  1. The results are at... [Hidden Content] Finished the last week going 5 and 3 (missed the Ozen, Barbers Hill, and PN-G victories). GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE PLAYOFF TEAMS, and for the rest of the players, thanks for another fantastic high school football season!  NO HURRICANES AND what an October of Friday Nights we had, just beautiful weather each and every weekend.

[/quote] This years Bronco team (while not having the Likes of Cody and AJ) have a broader range of weapons, and the offensive and defensive lines IMO are better.  The defense this year is probably a half step quicker than the 08's defense.
  3. If any of you can find a 2010 4A playoff bracket with the teams please post the link in this thread.  Trying to update my website, all I can find is 2009 brackets.  THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK WOS GRAD!  Yall are doing a great job of keeping us informed.

[/quote] It starts at the Parents I would put the whole thing on the coach [/quote]That is odd, usually the kids from Barbers Hill behave AWEsomely.  I really enjoy watching the Eagle athletes, from 7th grade up they give their all.  Hopefully the coach corrected the situation and the parents were contacted.  On the other hand, I am "sure" the kids from Crosby didn't start anything...  Congrats to the Barbers Hill Junior High, they won three of the four games against the Ponies.  That is the first time that has happened since we started playing each other again.  In case any of you haven't seen the 8th grade Ponies, THEY ARE FOR REALLY REAL!  A lot of speed and size on that team.

  7. PN-G!!!!! Nothing beats a Friday Night Lights game with PN-G!!! Hearing Cherokee and seeing the Marching I on Friday would be AWEsome!!! Watching the Broncos stampede a 20-4A opponent "again" would be PRICELESS!  even if PN-G is my alma mater. If Nederland beats LC-M, Central beats PN-G, and Livingston beats Vidor, we play PN-G.

I have just finishing making the 2010 highlight video of the first nine games to show at my son's birthday party this weekend (he is going to have a lot of the varsity players over).  Anyways....  The defensive highlights are really AWEsome.  The defense has gotten better each game.  There are so many turnover highlights.  The Broncos had a tough time of fumbling during the first three games, but since then the Bronco defense is really causing chaos. In regards to the seconday, I believe it is very difficult for a high school secondary to shut down a good passing team (even the pros have a hard time shutting down a QB like Peyton Manning).  Against Crosby Merka was able to connect on three long passes, but our secondary player had very tight coverage, they were just great passes. Offensively... GEEZZZZ!!  I have part of the video that shows all the TD's this year.  It takes over 10 minutes to watch all the Bronco TD's.  The Broncos offense is cranking out TD's, most of them in two or three quarters in each game.  The level of competition in 19-4A isn't good, but the Broncos are hammering the opponent.  Can't wait for the players to see the video.  It will be good for them to see all these AWEsome plays the week that the playoffs start.  They have really improved during the course of the year.  I would predict that if Ryan McBride gets over 100 yards of rushing in the playoffs, the Broncos would beat whoever they play.

Just an unfortunate way the physics of falling down in that tackle went that caused the fracture.

[/quote] They mean you're ranked whatever it says you're ranked.  It says that people have gotten together and placed their votes and they think you're a top team in the state if you're listed.  It's a sign of respect, and it shows the kids that hard work pays off.  Even next week, it will mean the same thing.  That doesn't change.  Ya, if you lose, you're out, but rankings will still be rankings.  Rather your team is ranked, or the team you're playing is ranked, it makes things alot more interesting.  BTW, congratulations to Central.  You guys suffered a pair of early losses to 5A school, but have since fought your way back.  Central started the season at #38, but with one game to go, they are 1 spot away from breaking into the top 10. [/quote]Bet you would feel pretty silly to be ranked #1 but lose in the first round of the playoffs.  I would rather go into the playoffs unranked and when a few games than be in the top 10 but be one or two and out.

This will be a very good game.  Still don't know which way I will pick.  Was hard to tell how good Barbers Hill was against Dayton, they just made too many mistakes and couldn't get anything going.  Crosby did have a few drives where they got three first downs on Dayton, but couldn't punch it in for a TD.  I believe Merka will be the best football player on the field.  If he has a big game look for Crosby to take it.
  16. The average 19-4A Bronco score is Dayton 50 19-4A opponent 6 for an average victory of 44 points. Questions is, will the Broncos maintain that margin of around a 6 touchdown victory margin? Not even Vegas gives a team 42 points, would you give CE King 42 points and take the Broncos?

  19. Saw Jakari yesterday evening.  He is in very good spirits. I told him that he now had a bionic leg and that next year he would get the Steve Austin sound affects on his TD runs.  He obviously looked bewildered, but his mom just laughed and laughed. The script will go.... Jakari Delasbour, a Bronco who can't stampede anymore. Gentleman, we can rebuild him, we can make him faster and stronger. Jakari Delasbour the BIONIC BRONCO!!!

PN-G's division I or division II status is linked to the Bulldogs (who have a larger enrollment).  If the Bulldogs win, PN-G is division II.  If Livingston also wins, PN-G will be Division II seed 2. If LC-M wins, Nederland is out, and PN-G will be division I. And.... If PN-G can win, they will avoid any scenario that would put them against Dayton in the first round.  If PN-G can win against Central and the Bulldogs win, they will be one of the top two or three schools on their side of the bracket to get to quarterfinals in the division II playoffs.  Looking at it from an Indian's fans perspective, I believe they would rather have the scenario of beating Central and having the Bulldogs win.  That would place them in the best part of the playoff bracket.

I believe, if Livingston makes the playoffs, PN-G will be the #2 seed (assuming Central beats PN-G).  If PN-G wins, they will be the #1 seed.  Thinking about it, there is a lot on the line for PN-G.  If they go into the playoff bracket as the #1 seed, that side of the bracket is pretty soft.  The winner of the 19-4A and 20-4A might just have two more pretty easy playoff games.
