If Dayton and Galena Park were to switch schedules, GP would have been obliterated and would have been 0 and 3.  Dayton would have great offensive stats playing the HISD 4A school Galena Park played.

You must have used my rankings.... That is the way I have the top 4. Will be interesting to see how Galena Park and North Forest do the first couple of games. Those two teams could do some damage to 19-4A teams.

here is a real easy formula.... For ANY high school football game (freshmen, jv, or varsity) DAYTON SCORE > BH SCORE This formula will be proved correct starting Thursday evening. ps... I do what I do on Fridays for the kids. All of this is about the kids, and isn't it nice to know that I could walk up to practically any high school student in Dayton (even those I didn't teach) and they know my first classroom rule. Are at... [Hidden Content] My Power Rankings are below the Previews. Not easy ranking the teams, in 20-4A there will be a log jam for 3rd and 4th place.  I see every team (except Vidor) with a shot.  In 19-4A who knows.  I still think Dayton and Crosby return to their winning ways but 3rd and 4th place?  Looks like from what I have read and heard that the Patriots might be playing worse right now.  The rest of the teams still have a shot (including North Forest). Regardless of where your team is ranked (or isn't) enjoy the 1st week of district play!

Of course we can all learn a lot about the greatness of Barbers Hill football. The third Tuesday of each month the AARP club meets to talk about the times when Barbers Hill football actually won playoff games. I think Dayton might be down a little, they played a very good Cunningham team in the first round.  Cunningham is the major feeder junior high into North Shore. In another thread you can read about Dayton's 8th A team that obliterated Cunningham.  That was Cunningham's 8th A Team's 1st loss in 15 years! Sounds like Nederland and WOS has some good 8th graders, just seeing what I have seen, I would put my money on Dayton's 8th graders to beat anybody around here.

Sounds like de je veux in Barbers Hill. Must be just awful suffering from severe Dayton ENVY! All I know is in just 8 days and 6.25 hours from this typing, the woodshed beating begins at Bronco stadium.  Besides those stripes on the Eagles uniforms there might also be about two dozen hoof prints on each jersey after getting stampeded by the Broncos. That is 198.25 hours away... Tick Tock Tick Tock....
