Sam Houston would be preseason correct?  For The '76 and '77 seasons I included pre season. Nederland is not undefeated overall. They lost a game in preseason...so if its just district..we would have 3 in a row.

And to give Vidor even more props...You hung 49 on us where Nederland could only manage 35. I think if Vidor played Nederland at this point in the season..the outcome would be different.

There are no PN-G fans on this thread trying to down Vidor or take anything away from their win. We have all congratulated them. Overall I would say this is a pretty friendly thread. And as far as paybacks...I think we all knew that Vidor would hand us our butts..no surprise there. I'm sure the feeling would have been better for Vidor if they had ransacked a good PN-G team. Games like this don't really help you prepare for the playoffs and are no test for whats to come.

[/quote] Iv'e always rooted for Nederland except for MCM, but the bulldog fans on here never seem to root for us...in this very thread one said run up the score on PN-G. When Vidor and Nederland played at the first of the season...a Pirate fan started thread about how the PN-G fans supported Nederland...but still they take pot shots at us at every turn. If Vidor and Nederland meet up in the playoffs...Vidor Pirates...Smoke'em!

I was surprised myself to see the empty stands after halftime...can't blame people..but felt sad for the boys coming out and seeing that.

I'm just glad he has kept that freshman team together...I would rather have a bad year this year. We have alot to look forward to. And all the smack talk is building up...since we couldn't this year...the threads are going to get brutal..lol

Just got home from Vidor...had to stop for food..way to cold to eat in the stands. I suffered thru till the end...Yes our stands cleared out after halftime...so did Vidors...got a pic...cause i knew yall were taking pics of ours...lol. I dont blame either side for leaving, especially if you  had small kids. I didnt expect us to win...but at least it wasnt a shut out. I was beginning to wander if the only receiver on the field was Rose...Smith went to him everytime. I saw Walker on the sidelines...it looked like the cast was off but I never saw him go in. Halftime was great...Hats off to the Pirate Band...you scared the mess out of my daughter, who is terrified of fireworks..lol. I just want to know...How in the heck did you lose to Nederland? I was watching the recap on the news..the camera couldnt even keep up with who had the ball...Montana is Houdini...its not fun to watch Football if you never see a FOOTBALL. BTW...we like our Chief...We have had 3 good seasons with him...Everyone had a down year every now and then. I was bored today and went back in the thread to the 09 season when we owned this district..their was a Pirate poster complaining about Matthews...saying he didnt know what to do with the talent on the team...and look at yall now. Proud to be a PN-G Indian! Good Luck Pirates in the playoffs!
