Where will the soccer field go in? -
name one fat 50 year old smoker who has won a major... At 46 Nicklaus winning the Masters was one of the greatest accomplishments in sports. People underestimate how much practice it takes to do what these golfers are doing now.

Realignment of UIL a cause for confusion

We will all find out on Friday... Looks like Dayton will end up as Coach Stewart said (as the balancer). -
Your All Time Favorite LU Men's Basketball Coach?
PURPLE 4EVER replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Billy Tubbs is the only coach to get LU to the sweet 16. Abatemarco should give a powerful lesson to Lamar... Stay away from New Jersey coaches! Their accent just doesn't work in SE Texas. -
aTm/Baylor/BAYLOR WINS IN 5 OT'S
PURPLE 4EVER replied to bullets13's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Talk about a total collapse. They lose two straight road games, then lose at home to Baylor! -
That is what I was thinking... There must be lots of kids in the area around Central Mall that are going to NISD and PNISD even though they live in Port Arthur ISD. Just curious.... Will the new high school they are building have frontage access to HWY 69? It looks like it won't. If the only way to get into that school is on 9th Ave, talk about a traffic night mare. I would hate crossing 9th Ave while playing golf at the Babe during school hours. It might be like level 5 on Frogger.

Navigate to.... [Hidden Content] To view the links as well as updated information about the Dayton Bronco Friday Night Lights DVD. I have also created an all football collage. The first collage is designed to be printed out at 20 inches by 30 inches, and the all football collage is designed to be printed out at 16 inches by 20 inches. This week I finally finished duplicating over 150 DVD's for the high school students. The varsity football players, cheerleaders, and drill team all received a FREE copy of the Friday Night Lights DVD! Toups Graphics would like to thank all the coaches and sponsors that brought out the best from the Dayton High School students. A huge thanks also goes to the high school students involved each Friday night. The DVD's were given to them as a huge thanks for the many hours they put in after school during the fall semester. To view the last two chapters of the over 3 hour DVD go to... www.toupsgraphics.neptune.com The top highlights and top images video clips are worth the watch. The new collages are posted below. Enjoy....

To answer your qestion, the line runs 'south' of the mall on that street that runs between the banks and the mall. Then it goes through Stonegate which Blackberry is the divider. PA/PNG meanders between Lake Arthur appartments and the actual subdivision and your right, he could simply go down 9th Ave and attend PAM w/o penalty.... Thanks for the information.... It is hard to imagine that area in the 70's. There was NOTHING between twin city and HWY 69. Once you crossed twin city highway heading down HWY 365 there was a large tank farm and cow pasture as far as the eye could see as well as rice fields. Now it is just hard to imagine this with all the new houses, golf course, mall, and all the apartments.

I believe it the family physically moves to the new school district there is no penalty.
-
Where is the district line between PA and Nederland ISD at in the area of Central Mall? All his family has to do is maybe move down the street if they live in this area. I thought Central Mall was in Nederland ISD? If that is the case would the division line be Turtle Creek Drive or maybe even 75th street? It is kind of weird how the district lines are laid down between Port Neches, Nederland, and PA. They sometimes DON'T follow the city limits. When they started building all the apartments around Babe Zaharias I was told you had a choice of going to PA or Nederland, but I am sure that has changed. If the kid leaves in this neighborhood and his family lives in an apartment, he could physically move down the street and be in PAISD with NO PENALTY of having to wait out a year. Any one with knowledge of where the school district lines are in the area between Twin City and HWY 69 I would appreciate the sharing of this. It would seem like there are several quality athletes in this area that are within blocks of being in NISD, PAISD, or even PNISD.
Sorry, I know I'm about to make some people mad. But, this is ridiculous 4 teams in each district making the playoffs. What is this? Watered down the playoffs with bad teams. There will be several teams with losing records in the PLAYOFFS. Call me old fashion but until my senior year only one team made the playoffs. They should have kept it at two IMO.
Just think of the teams from the Beumont area that could have made the playoffs in the 70's if there were more than one team going. I agree, four teams is WAY to many.
-
If the district stays the same... Dayton should win again, they lost some key seniors, but so many juniors and sophomores played 15 games last season, plus Dayton's offensive and defensive lines will continue to add size and speed for at least the next 5 years (7th to 10th grade has some quality big linemen). The big question for the Broncos is who will the 2nd and 3rd receivers be. The Broncos will have to have a quality 2nd threat to punish teams that double and triple team AJ. Running back will also need to be a quality replacement. Cody and AJ should be the best two players on the field every time they play a district game. Can't wait to get the highlights going again. the 2nd to 4th place teams in no particular order could be.... Nederland, PN-G, and Central. Don't forget about Ozen, they started picking up at the end of the year. Lumberton lost so many key key playmakers. Will be interesting to see if they can continue what was started by a very very good group of senior players.

