I cant remember a CHS team that didnt play D even the 4-6 team a few yrs ago had enough heart to play D
Yep...  I agree.  I remember the '04 team didn't score their first points till week 4 vs Nederland and lost that game 55-8.  We took blowouts to Brook, Jasper, WO-S.  After that, we became somewhat competetive.  Still ended the season @ 1-9..
 2. We can't tackle, we take bad angles to the ball carrier. We arm tackle . We can't cover nobody.  We don't want to cover nobody. And our defensive ends never stop anything to the outsides...
 3. I agree.  We do a whole lot better in the I formation.  We move the ball a whole lot better than in the shotgun.  I think the playaction pass will fit the young QB better.
 4. My immediate concern is our tackling.  The loss of Hale is now apparent.  He was a tackling machine...

Central will be a better team for playing better competition.
But would they have lost by a combined score of 93-7?  Probably not.  From WHAT I'VE SEEN SO FAR, Central has not been very good. Last year WB beat them by 6, this year by 48.  It would stand to reason that they have not started out very well...
You could put Lumberton and LC-M together and they would still be ran out of the stadium by West Brook and PA Memorial! Ozen and Central will be in the mix in this district and both will probably make the playoffs.
Yeoj, I'm not saying either team would beat WB or PAM, BUT, neither of us would be run out of the stadium. I think Ozen may be a surprise this year and I'm starting to think this just won't be Centrals' year.
A lot of season left.  We have a bye week...  Last year, there was a lot of changes that were made during the bye week.  I see that happening again.  We may have played the two toughest games on our schedule.  With that being said, we have some nice weapons on offense and if utilized correctly, we'll be back where we need to be.  It's all about how you finish and making the playoffs.
 6.
I can understand PNG, they played a tough game against a tough opponent, but come on, CENTRAL? Yeah their opponent was tough but they got beat bad, if they made the polls at all it shouldn't have been higher than 15. Dayton should be sitting somewhere in the middle of the poll too and Vidor should be up higher than anyone from 12 down. This is as bad as the Massey ratings having Jasper at 156th in the state and Lumberton at 345th AFTER Lumberton pummeled them.
::) ::)

Port Neches-Groves Indians 2. Lumberton Raiders 3. Nederland Bulldogs 4. Little-Cypress Mauriceville Bears 5. Beaumont Ozen Panthers 6. Vidor Pirates 7. Beaumont Central Jaguars 8. Livingston Lions This is VERY tentative. The only spot I feel confident about is #1 (;D). Vidor and Ozen have both greatly surprised me, and Lumberton seems to be tearing up the preseason. Nederland was off to a rocky start against WO-S, but the Mustangs are always good (look at their game against Friendswood) and I expect the Bulldogs to improve as their replacement QB gets acclimated. LC-M has improved, as I expected they would, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually in the #3 spot at the end of district play. I have Livingston listed as eighth because I honestly don't know much about them and I need to see more preseason information before I decide to move them up in my own personal ranking. BMTSoulja1, what's going on with the Jags? I know y'all are better than the scores indicate, and the poor performances against WB and PAM are the only reason I have y'all listed so low. What's the deal?
Hard to tell.  If we are just not that good or PAM and Brook is that good.  I'm going to say that our two 5a schools are the real deal.  You've seen Memorial in that scrimmage.  You saw how they moved the ball up and down the field and had yall on many 3 and outs...
I unfortunately couldn't attend the scrimmage between PN-G and Memorial. West Brook and Memorial are both going to be good 5A teams this year, but Ozen performed better than Central in their games against them. Is Ozen just better these days?
I havn't seen Ozen play yet, but I have a good friend who is an unbiased contact (a Brook fan).  From what he is telling me, Ozen have blazing speed all over the field.  And David Green III is really good at QB.  At this point, I think that Ozen is further along than us.  And if we don't get it together, Ozen will beat us in our district game...
Well, maybe I need to reevaluate my rankings.
My contact also said that our O and D lines are much bigger than Ozen's.  Also said that both teams have problems blocking on offense and getting penetration on Defense.  May work in our favor since our lines are bigger.  Plus, Ozen don't have a home run hitter in the backfield like we do, but they make up for that shortcomming with a dangerous air attack.  And Brook just exploited that our secondary is not very good as well.  Or is it that Brook's Passing game is very good.  A lot of questions.  And you know different teams match up differently against other teams.

