One thing that must be learned through all of this is.... Don't lie to the federal government under oath.... My gut feeling tells me Roger is disremembering more than McNamee. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Story at.... [Hidden Content] It is pasted below.... HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There's a new development in the Roger Clemens steroids controversy. The Rocket could soon become the focus of a federal perjury investigation. The New York Times says the House Oversight Committee has drawn up a letter to the Justice Department asking for a criminal investigation into whether Clemens lied during a Congressional hearing. During the February 13th hearing, Clemens denied several claims by his former trainer Brian McNamee, including using steroids or human growth hormone and attending a party at the home of Jose Canseco. Nebraska beats No. 22 Texas A&M

The NCAA is slipping away quickly from the AG's. Might have been a one year novelty last year. It sure does look like the Aggies are returning to their normal basketball selfs. I would pick Baylor over A&M for the NCAA. -

Do you still get free chicken at Popeyes when Lamar breaks 100? I cashed in a couple of times on a leg and thigh meal when I was a student. CONGRATS CARDS!!! Keep on winning! -

Texas is peaking at the right time. Wonder if they get placed in the bracket that plays in Houston? -
#1 Memphis vs. #2 Tennessee/TENNESSEE WINS
PURPLE 4EVER replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
58% from the freethrow line for the season for Memphis. In the NCAA tourney, that stat will haunt Memphis. I wouldn't pick them to win it all. If Memphis shots over 70% from the line tonight, they win. -
They stopped playing in the 80's. As far as which program is better???? Liberty couldn't go to the playoffs 12 years in a row even if they are dreaming. The overall program at Dayton is much better. From Junior High up Coach Stewart and his staff have made Dayton into one of the premiere programs east of Houston. Coach Nations is a big part of that and Dayton is lucky to have him stay.

Regents Unanimously Approve Fee to Fund LU Football

I was on the sideline.... A double reverse pitch back pass was snuffed out... Shed Smith (the QB) was sacked and the upset chance was lost. Talk about a beautiful stadium. The field was like a putting green. Easily the best football field I have ever been on. -
Dayton used to be in Jaspers district when I was a junior high coach. I always enjoyed the long bus trip to Jasper because to be honest they had the friendliest coaching staff and the kids ALWAYS exhibited good sportsmanship. They won state in track in the 80's and the school district doesn't even have a track! Bond issues that involved building a track or expanding the football stadium were always voted down due to the sentiment... You won state without a track, why do we need to build one. Historically passing any bond issue in Jasper has been an uphill battle.

Football, not impressive at all. I'd rather not have a football team at BH. Those are words not spoken in Texas about high school athletics...

Where would you put the ribbon boards unless they are attached to the video board... Maybe hanging one on each end of the court above towards the back of the seating.

This is a must. America is a forgiving society. We all must remember that the steriod era is much larger than most people EVER thought. Roger and Bonds are the two biggest names of this era that were juiced, but they weren't the only ones. -
Whatever they do when they renovate Cardinal Stadium, it does need to naturally blend in with the Montagne. The red brick would be nice, if they can put a facade around Cardinal Stadium that would match. The white does look impressive (as long as it stays white).

Can't sit behind the visiting bench... This was posted on another thread... Talk about a lot of fond memories in that building. I was channel 4's fan of the year (86/87). I wore my dad's old Texaco hard hat (painted with red LU lettering), wore a nerf hoop cardboard backboard around my chest, and had a red and white checkerboard flag. During time outs they let me go up and down the aisles throwing my nerf ball to fans and having them shoot at my nerfhoop basket. During halftime they let me down on the floor. Talk about a lot of fun that year. We used to camp out for tickets to sit right behind the visiting team bench. We kept it clean, but talk about throwing insults at the opposing team for the whole game. I believe I gave Karl Malone a complex (which might explain his art at flopping). From what it sounds like this kind of student involvement is lacking at LU. I still have the hard hat, might be time this 15+ year graduate goes back and shows the kids how to be a REAL Lamar basketball fan! -
The Montagne Center looked so AWEsome from the outside when it was new. The white is now gray due to neighboring refinery. It would be nice if they could bleach or clean the exterior of the building when they redo the football stadium. Talk about a lot of fond memories in that building. Men produce testosterone naturally and it is at their highest levels when a man is in their twenties. So, for an athlete to have more success in his late 30's and 40's than he did in his twenties IS NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE without the use of performance enhancing drugs. My sentiments EXACTLY! As a former athletic trainer, it just doesn't add up when these baseball players are putting on this much muscle mass in their 30's. The sad thing about all this is what will happen to these baseball players (and any other athlete getting juiced with roids) in about 20 to 30 years. They really don't know all the long term consequences they are doing to their bodies. -
