GAME LOCATION AND TIME????? Anyone hear yet?

Excellent way to make ammends to the football widow.... Pump up the NFL all star game all season.... Keep telling the wife how important the game is and that all the stars play in it. Then.... A week before the game plan a romantic get away weekend. Tell the wife how proud of her you are for putting up with your football "addiction" and that you will make ammends by not even watching or talking about the last game of the season. Make an annual tradition of this, and presto.... You now have some "leverage" on your football watching addiction, as long as you miss the "very important" all star game every year! ;D I heard of this on a talk radio show.... The answer.... #1 Dayton - 1 + 18 = +17 #2 Lumberton +1 - 7 = - 6 #3 PN-G + 7 - 18 = - 11 The only FAIR way to break a 3 way tie is with a point spread system. Lumberton is very lucky it isn't playing when only 1 team went to the playoffs, because if only one team would have gone, it would have been the Broncos.

The stadium probably holds about 5,000. There was a little more than that there tonight. There was a lot less on the Crosby side at the end of the 3rd quarter ;D

A Bronco win here will be huge.... Can't wait for my "magical mojo" to guide me on my score prediction. I have usually been pretty close to the Bronco score. This will be our biggest test. This will be the quickest team we have played so far, but this Bronco team is much better than the one that lost to Texas City last year. I don't know if Texas City is that much better. Dayton's JV played a lot of the 4th quarter. Their JV offense actually scored a TD. The Cougars sole TD given up was a long pass play against mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers in. I thought for a moment that the Broncos might actually start putting in the Ponies (the junior high football team). Can't wait to see the offensive and defensive stats for this game.... The Broncos just keep getting better and better. Once again, since the Lumberton game, the Dayton offense has scored a TD on thier first possession. That is 7 games in a row scoring a TD right off the bat. Greg Charles is still red hot hitting deep routes. John Gable is getting stronger and stronger. My friend had a picture of him running with SEVEN cougars trying to tackle him. This is the big week for the Dayton team. The winner of the Texas City - Dayton game might get out of the Houston area. Will the Broncos get over half a hundred.... If the Bronco offense is still hitting on all cylinders along with a strong defensive performance, it will bode well for the Broncos going into week 2.

The Reservation has one of the largest home sides in this part of the state. Although nice, Galena Parks stadium holds right at 10,000. PN-G home side seats 7,500. If Galena Park doesn't take the crowd out of the game like Dayton did in the 2nd quarter, the Reservation is a hostile place to play. Look for Cherokee to be played over and over in this game. The Indians win by at least two touchdowns and maybe even three.

It won't take much to pack Crosby stadium Dayton's new home side seats just as much as the entire Crosby stadium Should be a packed house. Kick off is in about 49 hours.... Should be an absolutely beautiful evening to have a football game!!!

There is absolutely NO WAY Crosby scores 36 points on the Dayton defense. They will be lucky to get two touchdowns, much less one. If they have a kicker that can kick 50 plus yard fieldgoals it would help. In the last 6 games a total of 20 points has been allowed, four of the games were shut outs.

Why would the UIL put Dayton into 22-4A instead of Barbers Hill??? I heard Galena Park really wanted us out of 21-4A. Looking at what happened last week, it looks like 22-4A will be happy to have Dayton and Barbers Hill swapped. Guess we just have to wait until February to find out.

This is the way the teams "should have" been ranked according to the rules agreed to on Thursday. When you have a three way tie, the only FAIR way to do it is on a point system that compares what the three teams did against each other. Does it make sense to have.... 1. Westbrook 2. Lumberton 3. Dayton 4. PN-G when PN-G beat Lumberton? That's not fair to PN-G is it... Obviously these rankings DON'T matter. What matters is that from this week on at least one of the Beaumont area schools starts a 5 or six game winning streak! We need one of our schools this year to get to at least the semifinals.
