I’m glad that we were able to tough this one out. I know this game would tough for the simple fact that we played this team twice already. I love how we were able to weather the storm and get back to what we do best and that is the bring pressure defense. For future reference, we need to work on those free throws if we want to win the ‘ship again. But overall, I’m so proud of these kids and coaches for giving us a chance to repeat.

I like how you slid that in there. But you’re almost right though. The state of BU athletics as a whole isn’t good, but there’s this girls basketball program that I think you’ve forgot about. With the exception of a last second buzzer beater this year, BU girls basketball have pretty much dominated MECCA girls basketball for 2 years…

See, this is what I’m afraid in. That’s why I think you need to make that kid exert some energy on defense. Whoever he’s holding meeds to give him that work, because we know he makes everything go for Crosby on offense…

Nah. The GCM was the wake up call our boys needed. They’re like super locked in now. But if you can get big contributions from Ellington and the other role players, I could be interesting…

I don’t know how many BU games that you’ve seen, but Arceneaux has taken and made that same kind of shot quite a few times while at BU. He knew what he was doing. He took the ball from his own teammate and then went right back up with it. Nothing lucky about that shot. Just like that Bradford kid was making plays for GCM, Arceneaux did as well, just so happened his was at the end of the game.

I think BU got a wake up call last game and will come out and take care of business early.

And something of note. Arceneaux waved good bye to the crowd just like her did after winning the Kimball game last year!

I think Yates went to Smith or King. Both was zoned to Central. And I could’ve sworn that Porchia and Payia went to South Park MS, which were both zoned to Ozen.

Arceneaux would’ve been at Central. Yates too. Porcia and Dotson would’ve been at Ozen. I believe Payia too.

The 5a boys regional tournament will be played at Campbell Center in Aldine…
