If Ike turns north and goes up the east coast, talk about a huge miss on the Long Island, Rhode Island, and Conn. shore line. Would be double worse if the eye wall went just west of Manhattan. Talk about a storm surge going into Hudson Bay. Lets hope it turns north then doubles back east.

After missing practice days due to the hurricane evacuation the GAME WILL BE PLAYED! Unfortunately for LC-M the score won't be too kind. Look for WO-S to have a solid game and win this one going away. Every one on the WO-S team will get into the action Saturday. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION WO-S 35 LC-M 7 PN-G vs CROSBY SATURDAY 7 PM For the second week in a row the Indians will travel across the Trinity River. Last week the Indians ambushed the Eagles, now the Cougars from Crosby are trying to repeat last years win over PN-G. If PN-G can contain the quicker Cougars the tribe might start off at 2 and 0. Unfortunately the speed of the Cougars will provide three big plays that will turn the tide of the game. The Cougars will be outplayed, but will come out victorious with a big play over 50 yards in the 4th quarter to ice the win. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CROSBY 28 PN-G 17 CENTAL vs WEST BROOK SATURDAY 7 PM DURLEY STADIUM The Jaguars and Bruins both enter this game at 1 and 0. The Bruins will be way too much for Central this week. After dismantling the Ozen Panthers last week look for the Bruins to be playing their 3rd string again in the fourth quarter. The Bruins are loaded this year. Look for them to make a good run in the playoffs. The Jaguars will be declawed Friday, but look for Central to dominate district play. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION WEST BROOK 42 CENTRAL 14 PA MEMORIAL vs OZEN SATURDAY 7 PM ZAHARIAS STADIUM The Panthers and the Titans are still looking for their first win. After Saturday night Ozen will be still be searching. The Titans will once again hand a lopsided score to Ozen. The Titans dominate this game in every statistic. The Titans win big at Zaharias stadium while Ozen avoids a shut out with a late 4th quarter score. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PORT ARTHUR MEMORIAL 35 OZEN 7 HOUSTON ST THOMAS vs VIDOR FRIDAY 7 PM Vidor starts the year off with two home games and... two victories. The Pirates win again in a close one. The Pirates defense will halt the opposition and the running game will pound out enough yardage for two touchdowns, while a defensive turnover results in the third TD. Vidor will be 2 and 0 and will be building up a lot of confidence going into the season. The Lions will start the season off with a roar. Look for the Lions to score four touchdowns and only give up two. Livingston wins by 14 points. The luck runs out in Conroe for King. Look for Caney Creek to take this game by 10 points. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CANEY CREEK 24 CE KING 14 MONTGOMERY vs GALENA PARK FRIDAY 7:00 PM GALENA PARK STADIUM Galena Park is sitting at 1 and 0 after a victory over Magnolia. This week Montgomery opens the season and they also will be 1 and 0 while Galena Park falls to 1 and 1. Too many mistakes in the second half will do Galena Park in as a late 4th quarter score by Magnolia is the difference. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION MAGNOLIA 14 GALENA PARK 10 WORTHING vs NORTH FOREST FRIDAY 7:30 PM North Forest scored 33 points in their first ever game last week. North Forest will continue their winning ways this week and continue to score lots of points. North Forest wins by scoring five touchdowns while the defense wins the game with a fourth quarter goal line stand. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NORTH FOREST 34 WORTHING 28 KINGWOOD PARK vs MAGNOLIA WEST FRIDAY 7:30 PM Kingwood Park is undefeated in school history. Their undefeated streak will continue this week with a solid victory. Kingwood's offense gets close to 400 yards and the defense looks strong. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION KINGWOOD PARK 28 MAGNOLIA WEST 7 GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL VS DAWSON FRIDAY 7:30 PM Goose Creek Memorial got nipped by Pasedena in their first ever game. Memorial will still be looking for their first win after this week. Too many mistakes will do Memorial in. Dawson wins this one by two touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAWSON 21 GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 7 TOUPS GRAPHICS GAME OF THE WEEK (EAST OF THE TRINITY) BARBERS HILL vs LUMBERTON SATURDAY 7 PM Last year I kept on picking against the Raiders and the L-Train kept on winning. This week the L-Train is in their home openner, but Barbers Hill will offer a much tougher game. Look for the L-Train to cut down their mistakes enough to win this one. Barbers Hill has a chance to win this one in the fourth quarter but a fourth down pass goes incomplete. The L-Train keeps on trucking as the Raiders win by 7. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 21 BARBERS HILL 14 TOUPS GRAPHICS GAME OF THE WEEK (WEST OF THE TRINITY) DAYTON vs FRIENDSWOOD FRIDAY 7 PM This could easily be one of the top games in the Houston area. As a matter of fact it is the Chronicles High School Sports Game of the Week ([Hidden Content] ). Unfortunately for the Mustangs they will open their season against a Bronco team that is virtually firing on all cylinders. Last week BJ Jones almost had 100 yards rushing for the Broncos while Cody showed that he has more weapons to throw to besides AJ. The Broncos defense will feature blitz packages that keep the Mustang offense out of sync. The Cody to AJ air assault will continue as the Broncos establish themselves at the team to beat east of the Brazos River. I am trying to predict all the 19-4A and 20-4A teams this year. This week many of the games will be gut instinct. I hope my "magical mojo" is flowing this week like it was last week. This is a great Prediction. This is how it will end up. Both teams will put up more points than 24 to 20.

Too many.... Should be just two, but.... It's all about the kids. Four teams making the playoffs mean that more kids get another week of Friday Night Lights.

Lets have fun with this... Should be high scoring... What will the over under be on total points? I say..... 73 total points scored

If JK throws for 400 yards... Cody will throw for 500.... Both teams will be tough to stop... The difference will be the defense and which one can force the most punts. Dayton's overall defensive speed may be the edge. Hopefully this year the Broncos can finally outgun a team called the Mustangs.

As far as a 20-4A team making it to the semifinals like Dayton did last year... I don't think any of the 20-4A teams can do that. What will be interesting is.... For the last decade 20-4A has dominated over 19-4A in the first round. This year Dayton should easily take out any opponent they draw in the first round. After that all three remaining games should be close. Crosby vs PN-G (if they play) will be a good indicator of what might happen (still very early in the season and PN-G has lost most of this week in practice). Odds are that 20-4A might only have one or two teams left after the first round. I doubt 19-4A sweeps 20-4A but this would be the year it could happen.