The Bulldogs missed out by one year.... They would have been the 4th place team and made the playoffs last year to keep their streak going, but.... it wasn't to be.... 4 teams going to the playoffs is a bit much. The fourth place team in many many districts will be toasted by the 1st place team in the first round of the playoffs. Some of those first round games could be very ugly. Just wondering... Who got 4th place in 21-4A???

Boy howdy I do I miss posting topics about the upcoming football games. All though I enjoy basketball and baseball and all the other sports, it just isn't the same as a football game played in front of packed stadiums seating 10,000. Anyways since the Bronco season ended I have been spending countless hours organizing and creating the videos that are on the Friday Night Lights DVD. This is what the following students at DHS will get from Toups Graphics.... Football Players - Friday Night Lights DVD a regular season game DVD, plus a playoff game DVD Cheerleaders and Drill Team - Picture CD (already passed out, they get my original images on CD for their personal use), and a Friday Night Lights DVD Band members will also get a Friday Night Lights DVD THESE TWO VIDEOS ARE FINALLY POSTED TO THE WEB.... Go to... www.toupsgraphics.neptune.com to see the top highlights and the top images from Bronco Football 2007. The image video clip is one of the best image slide shows I have done. The collage at the end of the videos will be available for sell. Talks will begin this week for selling the DVD to the general public. This will fund a "Friday Night Lights Always Believe in Yourself" scholarship that I have been dreaming of doing since I started videoing Bronco football for the last seven years. The top images video is also at.... [Hidden Content] The highlight video is too large to post at hsgametime.com. I will keep this forum posted on the sell of the DVD to the general public. Hopefully Dayton will be able to offer a worty Dayton student with a scholarship of at least 3 to 4 thousand dollars this year. Let me know what you think of the videos, and if you had to pick one highlight from the Bronco, to be video of the year, which one would it be?

****Charles leaving for NFL****
PURPLE 4EVER replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I don't think it's Colt McCoy... They are using the same offense they had when they had VY, and we all know Colt is no VY. Both Colt and Charles would have been better suited in an I formation. That said... GOOD LUCK TO CHARLES!!! I hope he goes in the first round. -
Your fondest memories of the season just past?
PURPLE 4EVER replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The noise from the crowd during the last two plays of that game are deafening. Watching the video of that game is "AWEsome". My favorite game was (for a PN-G grad) The Dayton vs Nederland game. Thanks to the Bulldog's new jumbotron we didn't get to see the Broncos make 9 touchdowns, they made 18 touchdowns including the replay. I don't think the Broncos could have played any better in that game. -

PURPLE 4EVER replied to ozensfinest's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Can anyone put up their grades? I know for Dayton, Aaron Jenkins and Tony Hill are sophomores. Isn't Bellows from Nederland a sophomore? Anymore sophomores or juniors on the list? -

What a great last 16 Fridays it has been. Congratulations to all the young men selected. They are truly the what Friday Night Lights is all about! Next Friday will feel so weird not being able to go watch the Broncos. -
I got the game video done Saturday morning, then I spent the rest of the weekend organizing and renaming all the pictures I took the last 15 Fridays. I also burned picture CD's for the cheerleaders and drill team. I used the best pictures to make the collage pictured below. If you go to.... www.toupsgraphics.neptune.com Then click on the FNL TOP PICS album, you can view the individual pictures that make up the collage, and even save them to your computer! For Dayton Bronco fans... If you are interested in ordering a poster size (16 by 24, 20 by 30, or 24 by 36) print pm me. ENJOY!

What a QB... LT was just better last night. I will have some video highlights including some "arrows" thrown by the LT QB. What a season. THANK YOU BRONCOS FOR A GREAT SEASON OF MEMORIES! Thanks SETX for having a great forum to come on and talk about football..... Kind of felt weird last Saturday... Usually while I am working on the video, I watch the 11 news, then at 9 oclock I change the channel to ESPN and watch college game day, Was sad that last Saturday there was no college game day.... All men everywhere only have about a month left then.... FOOTBALL WITHDRAWAL!

TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION ! ! !
PURPLE 4EVER replied to PURPLE 4EVER's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I was thinking the same.... The game was exactly reverse in what I thought would happen, maybe the mojo was... ojom :-\ Anyways.... The QB from Lake Travis was just AWEsome. Throwing arrows on out routes, and they really on had one miscue in the 1st half which resulted in the Bronco's last TD. After that we were playing catch up and our offense was just out of sync. The defense was just one step away from making big plays.
