1.
Central dominated the Dogs in this game, though Nederland did show a spark in the 3rd quarter, but it wasn't near enough to get anything rolling. Central had great defense against Nederlands weak guard play. There was even the worst clear call at the end of the 3rd (maybe, I forgot which quarter) in which Nederland was given 2 points literally a second or two after the buzzer went off. I don't see Central losing another game in district play this season. As for the Dogs, they have a lot to work on, especially breaking a press and playing against pressure defense around the arc.
Really good assessment.  I will add that Central closed out really well when it seems Nederland had open shots.  Central's Bigs played really well against Forney in the middle, even though they were outsized and out strenghth  (is that even a word?).  That last second shot at the end of three killed me!  It was clearly after the buzzer.    I think that we need more work on spreading the ball like we did in the fourth quarter.  Know who needs to have the ball.  No. 10, No. 5, and Kris should be the only guards allowed to handle the ball when you are spreading the floor.  Heard is fast and made some really good plays and played good defense, but he do not need to be on the floor when we are doing this.  Other than that, we played a great game.  I look forward to us improving a lot if we are still on the quest to win district.  We still have Ozen to deal with.  Also the unknown, Livingston, who we have yet to beat since they have been in our district.
2. Final Central - 63 Nederland - 44
3. 20-16 Central at the end of the first period.
4. Central JV - 67 Nederland JV - 47 Final. BTW, Central did beat Nederland in the tourney by 5 or something.
5. Central JV - 33 Nederland JV - 21 Halftime
6. Start time scheduled for 7:30.
7. PN-G, Ozen, Central, and Livingston.
Good list.  But I would have added Marcus White (Kid that scored 55 points in a game) and Jared Westbrooks (played for LSC-PA). I almost forgot about Keith Fisher.
9. I like it too!  Just don't do stuff like that when he play that really good Beaumont 4a team!
10. This one is hard to pick.  Nederland is 3-0 in district but Central have beaten Nederland this year.
11. I saw the stats.  Forney had 16 and there was another Nederland player with 12, I believe.
12. Kristen Smith finished with 27 points.
13. Congrads, Bulldogs.  How did Forney look?  Can't wait for Central to play Nederland.
14. By the way, on a fast break when you have numbers, you have to finish with an easy basket.  Make the defender commit then dish to the wing.  That's easy pickings every time.  Team Ball!!
15. 44-27 Jags at the half.  Kris Smith is sizzling with several threes and almost dunked on somebody ( was pushed out of the air).  Love the way we went away from the press (that never works).  Keep up the smart decisons, Coach Lee.
16.
oh ok nm I thought it was since you posted the update thread lol
No.  Just getting ready since I'll be updating it on this thread like the LC-M game Tuseday.
17. Don't Know.  As far as I know, 7:30.  I havn't heard anything else.
18. Have anyone taken into account that Yates team is not very tall?  Their tallest  starting player is like 6'3" or 6'4".
