In three playoff games the combined score is... Dayton 132 Opposition 17 What another great win for Dayton. The JV plays the whole 4th quarter, and scores a TD while maintaining the shutout. Dayton continues to roll and the offense is a finely tuned machine, while the defense just doesn't break. It will be an exciting week next week in DISD!!!

Amen and Amen..... Lumberton can lay claim to two great feats this year... They are the only team to beat Dayton in 22-4A, and they knocked out the defending state champs. Great season Lumberton! To all the high school players and students... You really don't realize how much you have impacted your community and school district. There are HUNDREDS of little kids in elementary that have seen you compete and win in the playoffs. They will never forget this. They are now more proud to be Raiders than ever before. I am 41 years old and I still remember the Indian football players from the 1970's when I was in elementary. You have started something in Lumberton that you can be so proud of. To all the returning players next year.... You need to do everything you can to build on this season. Hit the weight room hard and keep on believing! My gut tells me Dayton will not be in 22-4A next year and the much awaited rematch may not ever occur. Hold your heads up high. No matter how your season ended you are all champs to all of us! I've heard the same thing.... I have also heard that Saturday is the likely day and not Friday. There really isn't anything between Lumberton and Dayton. Lamar is not a turf field. REGION III SEMIFINALS PICKS Livingston (10-2) vs. Dayton (9-3): The most interesting thing about this matchup might be the fact that neither of these two teams have had a close game yet in the playoffs -- both have scored 40+points in each of their games, and neither have allowed a team to score more than 13 yet. Speaking of that, Dayton's defense has been practically impenetrable this season, allowing just over eight points per game. Senior QB Gregory Charles and the Broncos' passing offense were magnificent last week against Texas City ... which finished the season ranked No. 13 in our Top 25. That's evidence enough for us; Dayton moves past Livingston, 42 - 21. Waller (9-3) vs. Lumberton (11-1): This is one of the round's most difficult games to predict. Waller probably has the best player in QB Jeremy Phillips (committed to UNT), who has had a solid playoffs, but Lumberton has the more impressive season ... especially after they knocked off former state champ La Marque in the second round. Waller didn't look terribly impressive against Houston Yates last week, whereas Raiders' QB Bryce DeJohn and RB Cody Hussey are both coming off of solid regional quarterfinal performances. I like the Lumberton tandem to lead the Raiders to a 24-14 upset victory. ;D ;D

It's really AWEsome to see what a winning highschool football program can do for community pride in Texas. Enjoy all of this for what it is worth Lumberton! This is really great for your community. Just go ask the Texas City coaches how many points they think Livingston will score? Texas City got 4 turnovers yet only managed 10 points. Livingston will be lucky to match what Texas City did.

The game to probably be at will be the WOS game. The Lumberton game may be a ball game in the 2nd half. If any game is a blow out it will be the Broncos stampeding the Lions.
