  1. Tyrone Hill! He looked like a Sea Creature!!
  2. It's one of those that will resurface every year with new posters.... yawn Yes indeed! Lol.
  3. Hey Soulja, Why do you think that is? Is the Admin that hard to work with? too much politics? Not enuf money? I don't know how things operate around there so I have no clue, but BISD may need to examine themselves as to why they can't keep a good coach. And I think you know me well enough to know that I say this with all respect to the program (and you). As a taxpayer, I wouldn't be too happy about it either, and would start to ask questions. Or, maybe, since "The Examiner" is the self proclaimed righter of all bad things, they could investigate it and try to make the district looks worse than it really is, like they did PNG's (O.K., THAT was intended as sarcasm) I have no idea. I know that our kids deserve the best. I have a sibling that is at Central and all she tells me is how the guys have been talking about football and how they want a state championship next year. That's all they say 24/7. Then this happens. I really thought that Stowers had the kids interest in mind and I hope that this was true. Maybe a Central Alum is the answer. Someone that takes pride in the school and from the neighborhoods and know what it means to wear the Maroon and Gray.
  4. Yea, good luck. I guess. This is not the news I needed to hear. Everytime we get to the brink of being where Central Football is supposed to be, the coach jets out. Happened with Suggs after going 3 rounds deep in 2003, at that time, was the farthest any Jag team went. Now this year after a 4th round appearance. Can't cry over spilled milk. Have to move on. Whatever coach steps in will have a group of talented young men to work with. Next year still looks bright for our boys!
  5. Run the ball! Put in some playaction or bootlet in there, and your good to go in my book!
  6. It think we will hold up again. I expect our boys will make this easy. We have players that have been steadily improving and it shows in big games. We lost to Ozen, but a lot of players matured in that game. Same thing with the Livingston game. We was down big, but we had other players that cut into that lead and started playing some ball. I look for big things this second half of the district, starting with Vidor.
  7. Hey, you got Central's color wrong! We ain't no darn dark blue! :-X
  8. Ozen (-2 1/2) @ Nederland Central (-9 1/2) @ Vidor PNG @ LCM (-7 1/2) Lumberton @ Livingston (-16 1/2) Orangefield (-9 1/2) @ Bridge City Hamshire-Fannett @ Silsbee (-41 1/2) Hardin-Jefferson (-11 1/2) @ WOS Warren (-2 1/2) @ Buna Deweyville @ Kountze (-36 1/2) East Chambers (-8 1/2) @ Hardin
  9. I know that in the Central game, it appeared that Breon was clearly the better player.
  10. An Ozen fan stated that those kids missed a practice and that is why they sat out the LC-M game. Stated they should play in this game. This changes everything. Ozen by 15 now.
  11. I hate to say, but if we have other players besides Gulley that steps up, we can win big. I look for Phillip Jefferson and Christian Smith to do their thing. That along that we have already played Vidor for a 3rd time thise year. 70-55 Jags.
  12. If Ozen's Jefferson and Franks don't play, Ozen by 2.
  13. 6'10 sticks was good but could have been better....... he was not very aggresive at the basket......... if he would have played as hard as Terance Williams, Dessmond Doss, or Shannon Robinson than he would be at a D1 school or even the NBA.......... Uuuuuuuhhh Sticks was not 6'10!! You must be thinking of the big that Silsbee had that played for Sam Houston. then how tall was he ???....... he is taller than Skinner........ If I remember sticks was 6'6 or 6'7!!!! He was like 6'7" as a sophmore, which he was on Varsity. I think he grew to 6'10" as a senior.
  14. 6'10 sticks was good but could have been better....... he was not very aggresive at the basket......... if he would have played as hard as Terance Williams, Dessmond Doss, or Shannon Robinson than he would be at a D1 school or even the NBA.......... Uuuuuuuhhh Sticks was not 6'10!! You must be thinking of the big that Silsbee had that played for Sam Houston. If he wasn't 6'10", he was 6'9" with a 6'11" wingspan!
  15. 6'10 sticks was good but could have been better....... he was not very aggresive at the basket......... if he would have played as hard as Terance Williams, Dessmond Doss, or Shannon Robinson than he would be at a D1 school or even the NBA.......... I know he didn't play aggressive on offense. On defense, he was swatting anything that comes close to the basket.
