Central at Port Arthur Memorial THE PREDICTION Central is still trying to figure out what happened last year. Picked by many to win or get second in district, the Jaguars found themselves spectating at the playoffs. Both teams open the season with high hopes of making the playoffs. This game will be a close one in Port Arthur. A late fourth quarter score will put the Jaguars on top to stay in a football game that will feature many lead changes. The Jaguars growl returns while the Titans stumble across the finish line. Ozen has talent, but the key is to get the winning ways started. The Bruins will be too much for the Panthers. West Brook rolls to an impressive and easy victory with the 2nd string playing most of the fourth quarter. PN-G vs Barbers Hill THE PREDICTION After Friday the Eagles will have an ideal of how Custer felt at Bighorn. Look for an overflow Indian crowd and the never ending sound of Cherokee to boost the Indians past the Eagles. Likely to be a record attendance game for Barbers Hill football stadium. The Indians running game will not be stopped and a stingy Indian defense stimmies the Eagles offense. It will be a happy commute home back down I-10 for the Indian fans. That map is spooky... The low over sw louisiana is on September 2, is right when Gustav is supposed to there. The map was generated on August 26. Talk about long range forecasting.... Hope the storm goes west!

The west side will have gusty north winds. Anything east of Lake Charles and the triangle should be ok. coop... Any chance of the high pressure making this storm stall out when it gets over land? That would be the worst case scenario... Slow West movement after landfall!!

Hamshire Fannet might just take care of all that hot air! I got a feeling we might be getting some nice northerly winds early next week while Ray Nagin gets a second crack at Hurricane evacuation planning. Doesn't sound like they are going to let him throw a city wide hurricane party in the super dome. I've read where they will be bussing and using trains to get every one out. Seems like their new governor is on top of things.

The BH Freshman should be AWEsome. This is the best group for BH since the playoff team from 2 years ago (at least this is what I observe at the junior high games). The 8th grade bunch at BH is dynamite also! Just wondering.... Does any one from BH know if any of the freshmen might get a crack at varsity before the year is out? Good luck to the Eagles and the Indians, although my instincts are all purple in this one.
