Heard was a man tonight  with 200+ rushing yards.  We lined up in singlback and had our way up front.  Much props to our 'big nasties' (O-Linemen) for blocking for Heard.  Our 'Young Gun' QB has matured andhave gotten so good befor my eyes, it was a thing of beauty how he hits our receivers in stride.  Glad we get him for a couple more years.  Playcalling was excellent.  Fan support was great.  Our Defense played great in the first half.  Second half, LC-M made great adjustments to find the holes in our Zone defense. That Gonzalez kid is awesome.  Performed like the 3 year starter that he is.  Got rattled on a hit from earlier and didn't let that slow him down.  He just kept finding #9.  (i was telling some of our fans that I think #9 catch football in his sleep).  Point blank, this is the best receiver in our district.  Refs?  As one fan put it, it was horrible, on both sides.  I'm glad that both teams kept playing as this turned out to be a great game as advertised.  Good luck to these Bears.  You will represent this district great in these playoffs.   Game balls... Central - D. Heard Honorable mention - R. Mitchell LC-M - Z. Sonnier (sp) Honorable mention - H. Gonzalez Special shout out to the Jaguar defense.  You were on the field for most of the night due to our offense scoring quick.  You held your own in the first half and even withtood the second half surge by the Bear offense and stepped up late in the game...  When it counted.
Agreed, Soulja. Like your team, always a classy winner. Could you teach Big Ford a thing or two?
Thanks.  What did he do?

Come on Bears!
Why? Did you think it would be close?
FYI it was pretty close. Did you not think it would be? Bet you thought Indians were gonna run the table again too huh? From what I saw last night, your last game of the season might be a route. Keep hoping for that back door to the playoffs. It could happen. ;D
Ouch!!!  :o :o
 3.
A question for the guys from Beaumont. What is the story on the big receiver #9 for Central. I had a college guy ask if I knew anything about him on the sideline. He is an impressive looking kid.
#9 Ogletree.  Haven't heard of any offers as of yet...

Great high school football game, big crowd, loud fans, great bands, lots of exciting plays!!! I hope both teams stay heathly and finish as the top two in 20-4a. This game was played like a district title game!! Great job by both teams and their fans.
I agree
In my Justin Wilson voice --     [move] I HEARD DAT!!![/move]
:D :D  Good one!!!  8) 8)
 5. Yes!  Those bears are a resiliant bunch.  Tey refused to go away. (thats a good thing as it kept our fans in their seats.  Our fans have an uncanny habit of leaving when we're up by like 2 or 3 TD's) I want #9 checked.  He's a football catching Machine.  And that QB just kept hitting him.  I was nervous!  ;D ;D
 6.
Props, major props to Central.  As far as the teams go, it was a great game.  The referees?  They sucked, but they sucked on both sides of the ball, so it's a non issue. I don't know the names of the Central players, 'cause I'm too cheap to buy a program, but #15?  Beast...all day long, beast!  Delayed draws, the hole appears, he's off to the races.  It took our D time to adjust to him, and it looked close in the 3rd and 4th after spotting 14 points in the first quarter.  But definitely props to the Jags.   For the Bears...shake it off...get ready for next week.  Vidor has a good squad, who won't let you rest on your past record.  Be ready to prove you are a team worthy of going to the post season.  You have a talented team, one of the best in years.   GO BEARS!
#15 = Damon Heard = Beast...  8) 8) 8)

 10.
35 - 7 bears.....great defense and score at will offense
Great post, Newby!  ::) ::)
 11. only had 1 game on grass this year and we won in Livingston.  So I guess they will have to wait till next year when yall play in the Butch... ;)
 12.
This is an easy one for Soulja. If the Jags win, it's a great win and one that was expected. If the Jags lose it's because LCM cheated by watering the field. ::) The only thing I cannot understand is how LCM avoids the wet field. ;) ;D
i don't make excuses... But what I do say is true...  ;D ;D
 13. Make no mistake, I respect the LC-M program.  And I'm not hating on anyone...  I was just saying...  ;D ;D
 14.
I believe those slow , unathletic, not very good in the past LCM freshmen and LCM JV teams both won their games against the more speedier and athletic Central teams last night. That kind of gives me a little tiny slight faint bit of unrealistic hope the Bears can hang with the mighty Jags for a quarter or so. ;) ;D
When does Subvarsity have any bearing on when the big boys are on the field on Friday night?
 15. I tell you one thing...  Yall won't bait me into the 'disciplined' thing again... ;) ;)
 16.
If the same Nederland team show's up from last week then I believe Nederland win's the ballgame. Bertrand was held below 100 yard's by a pretty stingy run defense. The pass defense gave up 377 but Livingston don't pass much. Livingston is huge up front and as a fan you never knew who had the ball. So Nederland would do good just to tackle all of the back's. This should be a good game if the same team from last week show's up.
Yea, but it's not that easy.  1 Bulldog won't be able to tackle the big back 'Mayes'.  And the QB and the other backs are scat backs with blazing speed.  Plus what you already know they have a decent sized O-Line...

Mary Jane  slows down our process, errr I would think. ;D
I just don't get it either dove.  Just for 2 months out of the year stay away from the stuff.  Should stay away from it all of the time if you can't for a season that is 2 or 3 months long you have problems.
Lack of discipline and respect for your God-given talent & the game.
Uh oh, there goes that discipline word. Soulja, where you at? This post needs tending to. ;)
Naw, man.  I don't want to set the basketball forum on fire...  :D :D
 20. 288 yards.. 0 passing yards ...  Pretty good in holding them below their average of 321 rushing yards per game..
