Waller was unable to drive the ball over 60 yards and score. On the first fumbe in the 3rd quarter, if Dayton maintains possession in all likely hood Dayton drives the field and scores, the route is on. It is simply amazing that Dayton had 2 turnovers and only 4 offensive playes in the 3rd quarter and still won. Two dropped passes in the 4th quarter would have been TD's. Waller did dominate the yardage with the running game, but when given the length of the field to drive they came up scoreless. Give Waller credit for cashing in on the turnovers, something Texas City wasn't able to do. Another quarter like the 3rd quarter in the remaining games will probably end Dayton's season. All 4 remaining teams would be just great state champs. Very difficult to predict a winner from here on out. If it comes out to defense, you probably have to give the edge to Dayton. This is the first time since the LCM game that anyone has put over 2 TD's on Dayton.

I just started the 3rd quarter.... What a great game... Hopefully I got the 2nd big hit.

This will be the first spread attach Dayton has faced since the Nederland game. Will be an AWEsome game... The key.... Stopping the spread inside the 20. Looks like both teams will move the ball up and down the field, but scoring inside the 20 is when the spread usually stalls. You got to like the stats that the Dayton defense has put up all year. Waller got 21 points but never had a drive over 60 yards for points. Dayton can not have two or more turnovers and come up on top. What a game this will be. As mentioned earlier, there will probably be 100 points combined scored in this game.

This is the first game the Broncos were tested in since the L _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ game when the score was _ to 7... : After losing a 21 point lead after 3 turn overs the Broncos showed the heart of a champion by DOMINATING the 4th quarter. What a great game (except the 3rd quarter). Tell any coach that he only runs 4 offenses plays, gets 2 turnovers, and gets outscored 21 to 0 in the third quarter (Waller scored their last points right at the beginning of the 4th qtr), he will say he probably loses. Dayton came back and drove the ball twice in the 4th quarter eating up the clock and getting the go ahead TD... Back to editing the video... ALWAYS BELIEVE BRONCOS!

I GOT IT!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The Waller player was CLOCKED!!!! Almost at the end of the 1st quarter..... What an ubelievable catch for the 1st TD by #20.... RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA MAN! I don't see how he caught the ball!!

My classes made this sign for the game Friday. My first classroom rule is... "ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF" To hear the my former students at the game in the stands yelling this at me, well, that is more than any amount of $$$ I can receive on a paycheck. Having taught many of the players in the picture, THIS WILL GET BLOWN UP TO A POSTER AND BE IN MY CLASSROOM FOREVER! Way to go Broncos! THANKS TO THE CHEERLEADERS FOR PUTTING IT UP! KEEP ON BELIEVING BRONCOS!!!! ps..... 7:30 Friday at Kyle Field.... KA CHING..... Sounds like another 1 oclock early release on Friday!!! YEEE HAW!!!

As is the case in most big games like this... The best defense wins. I got to go with the Broncos with that one.... This will be the first passing team we will have faced since Nederland. You got to think that Coach Hancock and Stewart will find a way to slow them down. It is simply amazing that Dayton's QB simply doesn't have any pressure on him during the whole game! He really hasn't come close to getting sacked. If Greg has that kind of time in ANY game, Powell and Dugat WILL get open. I don't think any team that is left can match up on those two with quality corner backs.

Dayton runs 4 offenses plays in the 3rd quarter, giving up 2 fumbles deep in their field, drops 1 touchdown pass and another potential touchdown pass, and still manages to hold on.... Simply amazing..... The Dayton defense was on the field the whole 3rd quarter till the offense started firing in the 4th quarter, then on Waller's last position they come up big on a 4th down play. Wait till you see my game footage, and pictures. The game was practically a sell out. In the 3rd quarter there really wasn't any seats available on both sides and people were standing on the walkways. You got to feel for the Waller boys after they come back from being 21 down and tie it up when it looked like it was hopeless, but their defense just wasn't able to stop the Dayton offense in the 4th quarter. It's really ashame in a game like this while Dayton is experiencing the thrill of victory that the reversal is happening across the field. Waller has some really good players and to lose a game like this has got to hurt, but..... I AM SO GLAD DAYTON WON!!!! What a week it will be at Dayton High School next week! GEEEZZZZ IT'S 12:20 AM!!! Talk some more tomorrow morning! My videos should be posted around noon tomorrow.

If they pull Dayton out of 21-4A, then 22-4A has an odd number of teams, which the UIL doesn't like... Looks like by your numbers, one of the districts will have an odd number of teams.

I wish I could keep all of them on my neptune.com site, but I have a limit of 150 mb... Each clip is about 1 to 2 mb in size and then the highlight videos are over 10 mb. Wait till you see the openning of the DVD I am making for the kids. It will be just AWEsome.

Monday I got an email from the highschool asking me to make a video for the peprally. After 9 hours of work on Monday and Tuesday after school, the following 6 minute video is the result. FOURTEEN HOURS!!!! 840 minutes!!!! 50,400 SECONDS UNTIL THE VET APPOINTMENT!!! I hope the Broncos can avenge 22-4A and blow out another team. It has been 8 years since a 22-4A team got out of region. GOOD LUCK BRONCOS!!!

Nederland really needs to pass a bond for the far future.... Dayton failed to pass a bond in the mid 90's and the one that eventually passed was smaller. The resulting high school is already overcrowded. If the original bond would have been passed, the highschool would still be able to handle the number of students. It is just hard to get people on fixed incomes to vote to raise their taxes which is really money out of their pockets that they won't get back. GOOD LUCK NEDERLAND!!!! Think of the kids now and the future kids when you vote. You are investing in the future with a yes vote.

Central would really be a dark horse with a new coach... Central and Ozen will have the talent to be in the top three, but you just never know about the Beaumont schools. Nederland #2 might be a logical pick with their QB returning. If Dayton stays you really got to pick them #1 at preseason. They have lots of sophomores and juniors getting a lot of experience these last few weeks.

At least we aren't playing a team called the mustangs.... The Broncos are pretty experienced for the last two years at beating a team called the Bulldogs.... I think after tonight, the Waller coach may be saying that the Dayton coaches were a little better. It sure is amazing how the Dayton defense is shutting down all their opponents. This will be the first time we have played a "veer" type of offense, but looking at what we have done lately, I believe the Dayton coaches have coached the boys to handle it. I wonder if they got some college players to play on the scout team so the Broncos can get used to tackling someone that looks like his at least 25.... Good Luck Broncos!

Interesting story... How would you like to have your cinderella story ended by a coach that you coached.... Beat that was kind of wierd. Hopefully we will have some Lumberton fans in the stands rooting for the Broncos tonight. Gosh.... After seeing the picture of that Waller running back..... Hopefully the Broncos are up to the task tonight against the "men" from Waller. GO BRONCOS!!!

SOMETHING ELSE WE DIDN'T SEE THIS WEEK.... Not one Raider fan typed the numbers 8 to 7...... Can you imagine the activity at this site if the Rocky Balboa vs Apollo Creed rematch would have taken place.... I guess right in 24 hours I will be driving back from west Houston... GOSH... I hope it is a joyous ride!!! GO BRONCOS!!! I can't imagine what is going through the minds of the young kids still playing. Tomorrow and Saturday will be a huge day for all the young men still playing. Good luck to all the kids, I hope they play the best they can.
