200 lbs in 2011), and he ain't real fast (he'll run a 4.6 probably next year), but much like some of the others from above when the pads are on he is a player. Nelson will get some interest I am sure at the FCS level in 2012. He is 6'2" with decent speed (4.6), amazing hands and the ability to go get it! Peveto is only a Sophomore, but at 6'3" 200 lbs and growing (I suspect he will play LB at 220 pounds by Sr. yr) with very good speed for his size, I suspect he could be the first big recruit we have had in some time. There is another intriguing Sophomore that was on the team at years end with the size and drive to get some looks down the road as well (Reasons at OL is 6'3" 250 and growing). If he grows like his brother and ends up 6'5" 280+ he will be a beast. I hear unlike his brother he has a passion for FB!
Let's be perfectly honest, Bertrand won't be heavily recruited because he is a 5'9" WHITE running back.  If he were black the 5'9" would not matter.
Why don't you knock it off, really.  That's really uncalled for.  You always spew this garbage on the threads.  Do it again and you'll be outta there, perminantly!  Have a nice day!  :) :)

 4. Pay no attention to the 'peanut gallery'.  Great pickup by LU getting JJ!  Way to get our local talent back!

I still expect everything to be worked out.
This isn't Central, he can't just say he wants to play and the teachers make it work. He's got to be eligible, and ineligibility is the story of this kids life.
Well one thing that is on his side is woodard. Obviously he could care less about academics or character.
You know, you say some of the darnest stuff, guy!
 6. I tell you one thing.  I think it was #21 for Ozen.  She was a big post player.  But she showed me something.  She moved faster than the girls that was half her size and she pushed the rock on fast breaks.  She also did a little showtime dribbling and made a Central player trip and fall trying to keep up with her!  :o :o  Ozen's little point guard (I think #12) was blazing fast and outran EVERYONE on the court!  Central seems to have lost something after halftime.
 7. He seemed to be eager to beat his old Teamates... ;D  That's modivation in itself..
 8.
What about Kristen Smith for Central? No factor?
He was Central's high scorer once again got a dunk and and showed his range from behind the arch.  Hopefully He'll be a key factor in a win neext time we play Ozen (probably in the Games Gamble Classic or the second district matchup)
What the heck are you talking about?  Did you even manage to read any of this stuff? Who's running out of BISD?  Enrollment is doing good.  As I said, this have nothing to do with the current topic...   ::) ::)
Denial isn't a river in egypt.  Bisd enrollment has been flat for over twenty years.  As for who is moving out of the district, surely you aren't that ignorant?  All of the white people are leaving bisd.  It started with the great ping pong ball debacle of 1980.  Slowed in the early 90's with the promise of neighborhood schools.  And has picked back up again under the watch of the current superintendent and board.  Since you are in total denial, look at the white enrollment in bisd.  It is around 15% now!
Your still not proving a point... Just sound like a bitter and ignorant individual...
So the non white increase of students in Nederland, PNG, BC, and Lumberton is due to the white people leaving BISD?   Or due to the current board and superintendent in BISD? Crime rate might scare them. Couldnt be any other reason or could it? Thoughts?
so are you trying to say those cities haven't seen white people relocating their from beaumont?  So the fact that lumberton has grown from about 2000 people to over 10000 since the mid 80's is because of the 4 or 5 black people that'd live there?  The blacks in nederland are likely there because of rita and blacks leaving port arthur.  I imagine some are from beaumont too.  There is a relatively large group of blacks that do not want to go to school at predominantly black schools.  All of beaumont and port arthur's schools are either all black or predominantly black.  So there are no longer predominantly white schools for them to attend.  In any event, white kids have not been given a chance to fairly participate in 'black' sports in beaumont.  Consequently, bisd loses good families who may also have very talented kids to other school districts.  I know my comments aren't politically correct but that doesn't mean they aren't true.  If you look back at the 1982 wb team you will see that it was loaded with very talented black AND white players.  The french team also had some talented white kids.  Since the early 80's there has been a "to heck with the white people" attitude/movement led by people like paul brown and howard trahan.  This has picked up dream again with the current bisd superintendent and board of trustees.  If you don't think this has negatvely impacted athletics in beaumont then you would be ignorant.
Yeah right...... That '82 WB team had 3 starters from Forest Park.  You're right about that French team but to say White kids are/were being denied in  so-called 'Black Sports' is ludicris.  West Enders are just sorry @football and basketball so they attend Kelly and Legacy if they stay here and the HF's and H-J's of the world if they don't
Apparently you don't have white kids that have attempted to play sports in Beaumont schools but weren't given a chance.  I'm not talking about my own kids but other kids that I have seen that were EXTREMELY talented athletes but weren't given a fair shot because they were white.  It is horrible at the jr high level so kids get discouraged and don't try to play in high school.  So, yes they end up leaving and West Brook is worse off for it.  White kids no longer have a public high school in Beaumont where they can play football.  They get an outside chance at West Brook but not much.  They are looked at more as a Rudy or a 'long shot' rather than legitimate football players.  And, of course, you can forget Central or Ozen.  They are 100% black football teams.  To say West Enders are sorry at football and basketball is idiotic.  But, it does go along with the mentality of the coaches at the public schools in Beaumont.  If you look at the best high school football programs in the state they are more similar to the west ender type than they are any other type.  Also, look at the best college basketball program in the country..it is full of West Ender "types".
I sware, you are so ignorant to the facts... ::) ::)
 10.
Soulja, how does Central lose to Ozen that was minus 5 varsity players, 2 of which start?
Missed layups early..  And got beat on the boards... Then in the second half, simply got outcoached...
 11. I just don't undertand how many times Ozen breaks the press the same way and kep scoring layups  and you NEVER adjust.  Just flat out got outcoached in this one.  Ozen came out in the second half and kept going down low.  Took us too long to adjust to that.  We have to make better in game adjustments in order to do good in district.  Coach have to stop trying to look cool and get up and start coaching at key times in the game...
 12. That's pretty much a given...  if you want a good seat for the boys game...
