We started off strong running the ball and moving those chains. Capped off with a long pass for paydirt. At this point it was 19-7 Central. Third quarter, Livingston broke a long run for a TD making it a 19-14 game. It seemed that when we were driving, there is alway a holding call that sets us in 1st and 15 or 1st and 20. We could not get the first down. Livingston then played ball control by moving the ball real slow in the later part of the third on into the fourth and scored and went for 2 and got it. At this point, the score was 22-19. One of our drives stalled and Livingston got the ball and was driving. Stopped them and they stoped us on the next drives. Livingston had the ball on 4th and 10. One of our defenders grabbed the QB 10 yards behind the line of scrimage. He got away, Juked another one of our defenders, tiptoed the sideline, Juked another Jag defender and stiffarmed another one on his way to paydirt for 50 yards. This was the backbreaker. With that said, the game ball goes to #1 from Livingston. he made big plays in the 4th when they needed it. I heard fans saying that we got outcoached again. I quickly turned around and said that it wasnt' coaching. This is on the players. You have to make plays. Livingston had some great tackling in the second half, one of them was an open field tackle that prevented the first down. Kudos to this Lion defender. It's really bad because we really needed this on to stay in contention for the District Championship. I hate that we let another newbie come in and be in contention to win this title. Ohh well, we have to gear up and beat the Indians next week and make the playoffs. Let's get it together, Jags. Good game by both teams...

Just for the record, Artest got a 'T' for nothing. Yao and Howard bumped into each other after a hard foul from Howard (might have been Dirk). Artest ran over to Yao's aid and kindof pushed Howard asside to get to Yao to move him back. You don't call a 'T' just because of his reputation. Get it together, refs!

The one thing that I learned about Central in dayton's 2 years in the district is that they most often play to the level of their competition sometimes this can be great! More than any other team dayton played in that district, central was the most unpredictable when comparing common scores... so don't try. I hated that about my Jags. This is true. We did a lot a playing to our competition. To the Lion fan. The offense will move the ball and the defense will be there. If you have any playmakers to stop 3rd and short, this will be an interesting game.

Didn't almost blow a gasket. I gave the BH kids credit. You just hate to see your team lose in the last few seconds like that. I did mention there was some questionable calls in that game but it went both ways though.

I hope we got our big man playing big this year. He was a 6'8" freshmen. If he put on more height and size, he will be a presense in the middle!

Yes. It goes by enrollment to see what bracket they go in. After the brackets are established, district standings go into play. In the small bracket, whoever finished the highest gets the higher seed, meaning they face the lower seed team in district 19-4a. Same thing with the big Bracket.

Agreed he would leave the field with the help of others! I would think they could quickly design a hockey style kind of play to even the score. Question, was the receiving team guy off sides--he got there pretty quick.I bet his parents were proud. Yes he was if you pause it then grab the slide bar you can see that the kick return guy was on about the 48 1/2 yard line when the kicker kicks it... not only did he cheap shot him but he was also offsides.... And yes a bounty would of been issued shortly afterward... I am not a vindictive person but when you intentionally go after another young man to intentionally hurt him.. you should be dealt with accordingly... an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth... This was no different than ear holing someone down field that is behind the play by 30 yards.... I see what you are saying, but on an interception, the QB is fair game and you can go after him. This is why sometimes the QB will stay on the ground.
