  1. From Chronicle. Hopefully a small bump in the road.
  2. Marshall Bulldogs 8th grade won the San Jacinto Division 1 tournament last weekend. Very strong group.
  3. BH North 8A defeated Baytown Junior by 12 or so. Gentry 8A defeated Highlands BH South 8A defeated Dayton by 28
  4. BH North 8A 59 Highlands 58 Great game with good runs by both teams. Highlands 8B won by 3 I believe
  5. BH has hit some bumps with some teams including North Shore, but does have wins against Dawson and Cy-Woods who normally are good. I haven't seen Legacy this year, but Morris is the real deal. Her supporting cast wasn't as strong as the better teams in the area last year. How is Ozen this year? Lumberton being undefeated should be 1. I know Crosby is a pretty good win, any other quality wins? Hopefully they get a chance to play someone tough before the playoffs. This has hurt BH in the past.
  6. BH wins 66-57 over 6A defending champs. This is a nice confidence booster. Collier 32 points 12 rebounds per twitter.
  7. Gentry 8A should be the top team in the district with Highlands being their top competition (This is all based on last year without knowing any move ins) Barbers Hill North 8A won by 20+ over Horace Mann Barbers Hill North 8B won by 10+ over Horace Mann
  8. Brackets are here [Hidden Content] and they update them with scores
  9. BH 55 San Antonio Brennan 36 North Shore over Cy Falls Clear Springs over Lake Ridge Duncanville blew out Manvel Summit over Cy Fair in OT Cedar ridge over Cy Ranch
  10. Some pretty good teams in this one. Crosby should be tough this year and HJ and Lumberton seem to always be competitive.
  11. BH Varsity Volleyball will face Magnolia in Regional Semi-final on Friday at 6:30 pm, at Don Coleman Coliseum in west Houston.
  12. Barbers Hill wins in 3 and will play Friday
  13. Barbers Hill North 8A destroys the South....okay maybe not destroy. tied 8-8 Good game. Both teams had a long td called back for holding. Now on to the Basketball
  14. That is a good way to start off. Both of these teams should be playoff teams.
  15. Barbers Hill North 8A 12 Cedar Bayou 8 Baytown Junior 8A 41 Barbers Hill South 18
  16. Dayton 8A 26 BH North 0 BH South 8A 8 Highlands 0
  17. 8A BH North took a commanding lead of 6-0 against Crosby...only to lose 38-6. Crosby's Offense played well and we had too many fumbles again. 8A BH South beat Horace Mann 36-13
  18. Gentry just won 25-0 due to bad refs....okay, obviously joking. Gentry's Running Backs broke a few long ones and looked good overall. Their QB played smart. and we got a case of fumblitis that keeps rearing its ugly head.
  19. BH North 8A 12 Baytown Junior 0 BH North 8B 20 Baytown Junior 7 BH South 8A 24 Dayton 20
  20. The problem with the 4th and inches was with the ref. There was an obvious holding penalty and your team did get the first. The ref marked the ball at the point of the penalty and not where your player went out of bounds. The coach declined the penalty due it not being a first down. When your coach correctly argued that the mark was wrong, that allowed the BH coach to accept the penalty. Junior High games usually have 1 reasonably good ref and 2 not so good ones. They messed up a few times, even on some when they got the call right, they just administered it incorrectly. Y'alls DLine seemed to start in our back field. Our QB was getting hit sometimes before he could even start a fake.
  21. Highlands 8A 6 BH North 0 Both teams played pretty good defense. Highlands DLine played well. Score came off a 54 yard fumble return with 2 minutes left in game. Highlands 8B 21 BH North 0
  22. Judging by what Gentry had last year on 7A, they should be okay. They have to speed to stay up with the HM's top backs.
