  1. AggiesAreWe pretty much summed this up. This was a very interesting game. Silsbee couldn't get much from the other players. But when you give the ball to Robinson, look out. It was not his shooting that impressed me. It was the way he got other players involved. There were some passes that the other Tiger defenders were not ready to handle. Silsbee will be fine come district. Lopez for Brook started the scoring frenzy in the 3rd. Lopez kept Brook alive when it appeared that Silsbee would run away with it. You all know what happened in overtime. This one kept me on the edge of my seat! Great win, Brook!
  2. I tell you one thing. I'm impressed by #23 from Silsbee. He does exactly what a point guard is supposed to do and some. This kid already have like 6 or 7 dimes already. He's so quick, he draws the defense in and either finds an open shooter or a slasher. If it wasn't for his teammates not being able to handle his no-look passes, Silsbee could very well be up by at least 6 right now. Now, back to the game...
  3. Wrong....... Silsbee has showed up and played hard in every game except the Sanger game.......the only reason Silsbee lost there last two was because of Robinson being injured..........Also they lost to Ozen because Ozen is just as good as Silsbee so that really did not hurt anybody I think Silsbee would hve beat Ozen if they would have played somewhere other than Ozen........ ;D Read my signature...Ok, the key player gets hurt. There should be other players that step up and fill the void. Like I said, If Silsbee can play like they were when they were red hot, they take Brook by 12... This is not the NBA every High school team has a key player.......... Never said that this is the NBA. You just said it. Take Ozen for example. That team is good enough to give any team fits even with one of their big 3 out. That's a team. Silsbee, I'm sure is the same way. Don't make excuses for one of your players being out. From what I heard from several other Silsbee fans, the Tigers have other nice players and a good bench. BTW, I will go and check out this game. This will be my first time seeing either team this season...

  5. 2008 - Central should have beaten Friendswood! (this one hurted the most) 2006 - Central should have beaten Dayton! (heartbreaker) 2006 - " " should have beaten West Brook (Big Letdown) 2002 - " " should have beaten Caney Creek (Cold day at Thorne Stadium)
  6. This will depend on which Tiger team shows up. They have suffered some losses recently. At the same time, the Bruins are no slouch. I think the Tigers will get up for this game. Tigers 60 - 48
  7. : here we go again...
  8. I think Cheese and 'Whine' go together...
  9. 44-30 Central over Vidor to win the Championship. This is Central's first tourney win in the Rice era. I know it's probably was no doubt that we would win, but hey, it's a win and we'll take it. Now, on to District...
  10. If you really want to quibble...Dayton was in 20-4A last year and you could say they're just "on loan" to 19-4A. Newspapers are starting to suck because of the proliferation of the internet and not vice-versa. Why wait a day to get the news in print when you can get it instantly on ESPN.com or some other internet source? The Liberty Vindicator is the largest paper in Liberty County...they probably have 3 reporters. These boards are great...we really do get to find out who the players to watch are from the other teams that never get reported in the paper. It even let's us Dayton fans keep up with 20-4A even though we only played Livingston (who is probably further from Beaumont than Dayton is). Of course Dayton would rather BE in 20-4A even if we have to drive 90 minutes to get to LCM... Whatever... :
  11. the freshman kristian smith kinda reminds me of vince young lol I didn't know Kris played football...
  12. Wow! So we'll have a chance to play a 6th game today! Nice!
  13. Ok. I never seen this JV QB. Hope to get to see him in action next year.
  14. I like it! last time Central was state ranked was in 2003 when we started the season off 7-0...
  15. I feel so unappreciated. :'( When I started this thread, along with all the updates I have put on here, my Karma has only moved up 1. > :'( I hooked you up!
  16. Ok. I see. I was thinking that the quick pg was the one that got the flush. Isnt' that Benard? I must have them mistaken.
  17. Is that the little point guard that got a dunk, Aggies? Is that who Burrell is? Or is that the athletic big man they got?
  18. I looked at the tourney thread that Coop made. It have Vidor playing (TBA) and Central playing Milburn. They may have modified the games some since then. There ain't no telling...
  19. Central plays Milburn at 2 tomorrow. I believe that is the only game.
  20. Mid range touch. Monster on the boards. Intimidation factor. Most important, Attitude. I believe that all big men should be cocky and full of fire and attitude. Enjoyed watching that young man in action out there.
  21. When I seen Bryan play, their big man impressed me more that the pg. The pg did appear to have a sweet stroke though.
  22. I don't know about 'great', but Brehnan (sp) Jackson will be at the helm next year. Got a lot of burn all over the field and some time at the backup roll in key situations.
