In 2009 What Game Are You Looking Forward To
BMTSoulja1 replied to skipper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
You have to understand ! Don't care about Dayton or Friendswood. Why would I give props? 2 Volleyball? Are you kidding? 3. Soccer? Get the picture? WestEnd You better care about Dayton && Friendswood. The last time Dayton played Neederland it was 63-0.And as much as i dont like them friendswood keeps beating us.You might wont to start talking mess with a fan from some1 yall ahve a chance of getting on the field with. He's a West Brook Fan, as it indicates in his name... :D -
Good explaination! Catch the ball is what's important!
-
I believe we can make it happen (black shirt), my friend!
-
I agree with you......7-3 sounds about right to me. Again, I think the only bumps in the road will be Westfield, Katy, and NS. I keep hearing everyone preaching about Brook's inexperience........the system has been in place for 5 years now, and the kids know the system. You can throw the inexperience factor out the window after the first TD of the season is scored. Care to take a friendly wager on the Sept 4 game, Soulja? Lets do it! If Central wins, I'll wear a Brook shirt at one of yall games.... If Central wins, I have a Jag shirt ( I think you will look good in maroon and gray) to one of our games. 8) 8)

who will be the district MVP in your district?
BMTSoulja1 replied to holdup's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
MVP - Bellow - Nederland or James White Ozen Offensive MVP - Keith O'Neal - Central Defensive MVP - Anthony Beard - Lumberton -
Wow. Two basketball guys going at it. ;D We do need to get back on topic about J'Covin Brown though, Gents...
-
Very special kid! Good to see that he is ready for the next level by having a performance like that against solid competition. Congrads!
-
O-Linemen - James Gulley. I believe he was on that 2005 team. I may be wrong. He was the inventor of the 'pancake'. D-Line - Anthony Collins - And absolute stud at DE on the 2003 Jag team. He had size, technique, and had opposing QB's running for their life. Oh yea, He's in the NFL now! ;D ;D

Aug. 29 @ Beaumont Ozen, 7:00 p.m. (Babe Zaharias Stadium) 35-34 Brook. (Yes, another 1 point victory.) Sept. 4 @ Beaumont Central, 7:00 p.m. 28 - 14 Central (Central takes advantage of Brook's inexperience) Sept. 11 @ Spring Westfield, 7:00 p.m. 42 - 28 Westfield (Lots of talent on this Westfield team) Sept. 18 Aldine Eisenhower, 7:00 p.m. 36 - 21 Brook (Ike is overrated, IMO) Sept. 26 @ Katy, 5:00 p.m. 48 - 17 Katy (The defending State champions are on a mission and just so happens Brook is in the way) Oct. 2 OPEN Oct. 9 Channelview*, 7:00 p.m. 24 - 17 Brook (Things get a little 'hairy' to start this district off, but Brook holds on) Oct. 15 @ Baytown Lee*, 7:00 p.m. 30 - 14 Brook ( Lee will not pose much of a challenge especially since most of their talent is going to the new school) Oct. 23 Port Arthur Memorial*, 7:00 p.m. 21-10 Brook (defensive struggle, but Brook makes some good plays in the air late in the game) Oct. 30 @ Baytown Sterling*, 7:00 p.m. 35 - 14 Brook ( Sterling was a one hit wonder last year in making the playoffs, but will not give Brook any resistance) Nov. 6 Galena Park North Shore*, 7:00 p.m. 56 - 20 North Shore (All district RB Tracy Woods will run wild in this one. He may be sitting the entire 4th quarter resting for the playoffs) Brook ends the Season at 6-4, which isn't bad considering that most feel this Bruin team will have a down year. They will still make the playoffs right behind NS (take notes, Dave Cambell...)

Looks like someone got called out for talking out the side of their neck... Lol!
-
This is definatly not a conversation for any of Central's qb's. I can't think of a passing QB...

ERIC JACKSON -COACH OF JAGS O-LINE LAST YEAR
BMTSoulja1 replied to bmt123's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
So, is Jackson going anywhere? he will be coaching for the Jags next year, right? -
Lovelady did come in for Grogan (think he was suffering from cramps and saw limited action) and put up some really impressive numbers last year. he could be a force in the red zone.

New Beaumont ISD Complex/Ground Breaking May 28

Great Idea! -
Aldine Eisenhower was pretty good last year. Brook was supposed to play Eisenhower, but that was interrupted by the hurricane. They had a ton of D-1 prospect players on their team from last year. I also believe they went 2 rounds deep in the 5a playoffs losing to Cinco Ranch.

I usually come to the aid of anyone that have something negative to say about Central or BISD. But, AAW does have a point. With the exception of the Beaumont Bowl games, our fans do not fill the stands up. West Brook have recently been doing a good job putting butts in the seats due to their success. I think with the addition of the new stadium along with great seasons by all 3 of our Beaumont Schools, we can start off the 2010 season putting a lot of fans in those seats. -

BREAKING NEWS: NATIONAL HOLIDAY DECLARED FOR TODAY
BMTSoulja1 replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Happy B-Day, Dickey V! -
I understand what you mean. But LaMarque is still 'LaMarque'. They still have athletes and have tradition. They also have a QB that started as a freshman (he'll be a sophmore this year). I think it will present a pretty good challenge.

I think Jordy Matherson was a heck of a player. Not taking anything from him. I was dissapointed with the overall performance of the team. It was 'stop Matherson you win', which is not Jag Football. I was embarrased because I never thought I would see my Jags scoring their first points in the first game of district. I took it as a sarcastic standing ovation, although I'm sure there are a lot of bulldog fans that are 'football fans' as well. Yes, I said it. I'm tough on my Jags when I know what they are capable of. I'm tough on them when we win. Yes, back on topic, I still want to see the Lamarque scrimmage in order to gauge this team...
