Ok. First of all, this was our first 'scrimmage'. We'll be ok now. We were trying different things with Memorial. We didn't change because it was being stopped. Second of all, those great offensive and defensive numbers against Ozen (yea, a very tough oponent : : )will serve you well in this fridays game and as well as in the Katy, Westfield, and North Shore game...( :D ) I just don't hope you expect to win this game if you make the same mistakes that you made vs. Ozen... You fair weather Brook fans crack me up... ;D ;D

Alright. Let's get the season started off right.... Keith 'Roach' O'neal runs wild on WB defense. Central wins. Stump quoted as saying he forgot to call the Orkin man... (front page of the 'Beaumont Suprise' ) : PN-G Beats Crosby!! Media and fans swarm field house to get audigraph from ex-Odessa Permian coach. Vidor do good in their warmup with a pop warner team from St. Thomas... Cougar carcus seen on train tracks. Reports have confirmed that the L-train was seen in the area... Dan Hooks was repremended for breaking the mercy rule on some crosstown team. They refused to shake the Mustang players hand after the game...

I was at the game and the WB D is very impressive. WB couldn't even buy a call though. Officials were terrible, half the time the head official wouldn't even let the press box or the coaches know what the flag was thrown for. :-\ You know what? The little group we was sitting by was discussing the same thing that the head official looked loss and never signaled what the call was. You must be one of the Pirate players I was sitting by... I think I was the only Mex in the stadium!!! not hard to find me in WB.. Sgt, I was talking about pirates78...

This is ridiculous. How do you not get 1 rushing yard? Now I'm really anxious to see if Brook's D is that good. I'm so fired up for Friday to get here.

Athletes you say? We have a team of athletes. I think we'll win that battle although I must admit I was impressed with a few of Brook's 'young guns'.

yes, we were better than I thought we would be. I was at the field house when the teams walked up at the half side by side and you could see and feel how Ozen was imtimidated by Da Brook. Intimidated??? Really, Ozen was intimidated? Wow that is shocking considering WB is a young squad. What's the Bruins secret? I beleive they were. After the Ozen reciever was hit hard on the slant rout by the WB LB, Ozen seemed intimidated. Ozen's QB was running for his life most of the time. WB hurt James White. You can just tell that Ozen was never really the same after these events took place. If you want to win ball games, you can never let the other team know that you are intimidated. It was showing on the players all night.

Yes, I see Central scoring those points on Brook. They didn't last Friday because it was their first game with no scrimmage. The first game cobwebs are gone. I don't think Brook will know what to key on. We will be able to pass the ball as well as run. Our defense will not need to worry about stopping a Monster at RB. In other words, Brook, you have no 'superstar' to bail you out when things get clutch. Yes, Central will score 5 TD's on the Brook defense. Yes, we are 'not Ozen'. Yes, you will be in our house. What is Underarmor's pitch line? 'NOT IN OUR HOUSE'!

For all of the Vets on the board that have been here for the last few years, I have been doing this thing called 'saturday headlines' where I try to predict the headlines of the following high school sports section of the Saturday paper. Sorry I missed Week 0 edition as I was over hyped for the season to begin. I will begin this probably the early part of next week. (probably tomorrow)

Brooks defense did look agressive in 'swarming' the ball, wherever it is. They don't miss too many tackles. On offense, Brook can move the ball. All I have to say is that this aint no Ozen that's out there. Our Offensive linemen will block you. We will move the ball with our many offensive sets. We have players that all they know how to do is win playoff games... ( ;D ;D ;D ). Also, on defense, we fly to the ball. Yea, we looked a little rusty Friday due to no scrimmage, but we will rise to the challenge and take it to Brook, as we should... 35-21 Central

You are right about that. You did predict this. I dissagree with you in that you say Ozen needs athletes. Ozen have athletes. they just wasn't put in positions to do damage last night... Or the more simple solution.... Brook stopped them from doing damage. The score board tells the tale, I guess. Maybe I should fess up and say that Brook is that good and Ozen is bad??

On a side note (not wanting to hijack the thread) I got a chance to meet a couple of the Vidor Football players. Must have been a couple of linemen, because they were huuuge! :o Nice kids... 8)
