BH's last really good team was the one that lost to Central in bidistrict (I believe 2006).  The talent pool after that season really ran dry and the level of competition in 4A eventually led to Price ending up in Hamshire Fannet.  Gage does have better talent to work with (lots in the freshmen and sophomore class).  Unfortunately for BH fans, they are still a step behind the Broncos (just looking at head to head games from 7th grade up).  BH will get better, but still won't have enough oomph to make a playoff run, unless they get seeded like the 24-4A teams did this year with bye weeks playing HISD schools.

Is Tim Wright a for sure no go today.

I am leaving a little before 11. The trip should take right at an hour. [/quote]The teams are ranked by who is the last one playing.  Crosby won bidistrict and Livingston lost bidistrict, by default, Crosby is ranked ahead of Livingston.  Notice that of the 4 teams that lost bidistrict, Livingston is ranked the highest.

I think the heavy favorite to win it all is Aledo. As a Bronco fan, DON'T EVEN THINK that far ahead!  One game at a time.  This Saturday the Broncos skin the Cougars, or as one of my students said, what is up with all these cat nicknames.  The last few games Dayton has beaten the Panthers, Lions, Panthers, and Cougars.  Now we get to crush some more Cougars.

Friday Night will be a lot worse than Saturday night.

I don't know who is worse... Friendswood Fan or HUM398 Both are obnoxious, teen age minded, high school football fans. At least one of them will be terminated this week. Who is the lesser of the two evils? Give credit to them, both support very good high school football teams. I got to go with Friendswood in this one.  It is just really hard to stop a good spread offense in high school.  Friendswood does it better than any one around here in 4A.

I wonder if this has ever happened.  Since the UIL went to 4 teams in the 4A and 5A playoffs, has a district sent four teams into the quarterfinals?  Total domination if that were to happen. If I had to rate the games in which 24-4A would lose... #1 Dayton over Lamarque  (Dayton is firing on all cylinders) #2 PN-G over Manvel (Speed of the game might overwhelm the Indians, if PN-G stays close going into the 4th quarter, it will be a toss up) #3 Humble over Friendswood (Humble might be the best team playing 24-4A this week, but Friendswood is the best from 24-4A) #4 Montgomery over Dawson (I see Dawson taking this one, if Dobbins has a good game, it will be good news for Montgomery). Should be four great games.
