Don't have a good sense of the winner yet, but this will be one of the harder games to predict. This game should go down to the wire.

The largest concentration of restaurants in Conroe is located by the stadium at the intersection of the North Loop 336 and I-45. For a larger selection when you get to the loop in Conroe, head south to I-45 and go down to the Woodlands which is about eight miles south.  You will find any restaurant there that floats your boat along I-45 by the Woodlands Mall.

Thirteen 19-4A and 20-4A games will take place in week 2. One game will feature 19-4A vs 20-4A with 20-4A leading the head to head with a 4 and 0 record. This week could be SETX takes on Houston ISD and the surrounding Houston area. The Houston area opponents are Manvel, Rosenberg, Houston Sharpstown, Houston Furr, Houston Sterling, Houston Washington, Conroe Caney Creek, Pearland Dawson, Texas City, Angleton, and Galveston Ball. Who will it be... Right now the standings are... #1 Galena Park 2-0 CE King 1-1 North Forest 1-1 and then.... Barbers Hill 0-2 Crosby 0-2 Lee 0-2 Memorial 0-2 Dayton 0-1 Who will the last team be that finally gets a "w". This week Barbers Hill plays Nederland, Crosby takes on Pearland Dawson, Lee battles Terry, Memorial takes on Manvel, and Dayton plays Angleton. All 5 teams from 19-4A could be considered as the underdogs with Dayton maybe getting the nod in a very good contest against Angleton.

101 to 28... That is a typical point total for two games. Dayton vs any two 20-4A opponents over the last four or five years.

[/quote] What would you consider more relevant for a 4A team. Putting up 56 points on a 3A team or playing a 5A playoff team to the wire. Once district starts everybody is 0 and 0. That includes Central, which will be a better team for playing better teams.

Eagle football fans are being taught a very good lesson. Humility Look for the lesson to continue for at least three more weeks.

With those you get first choice at playoff tickets. Odds are Dayton might just once again be the last 4A team playing east of Houston (for the 4th straight year). And at least the playoff loses weren't on the Broncos home field with a jumbotron replaying all nine touchdowns in that 63 to 0 lose  ;D That being said... Watched the scrimmage with Dayton and Nederland, got some big old boys in the trenches for the Bulldogs.  If Nederland can keep their kids healthy they could make some noise in division I playoffs this year.  Good luck to your Bulldogs (except when they play they play my Indians).

Sorry for the delay, took advantage of the Broncos open week and went and shoot golf this morning at Pecan Grove in Richmond.  Life is good (2 BIRDIES IN A ROW!). Anyways... With the exeption of Dayton, and maybe Crosby, it doesn't matter who gets 3rd and 4th, both those teams from 19-4A will be bulldozed into basketball season in the first round of the playoffs. CE King and North Forest have the talent, can they get direction? Galena Park's offensive numbers will tumble when they square up against Crosby and Dayton.

If Lumberton or LC-M opens with PA Memorial then West Brook, both those teams would also be 0 and 2. Central will be a better team for playing better competition.

Speaking of point totals. I know no one from the Triangle wants someone from Dayton to post the last five years for Dayton vs 20-4A. Truth be told, 20-4A has a lot more depth, but king of the hill is still Dayton.

I am really sorry about excluding the 3A and even 5A schools. I grew up in SETX and graduated from PN-G in 1985, and I know from experience the enthusiasm that Friday Night Lights brings to the communities in the Golden Triangle. My favorite two years of being a Dayton Bronco fan was when Dayton was in what is now 20-4A. I really miss the road trips to the Triangle and playing in front of packed home stands. I am only one person and during the day I teach 7th grade pre-algebra, 8th grade math, 8th grade pre-algebra and algebra I. I have my plateful teaching the kids in Dayton, but I find time at home to add my enthusiasm to Friday Night Lights. I must have a following because during the playoffs my site last year was getting over 10,000 hits a day. I just don't have time nor the knowledge of making predictions and commenting on the 3A and 5A schools. Good luck to Kirbyville and WOS. Went to Lamar with a guy from Kirbyville and he was AWEsome. Remember ALL of this is about the young men on the field and to me all the other students involved in creating a special three hour period each Friday evening in Texas.  It truly does teach our youth about something more than just football.  I would also like to think the readers who have helped me correct the errors I type.  Wish I had an editor.

The thought of making a racially toned post shouldn't cross anybody's mind on this board. That being said I'M IN! I am a cajun, but the smartest thing my great grandfather did was move from Lafayette to PORT NECHES! The smartest person in Louisiana is the one who moves to Texas  ;D The smartest thing my mom did (class of 1960 from Nederland) was move to Port Neches and raise her kids! Thank goodness I was raised as an Indian! My blood still bleeds purple and it's good, because right now I turn Wilson JH Ponies into Dayton Broncos by making them ALWAYS BELIEVE!
