Central vs. Lumberton Predictions?
BMTSoulja1 replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
: : Know you're not going to win the game so you resort to talking noise on our band. Real cute... I guess this is your excuse... We lost because Central's band messed up our children's mind... Real professional... :o -
Central vs. Lumberton Predictions?

What is there to roll your eyes at? Vidor did shred our defense up, but that was in a loss for them... Vidor beat you, so what does that say? -
Central vs. Lumberton Predictions?

Soulja, We have adapted to our talent. We are very small up front and have no power back this year. Unless we run Beard every play. So, we are using the QBs scrambling ability and what little speed we have and then mixing in a little running once we have softened the line of svrimmage a little. We only have 10 seniors starting. I believe over the next 2 years we will begin to resume our idenity again. Until that happens we will do whatever it takes to try and move the ball. Understandable. whatever works, right? -
They used your ACORN ballot that you mailed in. ;D ;D You sly fox you...... ;D ;D :D

Central vs. Lumberton Predictions?

LB, I'm just not sold on the L-Train yet. The last 2 years that yall beat us, you had dominant running games with Hussey in '07 and Hanna last year. I heard that yall are passing the ball. I know that yall have been successful with this, but I just cant shake the thought of your non success before Crueder got there and you were passing the ball. Plus, Jags are doing so good right now playing as a team once again and the defense showed great improvement from the Vidor game, why not pick against them, LB? ;D -
I can't believe it! Central got 1 vote for honorable mentioned!!!! : :

Go ahead and include yourself in that slower team category. ;D I'm using you as an example since you guys were the ones that put up 50+....but yes, we are also in that slower category. I know just messing with you.. We negated there speed with the power running game.If you try and spread them out and run the ball.....Well I just dont see that happening You know, we still could have used our speed stop yall from scoring so many points. We could have brought our LB's up and shot a couple of speedsters in the gaps to stop that power running game of Vidor's. Our coach was content to giving your the 5 yard runs vs taking a chance shooting the gaps and having our players tackle the wrong player and giving up a long run or even paydirt. I think he relied on your players coughing the ball up getting hit once you made it in the secondary. But we can't complain. Our coach went with that game plan and it appeared that it worked. If you guys were giving up 5 yard runs mostly, it is very hard to understand how they put 40+ up in regulation???? Seems they would have chewed the clock up. In the second half, our Defense started to get tired and those 5 yard plays started slowly turning into 8-like 11 yarders. A few 15 yarders as well. Their O-Line was wearing our D-Line down.

You're right. Vidor was content with the 5 yards a pop, that we couldnt' stop. Their offensive line was a direct reflection of that. Their fundimentally sound. But, if used right, speed can be just a dangerous and allows you to do way more than if you have a slower team.
-
Well, you mentioned team speed, whick Central is full of. I also know we play yall this week. Why are you still messing with Livingston when you got bigger things to worry about?
-
I was really trying not to post too many times on this silly thread, but I couldn't help myself. It seems that ever since people noticed that we have fast guys after Memorial kicked off to us and we took it to the house. Ever since then, NO team kicks it deep on kickoffs or punts. Since you are being sarcastic about not being worried about the 'speedy' teams, kick it deep the whole game. Let me know how this turns out... 8) 8)

Hey, ok! Remember, you said it! ;D ;D

Don't ever get us mixed up with those other guys! ;D ;D

The Livingston offense is one-dimensional.....

Nope. They still ran the ball but was way more dangerous with Harris as the homerun threat. -

I say if it's not broke, then don't fix it. I understand what you are going through. We ran a ball control run offense last year. and trust me, it wasn't the funnest thing to watch, but it got the job done. the problem will arise IF a team have the horses to stop it. You have to be comfortable to pass the ball to be able to pass it consistantly. but by all means, if it works, keep with it. Power running helped us march 4 rounds deep in the playoffs last year, but against Friendswood, it was our undoing. -

Wouldn't have been a rude environment if LC-M would have won, huh? I can't speak for all the Jag fans, because there are idiots everywhere. But to say that this is a rude environment is really ludicrous and ignorant.. : -

NS is a state power every year. Before this year, they hold the record for the most consecutive regular season wins.