 13. Right in the middle of the pack.  Where I want to be.  I want to be at a steady pace and then climb to the top in the end!!!  Wooo!  :o :o
The Texas High OT lost must've taken the starch out of the Pirates or BC is that good.  I dunno but I don't think anybody in 20 4A who can come within 14 points of either PAM or WB....
Chuuch!  But no disrespect to any of our fellow 20-4a teams though..  but PAM and Brook are pretty salty.
 15.
Don't throw them under the bus yet..Cause any other school in the area who played WB and Memorial would be 0-2 as well.
I agree.  PAM and Brook are in a different league...
 16. Congrads, Titans on the win.  I jut curious as to how Ozen was able to move the ball like that and put up that many points on that Defense...
 17. Yea, about the O-Line...  That makes sense.  Now, I don't know about the fight thing... :D
 18. Wishbone, you say?  We don't block good enoug for an offense like that this year...
 19. Yea, I feel that, but that 2007 team wasn't getting blown away.  We was losing, but still played hard.  I just hope that the level of ompetition that we faced was just that good... BTW, I remember that year Katy started off 0-2.  I believe they got shut out or blown out those first 2 games...  Then went on to win state... I'm not saying that this will happen with my Jags, But it would be nice if they got good enough to win some games and make the playoffs...

He will no doubt put up better numbers this year than last year... 8) 8) And by the way, I will continue to talk my Jags up...  ;) ;)  ;D ;D
 21. Can I put in a request that our game NOT be live?  ;D ;D
 22.
Central kills itself by switching to a cute offense despite what worked in the pass.  They need to get back to the I-formation and get back in a hurry.... WB is not the #7 team in the state.  They will get exposed by downhill running teams since they're tall but skinny along the defensive front.  From here on out WB fans, the meat of your schedule will expose the flaws....
Most successful out of the I formation.  Somebody need to tell them that we've NEVER been a shotgun/spread team!

Its time to find an identity too; Are you a running team or a spread Passing team. Running the ball from under center would benefit the Jags alot more. 3P's Piss poor Performance; They are just that bad IMO.
Big D, I was saying this all night with my Jag fans. The part about the identity. Congrads to Brook for putting the smackdown to us. You did everything you were supposed to do to an inferior team.... Put us away.  Your speed and skill guys were always put in the perfect spots to make big plays.Brook's defens was also pretty good, with several big hits.  Talked to one of the starting D-Linemen from Brook.  Told me Our O-Line was playing dirty by high lowing their D-Linemen.  I told him it made no difference, because yall were in our backfield all night long... Which brings mee to another point...  We can't Block, or even act like we want to block.  It's hard for our best offensive weapon to get anything going when he have to break like 4 tackles just to get out the backfield.   (82, on the TD run by Central, that was no busted play.  Heard had to break like 4 tackles for that TD... Still no blocking by the O-Line).  Also, thanks to Brook, we discovered that we can't cover the pass either. The Backup QB came in on his first play and threw a TD strike... Jags, Scrape that shotgun and go primarily under center...  The ball was moving...  Got consecutive First downs...  Then you go away from it.  I received several text messages from Brook fans..  Saying that Central was playing a really good 5a team (state ranked).  I was like, that's good and dandy, and Memorial was good as well, but I expect to see improvement from week to week, and I saw non...  Same crap from last week...Go away from plays that work..Can't tackle..  Can't block...  Special teams suck...Playbook sucks...  No sense of urgeny from our players (or coaches)...  I can go on.  And it just seems when I look around, this type of stuff is completely fine... Making excuses for this.  Ummm, did you read my signature?  Same thing goes for my own team.  Anyways, I'm off my soap box now... (its sad, but I'm to the point to where I'm not even that enthused to see us next week...)
Soulja, I realize this was the Beaumont Bowl and everything that goes with it, but isn't now in pre-season the time to work on those plays and try an perfect them before the regular season starts? I would think that was really what the Central coaches are trying to accomplish, chances are, the worst plays will be scrapped or put on the back burner at  least come district time. That's when the games really count. Central has always been known for their running, the coaches probably would like to have another facet to their offense, especially if the linemen aren't as big or fast as past linemen, something to open up the defense.
Work on plays and perfect them in Central vs. West Brook - hardly. ::)  Those Central coaches wanted to compete and win that game.  It's past working on plays time in this season.  Central needs to show something SOON. >:(
I agree...  It's not cool to get embarrassed like that against crosstown rivals...  I've also heard that Central didn't have a pep rally for the players...How can you not have a pep rally during 'Beat the Brook' week?
