You never know. Ozen was picking up some steam at the end there. They also have the coach that helped Central win the district championship a few years ago.

He's a beast, I tell you that. I have seen him twice against my Jags. Each game, Mason-Griffin had huge games. He's pretty much unstoppable. I believe he should have stayed and played in Houston. He got exposure in the big Houston vs. the Nations tourney last year. Everyone knows who he is.

Out of all the teams that we have played since dropping to 4a, Lumberton have always played us tough. This year will be no exception. However our depth will push us forward in the 4th this coming year.

Yes, that was a heartbreaker. There was still a chance in that game but there was a boneheaded play on Clements' last drive by a Brook defender. I still think that this was a state contender team that came up short.

No excuses. You are hearing this from a Jag fan. We had just as many big men come through as Ozen. The Ozen team staring Chris Richards was one of the weakest Panther team that I have seen in some time. They were not that big and were very young. They started off with some key losses. When district started, just like a typical Ozen team, they picked up a head of steam. They started peaking at the end of district and when the playoffs started, well, you know the rest... All boils down to coaching as I have seen Boutte do it time and time again. It's actually like a broken record. I have learn expect that every year .

The most hearbreaking loss was the durring the 2002 playoffs in the first round of the playoffs vs. Caney Creek. We was up the whole game and pretty much in control. The 4th quarter, CC ripped off a few TD's. They scored a TD with seconds left and hit the extra point to edge my Jags 22-21. This was double sad because we played at the same stadium that Ozen played who had the night game. They suffered pretty much the same kind of loss to Oak Ridge. Cold and Sad day for Beaumont. :'( :'(

There is no need to tell him to shut up. He can believe what he wants to. His opinion does sound far fetched though. It just a mascot. Its kind of like if animal rights people tell us to stop using a Jaguar as a mascot since they are an endangered species.

There are quite a few Brook and Central fans on here. We all are very excited about gving up our stadiums for the new BISD stadium.

I don't want to make it sound like I'm hating or anthing, but I attended 2 or 3 Ozen games. Jefferson is physically gifted, but he has mediocre hands at best. There was times that he had a clear mismatch with one on one coverage. Instead of making the sure catch with 2 hands, he tries to make one handed or 'pretty' catches in stride. Me along with Ozen fans were very frustrated. If he can convert the soft hands that he have in Basketball on the Football field, he will be a real force.

I will not put much stock in scrimmages from years past. The fact of the matter is they have athletes just like we do. Also, this is a type of rivalry. You know, PA vs. BMT. They don't like use and we don't like them. Memorial will bring it!

This is a good question here. It depends on what my team is doing and who they are playing. I actually like watching the bands if they don't suck. If my team is losing, I usually strike up a heated argument/conversation with neighboring fans about the mess that I just saw. If we are winning, I pleasantly watch both bands at halftime. I try to send someone down for a turkey leg or something. If I am at a game that is not featuring my team, I will go and visit with the oposing teams fans (which is usually someone I have met on this site). They are open minded so I usually tell it like it is, no matter how tough I man come down on the team. Very seldom will I go down to the restrooms. When I do go, I always find it funny how many fans show how frustrated they are at the performances of their team while they are in there. Priceless!
