As for the posts about me taking shots at the kids. I would never do that.  I am taking shots at the "attitude" that exists at "Barbers Hill" the COMMUNITY. NOBODY can deny the pride and dedication that the kids from Barbers Hill exhibit for the school when they take part in athletic contests.  It is a true attribute to that community when the kids are that devoted to succeeding.  However, when this goes overboard, and the ADULTS teach the kids that their neighbors to the north are "not equal"  (A degree from Barbers Hill high school is worth more than one from Dayton), well, maybe the Bronco football team beat down did a number on that "overboard" attitude.

"Dayton still can't get any love in 4A. We will show yall!!!!!" Dayton has lost three games and won't stand a chance of being state ranked. It sure does look like Dayton will be paired against Brenham in round 2. The winner of that game stands an excellent chance of playing in the semi-finals and just by attrition being one of the last eight teams left in division I and II combined.

I think this thread should keep going until the Eagles score 54 points in their first basketball game. Then EVERYONE will know for sure that.... THE HILL IS FOR REAL!!!

This will be a good game. If Crosby can't slow Galena Parks offense the Cougars will be in trouble. I don't see the Cougars outscoring the Yellow Jackets in a shoot out. If the Yellow Jackets can get to 35 points, look for them to take out the Cougars.

All goes to show everybody that the first three games mean NOTHING!  Both Central and Dayton were 0 and 2 after there first two games and everybody was counting them out.  Lo and behold, it is actually pretty smart playing better teams, they get your players used to the game being played at a much quicker speed.  When district comes, the games slow down, and the cream comes to the top.  My big suprise in 20-4A is PN-G.  #2 suprise is Vidor being 2 and 1.  I still have... #1 Central #2 Livingston #3 LC-M #4 Nederland

Baytown Lee didn't offer much resistance, but.... This was one of Dayton's best games in a long time. The offense scored a TD every time they had the ball in the first half. Baytown Lee ends up the game with ONLY 40 yards of offense. A very dominating performance by the Broncos.

As far as the smack on this thread... It was started by a BH poster. Ask any student in Dayton HS of all the smack the BH students were throwing out before the football game, no different than the adults on this site (like father like son).  Even the BH coaches were talking smack before the game. Leave it to the Dayton Broncos to teach something that Barbers Hill needs a serious lesson in... HUMILITY! Humility is taught in the form of Dayton showing Barbers Hill who runs the town when it comes to the one sport that matters.  FOOTBALL. Pride in your school is great, and the kids from Barbers Hill excel at this (which is a good thing).  But when you start thinking that the world rotates around the Hill, that is when it gets overdone. As one of my Inspired Phrases states... WINNING PRODUCES CONFIDENCE AND LOSING PRODUCES CHARACTER.  A TRUE CHAMPION HAS BOTH CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER. Everybody hates to lose a contest, but the lessons you learn from a loss may just in fact have more meaning in the long run.

The Central vs LCM game and the Nederland vs Livingston games should both be AWEsome games. If Nederland can't slow down the Lions running machine, that game could be over with by the end of the 3rd quarter.  I see the Central vs LC-M game going down to the wire.

Should be a great game tonight! Good luck to both teams. I got to believe BMT Soulja's dancing at the end of the game after the Jaguars go to 3 and 0 in district will be the best part of the evening!

Will.... The Broncos crack 50 points for the third straight week??? GO BRONCOS!

On the way to the game tonight, while travelling down HWY 146 through BH all the Bronco fans need to travel 54 MPH to remind us of the 54 reasons why the hill is for real!

[/quote] Dayton is NOT in the Beaumont media coverage, but Newton and Jasper are, if you live in Newton or Jasper counties your local TV coverage is from the Beaumont stations.  As stated over and over, Dayton is in no man's land with media coverage.  If we were in 20-4A at least the Beaumont stations would come to our district home games to get highlights, the problem is, we couldn't see them unless you have an antenna to pick up the Beaumont stations.  As for a houston station coming out to Dayton to cover a district game, FORGET IT!  We don't exist in the Houston TV coverage in district, only when there aren't enough teams to cover in the playoffs, is when Dayton gets some media coverage.
