Yes, I see Central scoring those points on Brook. They didn't last Friday because it was their first game with no scrimmage. The first game cobwebs are gone. I don't think Brook will know what to key on. We will be able to pass the ball as well as run. Our defense will not need to worry about stopping a Monster at RB. In other words, Brook, you have no 'superstar' to bail you out when things get clutch. Yes, Central will score 5 TD's on the Brook defense. Yes, we are 'not Ozen'. Yes, you will be in our house. What is Underarmor's pitch line? 'NOT IN OUR HOUSE'!

For all of the Vets on the board that have been here for the last few years, I have been doing this thing called 'saturday headlines' where I try to predict the headlines of the following high school sports section of the Saturday paper. Sorry I missed Week 0 edition as I was over hyped for the season to begin. I will begin this probably the early part of next week. (probably tomorrow)

Brooks defense did look agressive in 'swarming' the ball, wherever it is. They don't miss too many tackles. On offense, Brook can move the ball. All I have to say is that this aint no Ozen that's out there. Our Offensive linemen will block you. We will move the ball with our many offensive sets. We have players that all they know how to do is win playoff games... ( ;D ;D ;D ). Also, on defense, we fly to the ball. Yea, we looked a little rusty Friday due to no scrimmage, but we will rise to the challenge and take it to Brook, as we should... 35-21 Central

You are right about that. You did predict this. I dissagree with you in that you say Ozen needs athletes. Ozen have athletes. they just wasn't put in positions to do damage last night... Or the more simple solution.... Brook stopped them from doing damage. The score board tells the tale, I guess. Maybe I should fess up and say that Brook is that good and Ozen is bad??

On a side note (not wanting to hijack the thread) I got a chance to meet a couple of the Vidor Football players. Must have been a couple of linemen, because they were huuuge! :o Nice kids... 8)

This game actually started off good. Untill James White (Ozen's star RB) went down with an injury in the first quarter and never returned. (hope the kid is ok). Though this, they still hung around. WB was just the better team. Reyes ran wild, although I think he will need to pass the ball better based on 'instinct'. He sometimes wait to long. You have wheels. If the pass isn't there, run for the first down. I was impressed by Brook's defense. They didn't miss tackles, they hit the Ozen player over the middle early and set the tone for the night. May have been an intimidation factor. Ozen was tired and Brook began to pour it on in the 4th. Ozen was not able to move the ball at all. Ozen's O-Line is realy huge, but they are slow and didn't block anyone. They will need to get their butts in gear if they want to make a statement in this district. Now I'm left in a state of confusion. I don't know if Brook is that good or if Ozen was that bad. I guess we will find out when the Bruins and Jags get it on next week.

Its_All_About_The_U and WTB ... I understand what you are saying. Are you talking about the Dayton Scrimmage or the Dayton game 2 years ago? I was under the impression that you went to the air on Dayton in that game 2 years ago on the last drive. I assumed that your identiti is smashmouth football with the stud LB locking it down in the middle. I just don't see you abandoning what made you successful for an air attack. You know the old saying, if it's not broke, then don't fix it. Sorry if it seem like I was disrespecting your offense in any way...

Good win, Indians! I saw the highlights. I know that #8 for the Indians was all over the darn place with a few INT's and a fumble recovery for a TD. This kid appears to be my kind of player!
