  1. The season ends next week with four pretty interesting games. LC-M at Vidor Who will lose and end up in last place? Central and Ozen at Cardinal Stadium The battle of Beaumont has turned into the battle for 5th place. Ozen is playing their best football of the season, meanwhile the Jaguars come in on a three game losing skid. Nederland at Lumberton This will be the biggest home game for Lumberton in like FOREVER! Beating Dayton at the beggining of the season was big, but if they lose this game the whole season cold go down the toilet and into the septic. The Bulldogs are coming of Neuman's worst loss ever. Can the Dogs recover after getting not just neutered, but castrated by the Broncos? What a game this will be. PN-G at Dayton This will likely be for the District championship. Last night the Indians kept feeling the ground shake under the Reservation. The shaking was the stampeding Broncos down the road at Bulldog Stadium. If Dayton repeats it's performance of last night, it will be a very very long night for the Indians. This will likely be the largest ever crowd to watch a football game in Liberty county. Talk about four AWEsome games! Will be difficult to go 4 and 0 next week in the predictions... What is your vote for game of the week! All games really have meaning!
  2. The only thing that could have made the 63 to 0 beating of the Bulldogs any better for me, would have been for the Bronco band to play Cherokee in the third quarter as all the Bulldog fans were leaving. CONGRATS PNG ON WINNING THE LAST GAME AT THE RESERVATION!!!! Can't wait to hear Cherokee next week, even though I just don't see the Indians beating my Broncos.
  3. I have been videoing Dayton for the last five years. This is the BEST I game I have ever seen the Broncos play. This bunch of kids is the real deal. When these juniors and seniors were in 7th and 8th grade they swept LaMarque and Texas City. Losing Cody Green really hurt this team. Then when we played Lumberton, the Raiders figured out how to keep us out of the endzone. You really want your team to peak at the end of the year heading into the playoffs, and right now I don't think there is any team 4A or below east of Houston that could take on the Broncos the way they played. This is the first game that Greg Charles (Dayton's QB) really took over with the passing game. He was sharp and finally started hitting his receivers on the 20 yards and longer routes. Dayton's running back (John Gable) was a beast. Several plays he carried Bulldog tacklers 5 yards and more before he was put down. Then the defense.... OMG... That was the single greatest total domination of a team I have ever seen. Nederland, never crossed the 50 yard line and I think only crossed their 40 yard line once. Will be some interesting practices this week at Nederland. Can they recover from this kind of beating. As far the Indians... Stopping their running game is the key. Look for the Broncos to put 8 players in the box and dare the Indians to throw it. Just ask the Bulldogs how good Dayton's secondary is. Will get the highlights up around 11 AM tomorrow. Almost every play was a highlight for the Broncos, offensively and defensively. This post is already too long... Talk back later!!!!
  4. This will be a game for the books. A very historic field and stadium will see it's last game. So many memories. The new and improved Reservation will be the premiere place to play next year. Every kid in SE Texas who gets a chance to play in the new stadium next year will be a lucky individual. I hope from Bulldog Stadium tonight as I am videoing a the Broncos, that I hear the echoes of Cherokee from the Reservation.
  5. Wish I could be in both places, but this is the next best thing.... Going to get the pregame meal and take it to Port Neches Park. Eat supper by the river then on the way to Bulldog stadium drive by the Reservation to get one last look. Travel across the tracks to Nederland and watch the Broncos stampede tonight! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE PLAYERS AND COACHES! Should be an AWEsome night for Friday Night Lights!!!
  6. KILLER PREDICTIONS VS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS KILLER PREDICTION Dayton 27, Nederland 17 FEARLESS PREDICTION Dayton 30, Nederland 14 KILLER PREDICTION PN-G 21, Central 6 FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G 28, Central 7 KILLER PREDICTION Lumberton 30, LC-M 13 FEARLESS PREDICTION Lumberton 35, LC-M 14 KILLER PREDICTION Vidor 20, Ozen 16 FEARLESS PREDICTION Ozen 21, Vidor 7 Pretty close predictions aren't they, with the exception of the Vidor Ozen game. SUMMARIZING AND GETTING THE POINT SPREADS.... Dayton +13 over Nederland PN-G +18 over Central Lumberton +19 over LC-M and.... Ozen +10 over Vidor.... What team beats the spreads... I see Nederland and Vidor as having the best shots. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Play your hardest!!! Every play is a battle that must be won by the individual first for the team to succeed!
  7. I can see a player doing that (even though it is wrong), but a coach doing that, he should be reprimanded somehow.
  8. There are many Bulldog fans saying that the Nederland receivers can't be covered. I got a strong feeling that the person with the most offensive yards receiving and rushing won't be a Bulldog, but it will be AJ Dugat. If AJ gets into the secondary with the ball it is just about over. Lumberton was lucky he was at QB the night we played them. Their D Line did a fantastic job containing him. You can't do that when he is playing receiver. If you do overload some players to cover him, that opens up the other great Bronco receivers. Nederland's passing offense may be good, but Dayton will certainly be able to match up. And if it comes down to defenses... The stats just show that the Broncos have been the better defensive club over the course of the year. Once the ball is kicked off the stats become meaningless, the team that executes better, and occasionaly gets the right bounce of the ball will win this game. What a football game this will be... I can't wait till tomorrow. Seeing AJ's touchdown runs and receptions on the replay jumbotron will top off the evening!
  9. Lumberton doesn't need to get help from Nederland. They just need to worry about winning their last two games. For any of the four teams the secret is... Win out and you are in!!
