  1. The PNG fans didn't seem much of a factor after all and were strangely quiet for most of the game. I didn't hear Cherokee played very often either. PNG might have been hungry but they found bulldog a bit tough to chew on. Maybe that tender bear meat on Tuesday night spoiled them. Ouch!
  2. Lets see..... Last year.... Dayton was playing with a 3rd string QB and several defensive people out... Lumberton said.... that didn't matter... now the shoe is on the other foot.... CONGRATS VIDOR!!! Wonder if Dave Campell will change those playoff predictions... Picking the top three teams from 20-4A will be REALLY tough! Good luck to ALL the teams! The Broncos will be waiting to play one of the teams. ps.... I wouldn't want to be paired against North Forest. Talk about a QUALITY team! Is North Forest yall district's biggest team (enrollement)? If so, we might have to see them first round.
  3. I have not seen Ozen play yet. I pay close attention to the stats though. Yall usually score first. Yall do some good things passing the ball. Yall try to get Jefferson involved early. I know for a fact that yall have just as much speed and athletesism as us on defense. Yall got a D-1 MLB. It's like yall always end up going away from what works. Yall go into a 'dormant' part of the game where nothing happens. I expected big things from this Ozen team. I don't want to say it is the coaching staff. He is the same coach that helped us win district in 2005. Special teams, maybe?
  4. Second game in a row I say this. Whatever Matthews is doing to get these kids fired up in the second half should be done before the game also. heck, keep them in the locker room longer. You can even take a delay of game penalty. This might be a good stragety!
  5. Ohh, ok. Thank you for that info. He's basicallly a good FB type back that have great agility.
  6. Scooter, Let's start using our minds and not our heart. NS will manhandle PAM by 3 TD.
  7. So Grogan is the real deal, huh? Is he all power with speed? Does he have good vision? Blocking skills? Catching out of the backfield?
  8. I've been predicting them all night. Check the other Vidor/Lumberton thread...
  9. I'll take my crow with squeezed lemon juice. I thought that Indian running game would overwelm the Nederland defense. I guess Nederland is once again on a roll like they were last year.
  10. Sounds like a good game. Just imagine, I almost considered missing my Jags to see this one. I should have dont it. Congrads Bulldogs.
  11. I don't want to talk down on another school, but this was not competitive at all. The Bear team couldn't tackle, couldn't catch, couldn't throw, had their heads hanging, pretty much all fundamentals were out of the door. There is a change needed here. There is a role model or something that can modavate these kids. It's truely sad that our second team offense can move down the field like that. There is nothing realy for me to say about my Jags. They didn't turn the ball over and did what they was supposed to do. I wish the Bears the best of luck on the rest of the season. They'll need it. :'( :'(
  12. I don't know what is going on with Ozen. I just don't get it. It's really sad, honestly. Congrads, Lions, on the first win of the year.
  13. Wow I thought Lumberton had a gun slinger? If they are a running team we should be able to take this one. How does the L train stack up against Central? First off...Lumberton should have more success throwing the ball in this game. Second, they are not just another running team. They are a very good running team that can and will run on U at will! Just ask anyone from outside of Lumberton that has seen these backs run the ball against their teams this year and they will tell U what they're capable of. Lumberton has big, bruising, qualtiy backs... but I don't agree that they run at will on anyone. Good luck to both of these teams. My heart says vidor... My head says Lumberton. I'm not going to sit here and say they will run on anyone at will, but until someone shows that they can shut them down it will be a hard time getting the win for the opposing team. im sorry, but who have you played with a defense... we have played central... Look ...Central hasn't done anything yet for you to be using them as a barometer. They beat a bad Memorial team by 3 and they beat U. That ain't saying much now is it? I hope the Raiders win this game and I hope they blow Vidor out so I can come on here tomorrow and let U know all about it. Vidor could pull a win out...I just don't think they will. BUt all of these statements about 300 yards rushing and Vidor wins by 2-3 td's is just not reality. That Memorial team has a good defense with a couple of D-1 prospects. They are a good QB from becoming beastly. Vidor kicked it in another gear in the 4th quarter. That's Why I am picking them with a win over lumberton. If they can kick it up to that gear, they will be pretty salty.
  14. Exactly. For confidence and for post-season hope... yep maybe so, but vidor will not be able to stop the run and will not run the ball on Lumberton. don't let the central game be a barometer for anyones season, from what I saw, they were not very impressive, if anyone has a decent running game, the jags shouldn't be a problem. the only advice I have for vidor is make sure your mouth piece is in at all times, because it's comin'! not being cocky, just stating a fact! : : Whatever you say... : : I will say that I did hear through the grapevine that the Jags didn't really look all that great on film. I don't know, I haven't actually seen them play in person but just going by what I heard. Every game, we have gotten better and better. Keep looking down on the Jags if you want. Our boys will just keep rising to the challenge and win ball games.
  15. I've convinced a handful of Jag fans to wear red shirts.
  16. Michael will rip NS another you know what, but NS will still win that game, IMO.
  17. So you have Brook going in the D1 bracket, huh? There is a gut feeling telling me that Sterling will make the playoffs. They have been bad for so long, you know. I don't understand how they are bigger than Lee and they still sucked all this time.
  18. Well, I might happen. I know it sounds crazy, but I think Sterling will make the playoffs. 1. NS 2. WB 3. Sterling 4. Memorial
  19. It's not bad. We don't pass enough to make that assumption. Also, our QB have not thrown an INT yet. ;D ;D
  20. Exactly. 21. Ohh, we have a big receiver coming. I havn't seen one of them in over a decade at Central.