  10. For sure.... This has to be Myers favorite week!!!
  11. Playoffs start this week... How true how true... This should be one great ball game! It is unfortunate that with the thrill of victory, there will be one team suffering the agony of defeat. Hopefully both teams play the best they can, there are no controversial rulings, and in the end the team that plays the best wins. Can't wait till Friday night. The weather should be as spectacular as the game. Will be a great night to experience Friday Night Lights.
  12. Only 2 days till kick off.... Just wondering... How soon will construction start. I might stop by Friday afternoon to get one last look, before going over to Bulldog Stadium. Good luck to the Indians Friday. Hopefully the last game at the current Reservation will be one for the memory book. Any more readers with memories you would like to share.
  13. I think the Nederland Dayton game, being played at Bulldog Stadium is virtually a pick em game. If either teams win this, it really isn't an upset. Both teams have very similar talent levels. The team that executes the best should win.
  14. Lets compare common opponents. Nederland 35 LC-M 7 Dayton 49 LC-M 14 Nederland 28 Vidor 7 Dayton 33 Vidor 0 Nederland 31 Ozen 14 Dayton 33 Ozen 0 Nederland 40 Central 29 Dayton 20 Central 0 Nederland has the advantage in points allowed only in the LC-M game. Dayton has three shut outs, Nederland none. Getting a shut out at the varsity level isn't easy, and Dayton has done it for the hat trick. Saying that Nederland's offense will go up and down the field and score, it just won't happen. No one has done that in district play. Dayton's defense wins this game. I see the Bulldog's getting one or two touchdowns, and Dayton's offense a little more than that.
  15. Still.... 72 points in a quarter.... Wonder if they ran the clock after that... 72 points is about 10 touchdowns. That is a touchdown every 72 seconds in a 12 minute quarter. Pretty impressive even if it is at junior high level....
  16. Sure is nice noticing the team from south east Texas that is on top of that list.... Hopefully one of the teams from 22-4A can get some playoff magic and make a run to the finals.
  17. VIDOR AT OZEN The Pirates will sail their sinking Black Pearl to "Harvard on the Neches" to take on the Panthers. The aroma from the sulfuric acid plant will be as unpleasant as the season has been for the Pirates. The Pirates have played two excellent games, but the Panthers are getting better and better also. The smell of the sulfuric dioxide won't slow down the Panthers as they play four good quarters and keep the Pirates winless. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PANTHERS 21 PIRATES 7
  18. CENTRAL AT PN-G Central's playoff hopes were finally buried last week when they got shut out by the Broncos. Meanwhile in Vidor the Indians escaped with a win to remain unbeaten in district. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, who may be hoping to get an upset, this will be the last game played in the current Reservation. Look for the Jaguars to be buried by the tide of emotion and momentum as the Indians defend their home field for the last time. This game could turn ugly for the Jaguars if they throw in the towel. Look for the Indians to churn out over 250 yards of rushing offense. The Jaguars won't get shut out two games in a row, but they won't be able to score enough to keep pace with the Indians. Cherokee plays over 50 times in the last game at the current Reservation as the Indians remain perfect in district. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION INDIANS 28 CENTRAL 7
  19. GAME OF THE WEEK DAYTON AT NEDERLAND The Broncos travel to Nederland to take on the one loss Bulldogs. The best defense will win this game. Both teams run similar offenses, so what defense will step up and slow down the other team. The key stat of this game is points allowed in district (similar opponents). Nederland has allowed 95 points while Dayton has allowed only 21. This stat isn't even close and should close all debate on what team has the best defense. Dayton's defense will slow down the Bulldogs enough for the Bronco offense to score enough points to take this game. This game will not be a good memory for the Bulldogs. Losing twice at home to teams wearing purple and white won't settle easy on the stomach for the fans of black and gold. At least the Bulldogs won't have to listen to Cherokee every time the Broncos get a first down or score. This game will settle all debate, PURPLE AND WHITE ON A FIELD OF GREEN, THE PRETTIEST SIGHT YOU'VE EVER SEEN! TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION BRONCOS 30 BULLDOGS 14
  20. LUMBERTON AT LC-M This is a year that the Bears do not want to remember. They still are winless this year in district. The Raiders are just two wins away from getting into the playoffs for the first time EVER! An upset here would be devastating for the Raiders. Look for the Raiders to head toward the Sabine River and take the BOJO out of the Bears once again. The Raiders won't look past this game and will win big. 21. Who will win this Friday.... Check out below for the "FEARLESS PREDICTIONS!" Good luck to all the players and coaches, no matter what side of the pick you are on. There are two games left for five of the teams in 22-4A. Make the best of the time you have left on the field. Friday night should be another spectacular night to play football. A glorious sunset at kick off should set the tone for some great games! The predictions can also be read at.... [Hidden Content] Now then.... The Fearless Predictions... DISTRICT 22-4A WEEK 6 TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS! Toups Graphics has accurately predicted the winners for the last two weeks. Can he go for the hat trick and get three weeks in a row? 22. Way to break down the numbers Mike. To me the defensive points allowed are the key stat going into this game. Also interesting that shutting out Central is not something that is easy to do.
  23. About two weeks ago, I had a feeling #19 would be the way it would finish up. WOS87 is a prime example of why... MATH gives you.... MORE POWER!!!! Excellent job WOS87!!!
  24. Knowing the young lady isn't hurt.... It doesn't help the image of blondes to have one go in front of a banner that is about to get run through. Another blond moment!
